Stayed 3 times, Basic rooms-nothing fancy. That said it's a unique experience. Rooms are clean. The one caution is to be careful when you stay. They often host wedding receptions next door (in the hanger) and many attendees stay at the Selkirk. This usually results in inebriated individuals in the hallways late at night which can be very disturbing. Rooms...

Stayed there several times. The rooms are exactly what you would have rented in that era; experience what life's amenities had to offer in days gone by. Furnishings are stylish. very clean and cozy. Food in the dining room was delicious. Friendly service. The staff dress and play the part very well. I highly recommend this experience. You will not...

I was disappointed with our experience at the Selkirk Hotel. I understand that the hotel was built in a different Era of time but generally we come to expect certain amenities in a hotel these days. For one example there was no TV in our room. Also no wifi was available. Our room rate did allow us to visit Ft....

Hi there, thanks for your honest review. All of our hotel rooms include admission to the Park during the summer season, perhaps you came during the off-season in which case the living history museum is closed. We understand WiFi connection could be improved (but is available) and the team is working on a solution to make it more reliable for...

We attended a wedding inside the park so decided to stay in the Selkirk for convenience. It was obviously off season so there wasn't a lot open other than the theatre but the park was beautiful after an early season snowfall the day we arrived. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient, we were disappointed to learn that there were...

Hi there, thanks for your honest feedback. The Hotel is known for it's quietude being away from the hubbub of busy city streets, something that a lot of guests view as a major bonus. However, we appreciate your sincere feedback.

It was a really busy weekend in Edmonton - the Edmonton Marathon was on downtown...didn't want to be driving there. The Blues Festival and the Fringe were also on and it seemed that so many places were booked. That's when I found Hotel Selkirk. We checked in and were told that we had access to Fort Edmonton even though the...

The poor score I gave is based on the customer service I received at the front desk....or lack thereof to be more accurate. I contacted the hotel through e-mail to inquire about booking 2 rooms, and the reply I received was not very informative at all. They said they had rooms. That's it. Didn't tell me how to book the...

On a whim I decided to stay at the Selkirk at Ft. Edmonton. The fort has been built over the decades, and the Selkirk was one of the historic buildings moved there and "modernized." My room was small but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Best of all, you can freely roam Ft. Edmonton and its reconstruction of period...

Arriving from out of town, we stayed here 2 nights while attending a friend's wedding. Hotel guests have free park admission during the day and can enjoy the quietness of it in the evening for a stroll down the pioneer ear streets. Very comfortable room; quiet hallways; very good nights' sleep. Room was spotless and inviting. Front desk staff was...

We stayed at the Selkirk Hotel in Fort Edmonton Park as we were attending the wedding of a niece. It was an excellent choice. Very quiet. Very close to the Blatchford Hanger, where the wedding was held. The king size bed was very comfortable.

2nd time coming here off season and it is just lovely. We were treated very well and the food was fantastic. The buildings were closed but there is still great places to walk. The animals and the tram were getting ready for the summer season. Lots of things to do once open. Pricey though.
