We stayed over night at the River Cree and were impressed with the cleanliness of everything. Our room was sanitized and very clean. Customer service at the front desk, both checking in and out, was very friendly. We took advantage of the 1/2 price pizza and wings and the 5.99 breakfast and both were very good, especially when you consider the price. We didn't win big at the casino but again was impressed with the amount of cleaning, the availability of hand sanitizer and wipes. It was a great stay.

We had booked our wedding reception at River Cree Resort & Casino at beginning of 2019 with wedding date of August 2020. But then the world was hit with covid-19 in early 2020, so we had decided to postpone for a year. Director, Gary kept us in the loop of relaunches phases and was fairly confident that small weddings could go forward. As phases started to re-open, we decided to go ahead with a 50 person wedding. River Cree was able to keep our original wedding date even after switching forward temporarily. Gary assisted us with planning process and was very accommodating. He provided a handful of his contacts to get us items/services for our Big Day even more special. He also scored us a pair of Throne Chairs for our Sweetheart Table on crazy discount compared to us trying to rent on our own. ~ The lovely Larissa assisted with hotel bookings and made sure all was well with the rooms and offered her assistance as needed. I honestly loved the room suite we were provided and was surprised with a couple of gift baskets too. Very sweet and thoughtful. My room suite worked out perfect for professional photos after bridal party was all ready from glam team. This shows that Gary paid attention to my request about having a room with good lightening for photos. Larissa provided some of her time morning of wedding to take some getting ready photos for my ladies and I until our wedding photographer arrived. Thank you Larissa!! ~ The Banquet Room was very open and spread out to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Cloth masks were provided at every chair as well. Even despite a couple hiccups leading to wedding party arrival at reception, River Cree remained accommodating to our requests. The Banquet room looked so beautiful with RC decor provided and our own decorations brought in. The Appetizer, Main course and Dessert were delicious and was enjoyed by our guests. And as Gary promised, he had some extra plates brought up to our honeymoon room along with some champagne and chocolate strawberries plus some beers for our enjoyment after a big & busy day of getting married. ~ River Cree to us is...."Where it all Started" as we first met each other here and we both knew we wanted to have our wedding reception here. River Cree did not disappoint and definitely exceeded our expectations! ~ Director Gary, Manager David and their attentive banquet service team did an Amazing & Outstanding jobs during the entire reception and even during our rehearsal dinner as well!! We were seriously so Impressed and Blown away from their services! Thank you so much Gary, David & Staff!!!

The communication between us and Gary upon booking the place is extraordinary considering we had tons of question to make sure that everything is taking care off and lots of consideration are ask due to the different normal that we are experiencing at this time. Gary is quick to response and very assuring that all our needs are met. Without a doubt our experience was one of the best we had. David and his staff was all hands from the time we're there until we left the place which shows a true example of excellent hospitality. The level of services from them to us is really high and much appreciated considering what is happening around us we felt safe inside the premises not only because of the place itself but the respect and friendly approached that David and staff provided. The food that was served to us is really great and the price is surprisingly good. The less amount of the food pricing does not reflect the quality and taste of the food that was served to us! We really enjoyed it!
Overall I think I can speak on behalf of everyone that we had a great time with our celebration in the hotel. For sure we will not look anywhere else if we need to book for another in the future. Not only the things that we ask was met but it went beyond our expectation!
Really appreciate everything and again would like to thank Gary, David and his team! The cleanliness of the place, food and everything really add up to the good memories that we had to the graduation celebration for our four kids. This may supersedes the expected grad celebration that we had in mind before the pandemic.
I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family if they need to have the same service. You should try them too. Very highly recommended!

I attended a business convention at this site. The hotel was well suited for a convention. The meeting rooms were well apportioned and the room for meals is also used for concerts. There was a great display of concerts that had been held and would be held in the venue. The meals were excellent. We were all very well fed with great meals and the catering staff were very helpful and responsive. Was not able to stay at the hotel as the rooms booked up so quickly but those lucky enough to get rooms said they were very good. Didn't check out the casino but lots of people were playing. Definitely will go back here.

I came here on a bus trip in July and was greatly impressed with everything. .The staff members in every area were helpful and friendly. I want to thank Nilushi at the front desk for meeting some of my special needs very promptly and efficiently. We had the tour group tickets for food and the breakfasts were wonderful and very generous. The choices for dinner were also great and the food was delicious. Thanks to Marilyn a server in The Kitchen for chatting with us about our upcoming visit to West Edmonton Mall and that Newfoundland accent made my day. Also Marko(?) who served us at dinner one night and was extremely helpful. I apologize for the fact that some of our group don't think about tipping enough as many would only tip for their drinks, not the meal that was pre-paid. I tried to make up for it my tipping very generously as each meal. The room was very clean, quiet, comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. I asked a cleaner who was working on my floor for some extra coffee and cups and she immediately gave me some from her cart (I didn't have to call the desk and wait for the items). I went to my room to get a tip for her but she wouldn't accept it. She said she is so happy to serve us. I will be back and thank you for everything.

I was going to surprise my friend for her birthday. And, as always, the best host Gary Butler worked his magic and arrange for us "last minute" table reservation. Food, atmosphere and service were absolutely 💯 satisfaction!!!! Everything was sunitized and servers were compliant with "new normal" rules. Our first stay at the River Cree but it won’t be our last. The rooms, casino & restaurants were all very clean. There are always a lot of staff working whom were all very pleasant. The shower had great pressure & the bed was very comfortable, every room is equipped with a Mini fridge, microwave & coffee maker. There are so many places to eat at any time day or night. In Tap 25 they do a $5.99 breakfast which was very good & every day between 2pm & 5pm they have 50% off the entire menu. There is also The Kitchen, Fatburger, grab & go, Italia & Asian. The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus to & from West Edmonton Mall, reception will give you a timetable. All in all if you’re looking for a hotel in Edmonton we can’t recommend the River Cree enough. Absolutely loved our stay here.

We stayed at the River Cree Hotel for one night for my wife's birthday. The rooms are getting dated in desperate need of a refresh. I find the rooms very cramped, and the front entrance traffic flow is extremely confusing for most people. As well, because it is attached to the casino, you end up parking so far from the hotel itself.
The price on Expedia was very reasonable and the city view versus non-city view is not worth the upgrade. You are either overlooking the icerink and a field on the one side, or the parking lot and costco on the other.

This is definitely a five star property . The director of rooms Flavia pesonally made sure that our accessible room was avilable with a roll in shower. We have never felt so welcome. I tried the tenderloin burger again. Not sure what happened last time but It was the best burger I have ever had. My wifes meal was also awesome . The maiter d' of the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and all the staff helpful One of the best hotel vists ever!

Its open fully the hotel is first rate but the restaurants are crap . The best food can be found at Fatburger . We had the wings best ever so sorry we didn't go back for are main meal.
There are more places to choose from in the Edmonton area.
