I stayed here for four nights at a cost of over £1100. Extremely overpriced for what they provide. The rooms are very basic, carpets blotched with stains and the kitchens need updating. Few shops nearby, it was a 20 minute walk to downtown where all the shops and restaurants were. I would not stay here again because it was poor value for money.

Very strange sort of room. Virtually a one bedroom flat! Certainly plenty of room to spread out. Next door to the Chateau Jasper which provided good buffet style food. Easy to walk into town and to Nesters, the supermarket. A bit dated and odd but ok for a couple of nights.

We stayed for two nights. It is a strange hotel. The decor needs updating. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but appears there is in the corridors. There is no restaurant at the hotel, although there is in the hotel next door but this has to cater for it's own guests, plus Lobsticks guests. It is a good 15 minute walk into town to find something to eat. It would appear the Starbucks opens to coincide with the arrival/departure of tour busses.

Dear daddyano50, Thank you for your recent visit to Lobstick Lodge. I was disappointed to read our hotel and services didn't meet your expectations. Unfortunately, our hotel rooms are not equipped with air conditioning units, and this is noted online. There are several restaurants located just a couple of minutes' walking distance from Lobstick Lodge. Our Crazy Elk Café is open daily from 7am-12pm and additionally 3pm-6pm on weekends. We also have our Starbucks Café open daily, and it is located by Marmot Lodge, just a few minutes on foot. I truly regret that your stay with us was not optimal, and we hope you enjoyed your time in Jasper. Kind regards, Pavel Myska Guest Services Manager

I have nothing nice to say about this hotel. I have to give a star but I wouldn’t have given it if it was up to me. Not near town, no restaurant, uncomfortable beds, really disordered reception staff. There are better places. Jasper is a pretty town with lots to see and nicer places to stay.

I feel with not having breakfast included in the price, and no a/c in the rooms the price should be lower then other stays in Jasper. The location was decent but the room got so hot we couldn’t sleep comfortably and had to have the door open most of the time to let in air flow. The kids complained about the sofa bed being uncomfortable and my bed was actually broken therefore felt like I was about to roll off the bed. No daily housekeeping available.

Dear G9311MBjennys, Thank you for taking the time to leave us with your feedback. It's great to read the location of our property was convenient for you. Unfortunately, our rooms are not equipped with air conditioning units, and this is mentioned online. Daily housekeeping service is upon request by handing door signs outside, and additional stand-alone fans can be also delivered upon request. I hope you were able to address the issue regarding the bed with our front desk team, so it can be looked into immediately. Should this still need to be addressed, I would appreciate it if you could contact me at pmyska@pursuitcollection.com so I can gather more information regarding your reservation and the unit. Thank you for the valuable feedback, and we appreciate your business. Kind regards, Pavel Myska Guest Services Manager

A little tired in my opinion. The rooms were a good size and bed comfortable, but the rooms were quite dark and the wall paper coming unglued in the bathroom, which was very small. Breakfast was served in the Hotel next door. It looked like the restaurant had closed since Covid.

Dear Sonyafromkent, Thank you for taking the time to leave us with your review. I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us and found the rooms large and the beds comfortable. Very disappointed with this hotel. On check-in the staff did the minimum to check you in. No friendly greeting, no offers of information. The room was clean but looked tired and dated. It was ready for a full refit. Decor was a dull beige. The building has a restaurant but it is closed. We had to go out to another hotel or walk 20 minutes into town to get breakfast. There is a small coffee shop in the lobby but it was only open between 7.00am and 10.00am in the mornings. We stayed 3 nights and the room was not made up at all in that time. We had to go to reception to ask for more shower gel, tea, coffee, etc. During the day there were a large number of staff servicing rooms after guests had checked out. Not one of them ever said hello!

We stayed here for two nights. Hotel was booked three years ago pre-Covid so when I read recent reviews prior to our visit I was concerned. However, I have no complaints. Check in was friendly and prompt. Room was fine, clean and comfortable. Yes, the hotel is a bit dated and could do with an upgrade in places but it’s absolutely fine and fits in with the character of the place. It’s a good 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Jasper which we enjoyed. We didn’t eat/drink at the hotel. There is a Starbucks which only seems to be open for a couple of hours on a morning but that didn’t bother us as there are loads of places to eat/drink in Jasper. I think some of the other reviews are a bit unfair and I would be happy to stay here again.

Tolerable at best. I stayed there with my Sister-in-law on the long weekend in May. We were looking for comfortable accommodation in the Jasper area and the photos looked promising. After staying here, I would give this place only 3 stars because I found it to be outdated as the other reviewers stated. The walls were paper thin and there was a barking dog on the other side of our wall. There was no air conditioning and the curtains had to be closed to keep the light out, so the windows being open really did nothing. The weather wasn't that hot and it was hot in the room, I cannot imagine a stay during the summer. The restuarant attached was not open (since COVID apparently) and this wasn't mentioned at the time of booking, nor in any of the booking emails I received. They should update their website or at least inform guests looking to stay with them. I will say, the bed at least seemed clean and was comfortable which is the main reason I found this place tolerable. We did not use the pool or hot tub.
