Took the train to Jasper Nov 24, 2016, and stayed in a cabin at Bear Hill Lodge for three nights. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff obviously started the fireplace for us before arrival, so it was nice a cozy when we walked in out of the cold. It is walking distance to downtown, but we chose to... More

Booked the Chalet Studio. It was very spacious. Two beds, plus pull-out. Kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals and when I needed a larger fry pan, I just went to the office and they found one for me. Had a hot tub that all guests could use which was great after a full day of hiking. Usually... More

My family and I have been staying at Bear Hill lodge for numerous years. Every time we go to Jasper we would stay here. It's quaint, quiet and private yet close enough to walk into town for your needs. I always try to get a cabin backing onto the wooded area because I love seeing the wildlife wander through. The... My friend & I stayed in one of the smaller cabins with no kitchen but we were so pleased with our quaint and comfortable accommodation. Nestled beneath Bear Mountain and within easy walking distance to the shops & restaurants of downtown Jasper it was a delight to come "home" every evening to our cozy cabin and comfy beds. The breakfasts... More

We booked 3 months in advance the Queen Lodge Room which is one out of four rooms that located above the entrance of the main building. The room was nice, but dark, we barely had light in the room, only in the bath room and above our bed. All the electrical outlet didn't work so we couldn't even use the... More

Thank you for comments. I regret that your stay was less than satisfactory. We have added better lamps to our lodge rooms . Had you come to us at the time we would have found a remedy for you . The electrical outlets have ground fault switches which need to be reset once they trip, again something which had an... More

It was a stormy winter day when we left Edmonton, and by the time we arrived in Jasper, we were so glad to find a welcoming place to bed down. What a pleasure to discover the gas fire was lit, the cabin toasty warm and everything clean and comfortable, that we all wanted to move in permanently. Because there were... More

The cabins are clean and comfortable with all the kitchen supplies and amenities you need. Prices have gone up a lot but there is good ongoing maintenance. Most rooms are pet friendly. Breakfasts are a highlight, with fresh in-house made fruit salad, muffins and scones as well as European-style offerings of cheese, cold cuts, croissants, muesli, and more.

The staff was great, they greeted us with friendly smiles and a nice little bottle of sparkling wine in our room upon arrival. We were able to make breakfast in our kitchen area and eat while looking up at the mountains. Being able to have a fire both nights of our stay was truly wonderful. We did not want to... More

Stayed 3 nights mid October in the Colin Room. Evenings were quiet even with the windows open for the fresh brisk mountain air. Hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was very sufficient to start the day and the coffee was great. Room was very comfortable and had a gas fireplace to provide a nice mountain... More

We checked into cabin #3 and were greeted by a lovely woman who took time to go over all the area highlights with us and give us some tips. I'm sure she's done that speech thousands of times but her enthusiasm made us feel like we were the first ones and she was happy to share her local knowledge. The... More
