I stayed at the hotel a few days before Christmas. I had booked a room with a sitting area, and had requested a ground floor room. When I arrived early in the afternoon, I was given a tiny room on the second floor. On checking the room I found it would have been impossible for me as there was a very narrow staircase and I would not have been able to get my luggage up the stairs. I was then given a room on the ground floor.
The first thing that I did not like about the new room was that it took me several minutes to find a light switch. The main switch was hidden behind the bathroom door. The room was cramped with only an office chair to sit in.
The bed was OK and the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was regular Super 8.

we went to Red Deer to visit relatives , and stayed at the hotel for two nights , check in was great , key worked fine , ac was set on kill (60)so i turned up the temperature , to warm it up, . there was a bad odor like socks , so i went to window and found it unlocked , and on a ground floor was a serious security threat , it took me a while to jam the window hard enough to get the latch to lock . I moved the desk chair and found the source of the smell , two socks left behind by previous tenant , obviously the vacuuming was poorly done . i went to desk as we were going out to eat , and told the staff at the desk , who apologized for the issue and looked after it right away . lots of trash on lot and overflowing garbage cans and a lot of garbage at the back of the property . It was a cheap price , but if charged a little more and paid to look after these downfalls would make more money and have better reviews , it was a double room but only one towel , one facecloth , one hand towel and no toiletries , no breakfast . i suggest paying a little more and staying at a better hotel for a better experience . . the desk staff did not charge a pet fee of $25 per day for my inconvenience . Our small dog sleeps in her own cage

Originally got the room because of the lower price than everywhere else. But there is a reason why it’s cheap. Hallways smell, room smell, wallpaper peeling in the room. Faucet fixtures leaking, and calcium buildup around them. Blankets have burn holes, and the mattresses feel like concrete. Internet didn’t work properly, and you can smell people smoking, even though the rooms say non-smoking! Just do yourself a favour, and pay a little more for a better place to sleep.

We canceled our reservation way before the check in time and the manger charged me 100$. Wouldn’t refund it. Said if he was the manager he would but he can’t. Best part we found out HE is the manager. Do not waste your money, he is slimy and I’m pretty sure he poked that 100$

no phones in rooms, dim lit hallways, carpets in room felt like they had a wax on them.
staff not knowledgeable on safety protocol when dealing with emergencies.
my grandma fell in her room and she couldn't find a phone and so she was left on the floor from 5am until 10 am when i arrived and found her, and this was the day after i got married

It was the long weekend August 1, 2022 and we hade reservations from Travelocity. July 30th i decide to tell them I'm going to be checking in late to find all reservations are cancelled as they had a boiler leak. No apology just contact Travelocity and they will give you a room in another hotel for same price which was 89/night. So I called Travelocity (another nightmare) when I was told no rooms available except 660 for 2 nights. No compensation and long weekend no hotels had any rooms. After over 3 hours on phone with Travelocity they offered a 75. coupon..thats it..nothing from the Manager..no contact phone or email. Just "oh we did cancel your reservation os no cost to you"..absolutely outrageous. ..and we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary to boot

We stayed in the hotel only 15 minutes. The only thing that was satisfactory is that they gave my money back as soon as I showed them pictures of mushrooms in my room. Smelled of cigarette and had holes in the sheets. Window did not lock, just had a bathroom bar wedged in place to prevent it opening. Glad I didn’t take my shoes off or have a UV light.

The carpets in hallways and staircases were dirty and stained smelt horrible, room had spots that were not finished from repair so some spots not painted, no breakfast with stay even though made seemed there is. Recycled coffee in room from other peoples stays and not being used. No spare pillows . Non stop traffic in Hallway late into the night, not overly friendly when checking in they can’t get you out of the lobby fast enough.

This hotel was very dirty, no towels or “regular supplies” provided - soap, shampoo, pillows, Kleenex, water etc. tears and stains everywhere. Only hotel that we have stayed that felt icky and that you’re wanting to sleep in your own clothes.
