We camped at Birken Lakeside Resort recently over the labour day weekend. We struggled to find a place to camp as we booked very last minute and every provincial park was full, and were surprised when we found Birken Lakeside Resort had availability, so we jumped on it. When we arrived on the Friday the campsite was nearly empty. I... More

Beautiful lakeside campground with campsites for tenters, RVs and cabin dwellers. Annie was very friendly and the campground is well run. Warm and clean bathrooms with hot showers are available, and an area to wash dishes. There is a communal bbq and deck area, as well as a hot tub. The lake is large and refreshing and the dock is... Annie was a lovely host and it was just what we needed for a weekend away from the city! so relaxing, clean, great location, quiet, getaway! they have bbq's, well-kept bathrooms with hot showers, outdoor hot tub, firepits, right beside a beautiful swimmable lake, with use of the kayaks. the grill hut is serving... We visited during Pemberton festival weekend and were pleasantly surprised by how well organized they were during such a chaotic busy weekend. We were there with our three month old daughter (on her first vacation:) and we stayed in one of the cabins (the library), which was charming and pretty well equipped, all of the cabins and campsites were booked... Annie and staff were super friendly and helpful. Beautiful property across the street from Gates Lake, with a private dock for resort guests, provided an abundance of activities to keep us busy with activities. Cabin has a lot of charater, and was extremely well decorated and equipped. If you don't feel like cooking or driving into town, they also have... More

I held my small wedding at Birken Lake resort in summer 2016. I can't express my gratitude enough to Annie and Sharon and the rest of the staff. They were phenomenal - they helped set up, take down, decorate and clean and supported me with whatever I needed. Some guests even told me it was the best wedding they've ever... More

Sorry folks, but... The campsites were not clearly marked, so finding a spot was a little difficult, the resort is a fight against nature, the sites need to be tidied up a bit and maintained. I know it must be hard to keep the place going but please just get rid of all the rusting ex-fire places and unused tables... More

We camped here for a few days. The camp site was clean, level and rock free, with a couple of community camp fires nearby. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the facilities much better than we expected at most camp sites. Its a gorgeous part of the country, with fresh fruit stands nearby and amazing kayaking just up... More

A fairy tale setting, you're surrounded by tall fir trees competing for the canopy undulating in the breeze. Cross the street that takes you to the resort and you can enjoy a nice swim in the clear water of the Gates lake. If weather is not that hot, and kayak trip is still an option since the kayaks are included... More

I was in for a wedding in June, we were a rowdy bunch and I'm sure tested the owners to the limit! They were extremely accommodating and friendly at all times, absolute pros. I'm sure it wasn't their first rodeo... The grounds and scenery were stunning, a ton of fun - I highly recommend to anyone who wants to rough... More
