Our experience was cut short due to weather. We booked the week but the weather turned bad and there was very little for us to do in doors. For the cost of the stay we couldn't justify being bored and waiting for the rain to pass. The food was very good and the cabin we booked was beautiful. Our welcome... More

We are very sorry for the rain that shadowed your stay, unfortunately there was nothing we could do about this. Despite the spell of bad weather we had many alternative activities available to help cure the boredom. Our family game room was in action as our other guests were enjoying the entertainment being provided. It is unfortunate that your holiday... More

I go on horse vacations yearly. This wasn't my first. Hospitality was very much lacking. The hired help were not properly trained to meet and greet the guests but I shouldn't dis them because the owners were the same! They tried to make this a semi formal atmosphere with the owners and hired help eating in the kitchen. All my... More

We went to ride horseback, relax, be in nature, see the stars at night. It was a vacation that I can’t wait to do all over again. I can’t recommend a stay at Big Creek Lodge too highly. Treat yourself! Treat your family! We travelled from Vancouver by car up to Williams Lake, then headed West, following the directions Joe... More

When I came to Canada, I wanted to see some of the "real" Canada, meaning mountains, lakes and pure nature. Big Creek Lodge was a perfect starting Point for that ! It's in the middle of nowhere (booking.com says 50 Meters from Highway but it's 50 km!), no houses around, no phone Service (only wireless in the lodge). The Lodge... More

This was my second time visiting Big Creek Lodge Guest Ranch and like the first time, I’ve had an amazing time here. Joe and Sabine are really heart-warming people and are always willing to go that extra mile for you! We stayed in one of the rooms in the main lodge. The room was clean, big (even had a couch... I was greeted with a warm welcome when I arrived here. The Lodge is located in a beautiful remote setting of western BC. The typical picture of Cowboy Country in the true wild West of Canada. Just perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, horses, nature walks, hunting, fishing, hiking, mountain biking and more. I had a wonderful Christmas Holiday... More

Our first problem at the Big Creek Lodge was that the rooms we stayed in (No. 1 and 3) were really noisy. One could hear fairly loud noise coming from the kitchen as well as the dining and living room most of the time between 6:30 am and 9:00 pm. In addition, we could hear the son of the owners... More

Okay so we booked this lodge with high expectations, looks wonderful online. Except online there is no way of telling what sort of welcome you will have, how long the drive is from the main road to the lodge and how absolutely awful the food is. The owner was rude beyond words, and we cancelled the rest of our stay... More
