Room 117 bathtub. No bath plug and front desk couldn't find one either. Caulking was grungy and separating from tub and tile. PLUS you had to turn the faucet a whole rotation and half to get cold temp water. It started out scalding then gradually went to cold. So weird and so dangerous.

Stayed in the suites and thoroughly enjoyed it! Although no regular housekeeping during Covid, when I did request it I was pleasantly surprised by a complete clean by a 'thinking staff person. A full and complete job. Front desk staff were also pleasant and committed to making a good stay experience.

Disgusting and the most appealing hotel I have ever tried to enter. I can’t believe you guys even try to consider yours lives as a hotel. You guys should be classified as a motel. I am absolutely totally disgusted in the fact that you consider your hotel clean you guys should all be ashamed of your management

staying at sandman was great. We are a larger family and the size of the family kitchenette suited our needs. time and cost of the stay fit our budget and was close enough to family that we had initially gone to visit

Was on a business trip through the Cariboo region and had 2 nights spent in hotels. I spent the first night at Sandman Prince George and was unimpressed with service and very unhappy with cleanliness of room. I found a used cue tip and clothes tags on the floor. The shampoo and hand sanitizer was left from the last guests instead of replacing them with new. Felt like they hadn’t bothered to clean the room at all.
I spent the next night in Williams lake Sandman and was impressed from check in to check out with the staff and the room. Had the exact same type of room in both properties. Highly recommend the Williams lake property.
I mentioned the issues to the staff at the Prince George property and was not sure they even cared. The manager sat in the office and pretended not to hear the complaint.
I travel for work and spend 6-10 nights in hotels every month.

Family of 4 and first time staying at Sandman Williams Lake and we had such a great stay even with all the restrictions. Brent was working the frontdesk and received us ever so warmly. I didn't realize that the room I originally booked didn't have a microwave (we need it for the food we carried all the way with us to avoid take outs) and he moved us with zero issues or fuss and ever so warmly again, in a sweet suite that we truly enjoyed and appreciated. Comfy beds, comfy pillows, 2 rooms plus a sofa bed, equipped kitchen, lots of space and tv's! Everyone was happy.
We asked for some extra stuff and Brent showed up again in zero time to bring them. Great housekeeping right there.
When we left the next morning, Brent again was the face who greeted us and checked us out. He's the nicest and the kindest. I've stayed in lots of hotel and never been received as warm as he did. Thanks Brent and Sandman! He's a keeper and exceptional. We'd truly stay here again.

We were traveling to Prince George and we spent the night here, I booked for 3 adults. we booked the king suite. When we arrived the clerk was not friendly and since we had alot of luggage and a cooler I asked for a cart and she told me to go to the court yard, I asked where the court yard was and she pointed to the side of the building. We couldnt find the court yard and it was 9pm and dark out so we had to bring everything through the lobby and up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway to get to the elevator. I dont recommend this hotel for anyone that might have a disability because every entrance has stairs. We arrived at our room on the 3rd floor, there is one elevator in the building. I first realized that they only gave us 2 towels, there was no bedding for the pullout couch, and the room was dirty. I called to the front desk for more towels and bedding and she replied no. I said you gave us 2 towels and there are 3 adults, she said come and get them. So I went all the way down to get them and told her I need bedding, again she said no. I then said well if you aren't going to give us bedding then there is no where for my daughter to sleep so you better give me my money back and we will go some where else. she then found us some bedding. I took pictures and reported everything to the front desk in the morning, there was a new clerk on duty and she said the manager would be calling me and that they would more then likely give me a free night but I never heard from them. I do not recommend staying at this hotel , it was dirty, the bathroom door lock was broken, the tv didnt work, the pullout couch has a mattress that is about 3" thick, there was food on the floor, and the cobwebs in the bedroom were gross, all the walls have rub marks and are dirty and the fixtures in the bathroom were all rusty.

Me and my kids joined my husband and his team for a mine rescue competition hosted in Williams lake this past June 2023. Needless to say it was absolutely awful to stay here ! My kids clothes and type 1 diabetes supplies bag got soaked with the wetness on the floor under the air conditioner (most rooms our team was staying in reported that they had this wet floor issue in their room too!) had I not been in a rush and walked in with my shoes and just placed my bags down out of the way I could have saved my daughters clothes in her backpack from getting wet and her diabetes supplies I had to keep in a cool area until I could make room in the fridge for it .. the bottom of her supply boxes got soaked and unsure if this could have been mould under the rug or not… taking the chance with her supplies not being contaminated is a situation we take lightly . A huge area of the floor was squishy and wet!
The bed frame had 2x4’s sticking out that my youngest smoked her head on while she was playing between the beds and we constantly were hitting our ankles on the pieces sticking out , the water came out rusty yellow in the bathtub and the water faucet was corroded with crusty debris and previous guests toothpaste. The pillow cases were not clean either. Our one team members who did get moved to a new room had a room with open wires exposed with no electrical covers. We were told no other rooms were available to move to. Whether the wet floor had mould under the rug I cannot be sure but my youngest had asthma/allergies that worsened over the two nights we stayed. I would NOT recommend any of my family or friends to ever stay here it was such a disappointment!

Arrived to learn that we would be in the “old” section of the hotel and that our room would not have air conditioning. This was the pet section of the hotel. Talk about feeling like a second class citizen! Room was hot with a small fan to circulate the hot air and the windows were locked and could not be opened. After a horrible sleep we left early. Do not stay at this hotel if you have a pet!

I am writing you today, to inform you of quality of the Sandman hotel & Suites in William lakes British Columbia.
This hotel is so dirty it wouldn't pass health and safety check. In the room itself, hallways, lobby, or shared areas.
Washrooms dirty, and soiled. Our room didn't have basic A/C that worked in our room on a 37 degree day.
There was a broken and missing security lock on our room door. No main entrance or entry way to the hotel, back or front had any kind of working lock on the doors for security. We felt very unsafe.
This hotel does not compare to any standard expected in a Sandman brand hotel.
To say my husband and I were disgusted is an understatement.

We saw a charge on our visa for $684.40 and we didn't even stay there then. We paid for our stay their with RBC Points a month earlier, and used the visa they used as a security visa. We have contacted them MANY times and nothing has been done! It has been over 5 months now!
Very un impressed!

Airport Shuttle?
Answer from GM_Williams_Lake
Williams Lake, Canada
Hello Scotoso, There isn't an airport shuttle that provides service to and from the hotel. Town taxi does provide service to and from the airport. I hope that helps!
