We will never trust Coast Hotel brand name again after this experience. We came in and it was as if someone had already used the room. We had to clean the tub and sink. We had to make our own beds! It's like somebody stayed in this room and decided they didn't want it, and room service did not come back in after them. Somebody has obviously smoked in this room in the past and the remnants still linger it's also potential that a pet has stayed in this room too. We talked to the front desk girl and brought her in to see. The towels and pillows were disheveled like someone used them or cleaning staff just didn't care how they were placed. She told us she would clean it perfectly. She brought in a can of room spray and opened the windows. She didn't bring in cleaners. Room spray doesn't clean rooms!!! There's actually tooth paste spray on the bottom of the mirror. ( on the wooden part) Walls and roof still have decades-old stucco, curtains and all appliances are dated and mismatched. Beds are old, hard, lumpy and very uncomfortable. Furniture is dated paint is chipped. ÀààOnly had two very small pillows on each bed. Feels like a blast back to the 80s! For this poor service and dated old room they charged us $165!. Do not stay in this hotel! If it's the last hotel in town we suggest you drive on to 100 Mile House or Quesnel! This is our 16th anniversary trip and I was especially looking forward to this hotel because coast is generally not just a beautiful, clean hotel but also an experience. Cleaning staff need to be taught how to clean and they need to renovate in order to justify luxury hotel prices..This is a motel six with a nice label. Stay away Important to note: this hotel is directly across from the Williams lake aAmbulance station. Expect siren!…
nothing positive about this hotel, dirty carpets smell. Loud guests roaming the hallways . Exit doors propped open where anyone can come in so no safety > Really no positive response when you tell front desk your concerns just a oh sorry we will look into it . While i was checking out at 3 am due to the loud people i could see security cameras . I asked the front desk person if you have these why is nothing being done for the people that pay and all they want is a quiet night sleep. Really didn't get ananswer. I told my friend that had paid she should get her $$ back as it truly was the worst night in a hotel i'd ever spent. Instead of the mind calming experience it was supposed to be i ended up sleeping in my car along the trip home. so sad
We stayed three nights in February for our daughters wedding (in February, yea...) The hotel was typical but very clean and comfortable at a reasonable price. We will be visiting Williams Lake regularly now that our daughter lives here and will stay here again.
Myself and three colleagues had reservations at this hotel for the dates of January 3-7, 2022. This hotel is completely disgusting. I cannot believe that it has the Coast name or is listed as a three star hotel. It is certainly not a three star hotel. It was absolutely filthy. My one colleague entered a room that had not been cleaned with unmade beds, personal objects, empty beer cans, etc. This does not seem to be consistent with your COVID policies. The second room was not much better as the bed sheets had blood on them. My second colleague found feces left in her toilet. My room was terrible. The furniture was very dirty, there was mould on the walls and ceiling, it had not been thoroughly cleaned, well, ever. There were no bed skirts, just bare box springs, the sheets were very wrinkled like maybe they had not been changed. Please see some of the pictures I took. This is not an inclusive display of the problems, but was taken to show our work. I do think they provide an idea of the state of this Coast Hotel though. Again, I am shocked the Coast name is on this property. On a positive note, we did have fun playing "what was killed here, human or moose?" while looking at the stained carpets…
The location was perfect, laundry drop off service was walking distance, convenient store had a great selection of items, the hotel staff were friendly with greetings, booking was prompt. Thee view over looking the city at night was beautiful. The massage chair was priced right for the service it provided. My first choice to stay the next visit.
At check in, my reservation was "missing" and my room was not available. I provided the confirmation number and showed it to the front desk reception. She worked hard to find me a room, which unfortunately was right next to the fire doors. These slammed as people moved around until very late at night. Towels were old. Carpets -very old and worn out. The hotel is not up to standard.
I checked in late and was pleased to find my room very quiet despite the hotel being very busy with hockey tournament guests. Everything was clean and comfortable- exactly what I was looking for after a long day of driving.
it is time for a much needed remodelling of the hotel rooms. I always stay here when travelling but wont be back until i here that there has been an upgrade. The staff were very helpful and very friendly as always.
confirm rooms are clean, room was not clean, garbage in garbage can in the living room, toilet was not clean as the rim was dirty, looed like seeds on the floor, hall way rug looked dirty, face cloth look like it had a rust stain
Service was good with evening front desk employee. Terrible service from the morning front desk employee. Room service was inconsistent. Room was dirty when I arrived. Keycard would expire (twice) and I had to go down and have them re-active it.
