Detailed Reviews
Service and generosity of hosts was above expectation. The fresh home baked cinnamon buns were the best I have had out of a private kitchen. Linens were rich and everything impeccably clean. We attended a wedding a convenient 2 miles away but for others this may be too out of the way. Not within walking distance of any amenities or attractions. I will go back for the next family wedding.

What a fantastic place to spend our honeymoon- I couldn't recommend a much better spot! We wanted to break up our trip to Vancouver Island without staying in Vancouver. This was about an hour from the ferry terminal and off the beaten track. The road up to the B&B was lush, windy, and scenic and the view from the mountain, impressive. There was lots of beautiful outdoor space with lovely gardens. There was also lots to do and see in the surrounding area all within a 15 minute drive. The service was friendly and hospitable and much more than we expected or have experienced at other B&B's. The breakfast was excellent. If you want a place to stay with old world comforts, southern charm, and hospitality for a reasonable price, this is a great place to come! My husband and I would highly recommend this B&B.

It was the photograph on their website (whitepillarscountryestate.com) that caught our eye and we were not disappointed. A lovely quiet country setting halfway up a mountain close to the Canada-US border. Our suite was at the back of the house/ mansion. While the bathroom was small it was clean and well stocked. The suite's living room was spacious and the fridge stocked with water ( including Pellegrino) and other little goodies that appeared when we arrived back after our daily excursions. Both the living room and very comfortable bedroom overlooked the back garden and the mountain. The breakfasts were varied and substantial and included waffles, omelettes and eggs Benedict. Val and Irv were great hosts and knowledgable about the area. Well worth the trip.

Staying at White Pillars Country Estate is like stepping into the past. Grace and charm abound here. My husband and I spent our honeymoon at White Pillars and couldn't be happier with the country surroundings and the amazing and gracious couple Valerie and Irv who own it. The suite was immaculate, and Val is a superb hostess and cook. We never went without fresh fruit, fresh bread or some other delectable homemade goodie tucked away for us. So much thought went into every detail for us, it was an incredible experience. Irv and Val are extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area for hiking, bike riding, golf, or just wandering through the village pottery stores and craft marts.
I highly recommend White Pillars Country Estate B&B.
