Good for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
We stayed in the hotel for two nights a# part of our cruise tour package. There are multiple buildings with rooms and we were on the second floor of the building across Third street from the lobby building. We enjoyed the second floor view, the ceiling fan, and the stand alone cooling unit (to generate white noise. The bed was comfortable. The. Bathroom was well stocked and water pressure was good. We took advantage of the hotels laundry facilities to freshen up the suitcases mid trip. We had packed our own laundry detergent anticipating a laundry opportunity. You can get loonies at the front desk for the washer and dryer. A little tip - the laundry in the main building opens earl morning and costs $3 for each wash or dryer load. The washer/dryer in our building did not open until 8 AM, but the cost was $2 per each load. There is no elevator for second floor access. If stairs are an issue, be sure to tell your tour guide so they can put you in a first floor room. My one complaint: why only one suitcase holder in the room? You know that there will be two suitcases that need to be staged. It is not the Ritz but it is nice, clean and serves your needs. It has a good classic hotel feel. Thanks for a nice stay.

We stayed here as part of our Holland American Alaska/Yukon Land and sea tour. The rooms had no wifi, the only wifi was available in the lobby of the hotel. We ended up with a large spacious room. The bed was so comfy. The room was very clean. It was on the main floor of the Gertie Wing (which was across the street). We did not spend much time here but it was in a good location.

After some of the hotels that we experienced across Alaska and Yukon this i=one was pretty good. The hotel is in two parts separated by the main road. The main accommodation block looks like a series of different, brightly coloured clapperboard buildings. In reality it's just one building serviced by long corridors that run the length of the building. The other houses the reception and Berlinda's dining room.
Wifi is only available in the main reception area and even then it's not that strong.
The rooms are large, boast a large bed, aircon, kettle iron & ironing board. There is no room safe though.

Comfortable clean and spacious room with smaller tub but deep hot bath. We enjoyed this place stayed two nights. There is not coffee or tea service on the room. Breakfast is not lncluded and pricey at $24 each. Hotel and restaurant Staff are great, very friendly. Bar server, she was not friendly at all.

Clean, good handicap room however had only a double bed so since no other rooms were available, we had to add a cot. The cot mattress felt non existent and was very uncomfortable. To book a couple into a room with only a double bed seems unreasonable in this day and age. Twins beds would have been far better, however the hotel claimed to be fully booked. Dining room was good, and staff was very pleasant.

There were a couple of minor issues previously mentioned - no wifi in rooms, location of power outlets, but they are first world problems. These were more than outweighed by the great staff, the location and the restaurant. Ate at the upstirs veranda twice, food was very good and the service excellent

The Westmark Inn was recommended to us by some members of a tour group who were staying here. The hot and cold buffet-style breakfast had everything you could wish for from a first class hotel. The hotel is owned by the Holland America Line which accounted for the quality of the food and surroundings. The evening meal was served in the first floor dining area and was equally as good as the breakfast.

This is a nice hotel in the very cool and historic Dawson City. We stayed here as part of a Holland America land tour. The reception staff was very nice and welcoming. We had a problem where our wheelchair accessible room was accidentally assigned to another couple but the problem was addressed by reception and another room was provided. They have an in house restaurant called Belinda’s which looks very casual but had very good food. Really enjoyed their Arctic char sandwich. Easy check in and check out. WiFi difficult in Dawson City but free WiFi is available in the lobby. Also appreciated that hotel had roll in shower accessible rooms with shower chairs.

Most hotels in Dawson City will run you $130 and up. They usually have a musuc festival during the summer. I use to work in the housekeeping dept .. under paid abd the only ones who tipped were the Asians. Its cheaper to buy booze at the local store than to go to the bars.

Here on a Holland America cruise tour. I understand the limitations of Dawson City (no elevator, no in-room wifi, no in-room AC) but when a lobby sign says hotel restaurant is open for dinner until 9 PM and upon arrival @8:40 were told “last order was at 8:30” with no apologies and no consideration for a guy on crutches (where a 3-block walk to the closest open restaurant is difficult), that’s just crap service. Delivery it is.

It's not my Inn! I didn't use the laundry facilities, just saw they were available. I believe they were coin operated. Don't know about getting change.
There are more places to choose from in the Dawson City area.
