What an amazing place to stay for two nights!! This modern refurbished lodge accommodation is extremely comfortable and well appointed. You get emailed a keypad entry code to the front/back door and then your individual room. The queen size bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the lines were soft and clean. Modern rainfall shower and bath, great satellite TV, a mini fridge, Keurig machine and coffee pods (and tea bags) and snacks left to enjoy! The room is cozy but very comfortable and quiet. It’s located in the heart of Dawson City which was perfect.
If you’re travelling on motorbikes as we were, this is a great place to stay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, hopefully people find it helpful and enjoy their stay as much as you did. And as for the bed… we worked long and hard and slept in many mattresses to find the right one… we’re very happy it paid off.

This is a 10-room privately owned hotel with differences that made this a unique experience on a number of levels. The rooms are very small and furnished in a modern, minimalist style with Queen bed, night tables, lamps, satellite TV and a console with mini fridge and coffee maker. There are hooks to hang a few items but no storage making the Dawson Lodge more suitable to short term accommodation. There is no view (as the rooms look out onto an alley) but the Dawson Lodge is located centrally, within walking distance of the waterfront, restaurants and shopping. What made our stay here memorable were some unique and small things: contactless self check in by key code, with no lobby or paperwork and it was smooth and effortless. Loved it! Easy connection to reliable wifi, a Keurig with compostable pods (and a separate bin for organic waste) tea bags vegan snacks and almond milk on request. The room and adjoining bathroom were scrupulously clean and the linens, towels and bath products provided were of good quality. Staff were available by text and requests were answered promptly and courteously. We came back one day to the gift of a locally made lavender pillow. Who does that in the big chain hotels? This is a thoughtfully and conscientiously run hotel with a commitment to being a green and sustainable business. Highly recommended!

Thanks for that awesome review. It made our hearts happy. We try to make up for the things we can’t control (like our location when it comes to room views) with things we can control like our cleanliness and consideration for both our guests and our environment. We hope to always live up this accolade!

There is no lobby at this hotel, everything is keyed with touchpad access, Comfortable, great location, and nice extra touches. The coffee provided was delicious, even if the Keurig was a bit finicky. We were stocked with Cliff bars and cookies, and staff was available if anything was lacking. I stayed 3 nights and would do it again.

We are in the process of replacing the Keurig Minis as they aren’t super intuitive. But we’re so happy everything else worked for you! Thanks for choosing us.

Room was VERY small, though tidy. I know it isn't, but it seems like an old sea can that has been compartmentalized. One wall was covered in corrugated tin which I guess is trendy but just made it seem more like a container to me. It felt a bit like a prison cell honestly. There are no staff on site, they email you the code to get in the door, unfortunately I had no signal so had to walk over to the visitor centre to get wifi so I could get the code which was pretty annoying after a 7 hour drive. There were dirty marks on the counter and when I tried to pick up a glass the rim was stuck to the counter too. There were some small jars with sugar or something in them but they were empty almost. It was dark with only a very small window which opened onto a gravel parking lot. I was happy to see there was a bathtub so at least I could have a nice relaxing bath, but on further inspection there were no faucets as it wasn't plumbed for a bath just for a shower! At least it was pet friendly so I could bring my dog in though he had to sleep on the floor. And it is right in the middle of town so handy for seeing everything. It was VERY expensive for what you get though.

A group of 14 of us adventured to Dawson City in February and it was absolutely amazing. The team at Dawson Lodge were incredibly attentive and accommodating even through the freezing temperatures (-45C)! They made sure we were familiar with all of the local businesses that were open during the winter season and really paid attention to the small details that made a huge difference. The restaurant recommendations were great! The lodge was a wonderful place to stay. Beds were really comfortable and we had the most peaceful sleeps. The rooms were spacious and clean and the lovely touches were appreciated (snacks and coffee and tea!). They organized an amazing Murder Mystery night for us and it was so fun! They also organized tours and excursions for us (Snowshoeing in Tombstone Park was unbelievable). I would definitely recommend Yukon Spaces and the Dawson Lodge to anyone visiting Dawson City.

I am 74 years old and came up with my partner from Whitehorse to visit my daughter. She booked us here as a treat and what a treat it was. I could not believe the comfort of these beds, it was the best sleep I have ever had in a hotel. The pillows were unbelievable that I actually looked to buy some.
The location of the hotel is right downtown of Dawson City, close and walking distance for anything that you may need.
I was worried about the electronic sign in, since I am not into my smart phone very much, but I was so surprised at how easy it all was. I received text messaged with how to get into the hotel and how to check out. Lee and Mike were very communicative and helpful. I absolutely will stay here again, as I come up often to visit my daughter.

This is such a kind review, thank you. We're glad we got things right for your stay. We know that for some people who aren't so comfortable with technology, the self check-in and lack of front desk can be a little daunting. We try to make sure we are there for you remotely if you need anything. We're also thrilled you had a good night sleep, we love our mattresses (Logan and Cove if you're interested) so much that everyone in the team has one! We can't wait to see you again next time you're in town.

I had an amazing stay at the Dawson Lodge! I slept so soundly as the bed was very comfortable and sheets were so soft. I also loved the mini Keurig in the room with real milk in the fridge for a morning coffee. They included so many little touches to make sure their customers are comfortable! Thanks for the wonderful stay, I will definitely be returning in the future!

Cozy, comfortable, great service. Vegan products and a compost bin in the room was very refreshing to see! The check-in process is very convenient. Staff were quick to get back to me when I had a question about the room and they were very helpful.

We always try to be available for quick responses, sometimes we’re not as quick as we’d like, but that’s because we’re out hiking the trails we tell all our guests about! It’s important to us that we promote the values we care about, so having things like compost and supplying only vegan products are ways in which we can show this. We’re so pleased you appreciated this.

What an incredible little hotel! Keyless entry is the way to go! Mike and Lee are both so accommodating and incredibly charming alongside their dog, Jake. The room was very pleasant, very new and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. Jumping Bean coffee was provided which was a delightful surprise as Jumping Bean is my favourite coffee roaster in Canada (it comes from Newfoundland). Vegan cookies and milk were also provided so it truly felt like a mini bed and breakfast! 10/10 would stay here again!

We're so pleased you had an enjoyable stay. Jake always enjoys meeting new people, especially when they feed him! We worked long and hard to find the prefect fit for our coffee provider, we're glad you enjoyed it. We definitely have a slightly different accommodation concept so we really glad it worked for you.

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. Mike and Lee are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice.

All the food, all the entertainment venues are right there! The bed is the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced and I would straight up sell my soul for the coffee they provide.

Despite sending me all the required information via text I locked myself out because I’m an idiot and they had me back in there within two minutes without making fun of me!

What a gem

6 stars... wow, thank you so much for your praise. We know we can't be there to meet every guest and spend time with them (no front desk and we all have a bunch of other jobs) but we try to make sure we're available. Especially when guests do the things that make them feel like idiots... rest assured we've done those things too and we hope we've made things easier than some of our own experiences as hotel guests in the past. A comfy bed and great coffee were two really important things for us when we were designing this place, I'm pleased you appreciated them as much as we do (we have the same bed at home and we drink the same coffee - we stand by our choices).
