A gracious host, absolutely clean, character home. Interesting artifacts. A full healthy breakfast, a quiet atmosphere. Freedom to come and go easily. In a quiet neighbourhood. An unobtrusive cat greets you and, like Jacquie, then leaves you to your own devices.
It has been a long time since I stayed at a B&B and by chance I booked a one night stay at Jacquie's. The hospitality was genuine and relaxing. Jacquie made me feel right at home and checked in right away. She recommended a great pasta place to have dinner and then I was left to myself to enjoy her home. The room was comfortable and quiet. I had a great sleep and in the morning I joined Jacquie and another guest for a great breakfast and interesting conversation. I highly recommend Jacquie's Gordon and her B&B - Bryan Preston
Jacquie was very nice was a wonderful host. Both the house and the room were great as well. I do recommend to any traveler looking for a place to stay. My time at Jacquie Gordon's was both warm heated and warm hearted.
My husband and I were recently in Duncan visiting family. We stayed at Jacquie Gordon’s B and B and found it to be the perfect fit for us. With the usual mayhem and chaos that goes on with young grand children, it was lovely to escape each evening to the peaceful ambience of Jacquie’s home. Our morning repast was beautifully presented and absolutely sumptuous! We loved our morning chats Jacquie, and felt fortunate to get to know her a little bit. The Vista room was very large and provided comfortable accommodation. It would even be suitable for a family of four as there were two single beds as well as the queen bed. The washroom facility was downstairs, but really didn’t inconvenience us at all. All the amenities one could wish for were provided. We would definitely visit Jacquie Gordon’s B&B again on our next sojourn to Duncan!…
Jacquie is a wonderful hostess, who always provided something extra, from acting as a taxi when we couldn't get one, to serving breakfast with our son who came to visit for Father's Day. The property has beautiful gardens, is quiet, and our room spacious and immaculate. Her breakfasts were fantastic, varied, healthy and very tasty. Jacquie was helpful recommending restaurants and places to see. She has a wonderful old school demeanor, kind, warm, helpful when asked, but quiet and behind the scenes the rest of the time. My wife and I felt very spoiled.
We spent 5 days at Jacquie’s B&B while cycling in the Duncan & Cowichan area. Jacquie is a gracious, welcoming hostess and carefully follows all the COVID-19 recommendations. Every breakfast was delicious and different from the previous morning. Jacquie is very knowledgeable about the area and gave great information about local hikes, places to eat, local specialty foods, venues etc. Our cycling trip was enhanced by our stay at Jacquie’s B&B. Two thumbs up!
I´ve stayed at Jaquie´s twice and I´ll certainly will do it again. Besides a beautiful and peaceful home, and big room with comfortable beds, Jaquie is so kind and warm she made me feel really pampered.
Jacquie's B&B was exactly what I wanted while attending a weekend course. It was spacious, immaculate, quiet, lovely with yummy breakfasts in front of a fire in the fireplace in the living room. It gave me the environment to process the work I was doing at the course and to settle in and do my homework in the evenings with a tea in hand. She is a gracious hostess. We had our little chats.
Jacquie is truly a amazing hostess and cook! I'm a Celiac and require special attention to the food I eat and how t is prepared. She put together two of the most delicious gourmet breakfasts I have ever enjoyed. Her plating was appealing, gratifying and so satisfying. Her home is welcoming and comfortable as I was recovering an injury, I especially found the veranda inviting and peaceful during the the afternoon sunshine. Her garden is beautiful and teeming with quail, chickadees and squirrels even saw a flicker flitting about the tress gather insects.
DELIGHTFUL! If you like a comfortable bed (Heritage Room), hearing and viewing birds outside your window, having an afternoon tea with The Hostess with the Mostest, basking in the Fall morning sun on a lovely veranda, and having an elegant breakfast served to you in a formal (yet homey) dining room...be sure to stay here! We will return, Jacqui.
