With 'resort fees' and taxes, this place comes in at north of $300 a night. For that kind of money, I was expecting a nice room. What I got was a tiny room with tinier beds, a minuscule bathroom with a cracked sink and horrible, shiny 1960s-style toilet paper. The resort is clearly understaffed. The hot springs are nice, but didn't make my list of the top 5 in BC. The main restaurant, the Copper Room, is eye-wateringly expensive. The bar food is not that good but it does have a great cocktails list. Can I find nice things to say? The grounds are really nice, and I they have L2 EV chargers (not free)

Unfortunately this accommodation was a huge letdown. Our double queen room in the West Tower had incredibly uncomfortable beds, the wallpaper and wall tile in the bathroom were lifting, and there was mildew along the side of the bathtub. Overall, very outdated and overpriced. We ended up checking out early after one night’s stay. Although the hot springs are enjoyable, it’s not worth the price of accommodation.

We really enjoyed our stay in King Room with lake view. The room was very comfortable and the view from the balcony outstanding. Check in wait time was acceptable however we did have to wait about 20 mins while cleaning staff finished up in our room— perfect amount of time to orient ourselves to the hot spring pools and plan our soak.

There are several aspects of our experience at this "resort" that left much to be desired, especially considering the premium prices charged. Firstly, expediting the check-in process would greatly enhance the guest experience. The 45-minute wait in line was not only inconvenient but also frustrating, with some guests even remarking that they anticipated breakfast time before being able to check in. Offering faster or early check-in options, even at an additional cost, would be a welcomed improvement. Upon entering our room, it was immediately apparent that certain maintenance and cleanliness standards were lacking. A noticeable burn mark on the carpet of a designated non-smoking room, outdated furnishings, a malfunctioning toilet paper holder, and dirty curtains detracted from the overall ambiance. Additionally, the absence of basic amenities such as a duvet on the bed and robes in the room was disappointing. It felt as though the room had been overlooked in terms of housekeeping and attention to detail. Addressing these issues would undoubtedly elevate the guest experience and align more closely with the expectations associated with a resort of this caliber. This getaway was meant to be a special birthday treat. My husband and I excitedly booked the bed and breakfast package to fully indulge in the resort experience. However, in the morning, we discovered that the package we thought we had selected wasn't included. Despite our efforts to clarify, we were informed that we had merely booked a standard room and weren't given any option to upgrade. Upon check-out, I raised the issue with the staff regarding the apparent oversight in our booking and also inquired about the amenities everyone else seemed to be receiving. Regrettably, the response was a simple apology, leaving us feeling dissatisfied, especially considering the hefty price tag attached to our room. It was disheartening to find that the resort seemed to lack proper maintenance despite the high fees charged. Our hopes for a tranquil evening by the "quiet zone" pool was disrupted by the rowdy behaviour of other guests with their loud antics, causing us to leave. While Harrison itself offered some delightful experiences at other establishments, and the view from the room was nice, our overall stay fell short of expectations. Regrettably, we will not be returning to this resort in the future or recommending it to anyone.

1. Long waiting time at front desk. 2. Late check out was not provided as I was told it is the rule but room was not ready until 5:45pm even I did the online pre-checkin few hours before arrival. 3. The pool would be the selling point only if you can tolerate kids/ youth were playing ball game nearby you in the pool. Otherwise there is no point to spend a lot to stay here. 4. Food and beverages are good. 5. Not really recommended.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 25 times over 25 years. The East Tower (the newer building) is great with few exceptions e.g. getting people to stop smoking on their balconies, while the West wing (facing the pools and lake) is really in need of a massive renovation. Charging 480.00 the Easter weekend (per night) for a 1980s highway motel equivalent room (room 161) is unacceptable. The tub in our room had rust all over the bootom. There were tons of spots all over the carpet. It had a 1 to 1.5 inch crack beneath the door (into the hallway). Noisy hallways - it sounded like a daycare centre and tour bus were outside our room in the hallway much of the time. Chipped paint all over e.g. baseboards. There are an army of staff who do their best, and they are efficient, but that hotel needs a MAJOR renovation. It is long overdue. This hotel's reputation is resting on three things - location, the pools, the history. For 480 bucks (including the annoying 25 dollar resort fee) those three things only go so far. Yes, the pools are still beautiful, the location is great, and the lobby and fireplace area are nice - but you don't sleep in those areas. They also REALLY need a better check in procedure for peak times during tourist seasons / weekends - waiting 30 to 45 minutes (literally) (or more) to check in is not acceptable. Hire more staff or get an online check in the actually works. The online check in has not worked for years (or ever). The check in time for peak periods e.g. 3 to 4 pm, has been a problem for at least 12 years now. The lobby area actually needs to be expanded significantly as it is way too small. Things we liked - besides the pools - were: the beds were very comfortable. Multiple pillows to choose from. The water pressure was excellent if you could get the tap to work. No intermittent changes to temperature during showers. Efficient staff. Ample parking (do not leave valuables in the vehicle) if you are not there at peak times. Good restaurants nearby e.g. Morgans, Corner Cafe, etc. Hotel staff are really accommodating when not understaffed or harried - except for asking for bathrobes - and nothing in this review is against them - they are simply not being supported by the owner. The cafe in the lobby is great for a quick java - they have some bakegoods but it is pretty limited.

Stood in line for 2hrs just to check in, I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere! Rooms were not even ready. Dirty linen stacked in hallways. Never received robes we requested. Parking was impossible. It may have been a busy long weekend but shouldn’t management foreseen this? Pool area has tile falling down. This facility requires major updates, they still use toilets with huge tanks, not water conservation friendly at all. If they’re not going to get this place up to today’s standards then lower your prices!!

The hotel puts a lot of money into their lobby and the hot springs, but the rooms are stinky and old. Ive been here at least five times because I love the hot springs, but the rooms remove the beauty of the experience. The rugs are visibly old, faded and dirty, the furniture is very outdated. If I am going to pay $300 a night to stay, I want to feel comfortable in my room. Pack slippers so you don't have to touch the rug!

There is no such thing as a quiet table in the Copper Room for an intimate, fine dining experience due to the raucous live band. We had to yell across the table to be heard. The band is very good, but the volume does not belong in a high-end, expensive restaurant. I was served a cooked red bell pepper as a "seasonal vegetable" along with wonderful sauteed spinach. The rack of lamb was done to perfection, but the pork "medallions" were really slices of pork tenderloin. The escargot were tiny, mushy snail wannabes. The service was impeccable, and the wine master was excellent. Management needs to get a clue.

I recently stayed at the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and had an incredible experience. The pools were fantastic, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The food at the Copper Room was absolutely delicious, offering a delightful culinary journey. They also had live music with a band playing great cover songs. The service throughout my stay was exceptional, with every staff member going above and beyond to ensure a memorable visit. Eric and Michelle in the Sales Department went above and beyond to ensure a lovely visit. I highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a perfect getaway.
