We payed premium price for our family week at Harrison to spend the time on the patio looking at the lake as I am disabled and have a hard time getting around. This was not the condition of patio we saw in the advertisement. They could have done more cleaning after the construction as well as cleaned the glass and walls. The floor inside looked like it had not been cleaned in a month. You want premium price the unit should be 5 star!

The motel from the exterior looked like nothing special, but upon entering the room I was pleasantly surprised as the room I booked looked really modern. We Stayed for 2 nights. Room was really clean, bathroom was nice and clean and looked fairly modern as well, the ac was cold (32 degree + outside) , and the staff ( Frank ) was just a pleasure to deal with and really made our mini getaway at Harrison Spa Motel an enjoyable experience. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient. And we got complimentary free parking with in and out privileges as we had booked directly on their own website. The 5% discount was awesome as well. The location couldn’t be beat, which made lake time and restaurant hopping a breeze, we’re literally across from the lake! Again I want to thank you FRANK! You really made our long weekend in Harrison hot spring a memorable one. The kayak rental was so much fun (motel offers kayak rentals). I look forward to coming back and staying here again. Hope to see you again Frank and thanks for locking up our bikes for us as well, you really made us felt at home while staying at the motel. Oh btw, they are a pet friendly motel so it was really nice not having to leave our dear pooch at grandmas while we went on this mini getaway.

Room was on the second floor you could see the lake from the outside balcony / entrance. Great bedding configuration for us as we were traveling with our kids and having a bunk bed is a hug bonus, mattresses looked fairly new and comfortably pillows in great condition. The room was equipped with a small fridge, Microwave and coffee pot we used the Keurig .. in the morning with the coffee and cups provided . bathroom was small but nice and clean well hung white towels which was clean with out stains. The room also had AC we just opened the window , upon arrival they did have the room cooled down and welcoming. staff were kind and polite . I would stay again. The room is a small Motel do not read this book by its cover.. the parking is tight but we made it .. you can tell the owners have put in the effort and are proud owners.

The Harrison Spa Motel is an older motel located at the centre of Harrison's Lakefront and tourist area. It is an interesting area with several well presented businesses and excellent restaurants. The lake and a beautiful park are just across the one-way, pedestrian friendly, sidewalk and street from the motel and the neighbourhood was vibrant, even in mid October. We loved hearing all of the different languages being spoken by other tourists.
Our second story room had a full view of all of the above and we enjoyed the sights and sounds from a large, private balcony. The room was spacious, clean, well maintained, had fairly new appliances (including a full size refrigerator) and two very comfy queen beds. Along with all that, the whole facility has a funky-retro vibe that we quite enjoy. The parking area is well monitored and convenient.
While checking in we asked about adding a second night to our stay because Harrison was so interesting and historic and we wanted to explore the area. David was quick to offer the second night, complete with an upgrade and he was generous in how he applied the room charges between what we had reserved and what he was able to offer us. We were totally pleased with the room we got and felt that the price was more than reasonable.
Highlights of our exploration include a visit to the Kilby Museum, a walk around the beaver pond at Hicks Lake and a stroll along the shore of Deer Lake. The drive to those locations is absolutely beautiful and includes a good sampling of the amazing area. Also, just sitting in the park, above the beach, looking out at Harrison Lake was a beautiful and peaceful experience.

I had a great stay at the Harrison Spa Motel on October 7/24. The staff was very friendly and helpful and pets were allowed so I could bring my dog. The motel is in a great location really close to the beach and very reasonably priced. I recommend it!

The 1 bedroom with kitchen was spacious and clean. The motel's location by the lake and a 5 minute walk to the public mineral pool was very convenient. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It was also great to be able to bring my small dog to this pet-friendly motel. Parking was easy and we really appreciated the little green space with picnic tables, umbrellas and bbq. The food at the Basecamp restaurant was excellent and the 15% discount was a bonus.

I don't know how and why so many people are giving this motel such good reviews because it isn't what you would expect from the reviews.

First we tried to check in about 4:30 p.m. There was no one at the desk. We had to ring the bell 3 times in the space of over 10 min to get the manager to show up. He apologized and was very friendly but rattled off a bunch of instructions so fast that we only understood about half of them.

We got two rooms next to each other on the top floor with a slight view of the lake. Probably was best part of our stay. Our room had a queen and a kitchen and our sons had two queens with a fridge.

Our room had a dirty floor which hadn't been swept. Our son's room had a USB panel, but ours didn't. We had to ask the front desk for one along with a water kettle. You would think having a kitchen, you would have a water kettle. Also no toaster, but luckily we brought one.

Little squeeze packets of shampoo provided but no lotion. Shower heads were very good but no ceiling fan. Beds were a little hard. There were cigarette burn stains on the bedroom curtain in our room when the rooms were suppose to be non smoking. There was a large dresser along one side of the bed in our room. It was almost useless to use and made walking between bed and dresser difficult.

There are no phones in the rooms so the only way to contact the front desk is by using your own phone or walking over to the office. The locks on the doors are old fashioned using keys instead of cards. Poor security because the chain bolts were broken. The cable on the televisions had a few problems with freezing and black screens but it wouldn't last long.

Our next trip to Harrison Hot Springs will not include a visit to this motel.

It doesn't look great from outside but the room was clean, we had parking right out front of our room and it was a very short walk to the beach. The rooms are non smoking, which is great, but they do provide designated smoking areas which we appreciated. The service was friendly and the staff we encountered were very courteous.

Great location ... can walk to everything. And the views!!! Harrison Spa Motel sits 100 feet from the lake.

While surrounded by big hotels and a new condo development, it met all of our needs: Clean, quiet ((:00P to 9:00a), lots of hot water and our reservation included parking which was important as the town was very busy during our stay

We had a room with a kitchenette with a full fridge and stove. Made for a very cost effective visit .

not here, but you can go to the public hot springs for a fee. The only hotel with hot springs is Harrison hot springs resort & spa. Get ready to pay $$$$$
