My Fiance and me stayed here at the end of September. After a 8 hour car journey while I was 3 months pregnant we arrived and found a dead bug and blood on one of the pillows in our room. We were so tired that we didnt even realise what it was and just went to sleep. The next morning we confronted the reception about the bug and blood on pillow and received $10 back. Once we arrived home my Fiance had 12 bed bug bites and a massive infection. We got in contact with booking. com as well as the hotel and nobody took responsibility for this, apologized for our convencience or anything. We had to get all our clothes fumigated etc. After endless phone calls with the hotel we were promised a cheque with a refund for our stay and not even any compensation. 2 months later we're still waiting for this cheque to arrive.I would never ever stay here again as the service was terrible and nobody seems to care what happened to us. They got lucky I had no bites as being 3 months pregnant this could have had terrible implication for the health of my baby.

We originally called to book the Howard Johnson next door, the agent said no need to book over the phone, they had lots of rooms available, just come down. So we did, went into the Howard Johnson and rang the bell. An employee appeared and said that the "Howard Johnson was full, but the motel next door was the same owners, same same..." Not the same. The room was old and tired, beds were horrible to sleep on, sheets were barely clean. It was late, we were tired, made the best of it. Of course weren't offered breakfast (as included with the Howard Johnson room), there were people sitting down the hallway by our room all night and into the morning, very strange. Unfortunately, we forgot our tempurpedic pillow in the room when we left. We didn't realize until we got to our next spot that we had left it. When I called that night, there was no one at the desk, so I had to call back in the morning. At which point, I was told that the manager would look into it and get back to me. I left my name and phone number, no return phone call. I called back the following day, same story. I was annoyed enough by this to call a third time. Still, the same thing. To this day, no return phone call. Normally I wouldn't care, but a $100 pillow is worth the effort.

Me and my wife came to visit Kamloops as a last minute compromise as our budget wouldn't allow Kelowna and we must say we were very happy during our two nights three days in the city. It ended up being a very relaxing stay but in regards to the hotel I have to give credit for the great price, the cleanliness and the comfort. Negatives being the service at the front desk due to the employees at the motel being shared with the Howard Johnson inn next door, the breakfast room was pathetic to be honest we only visited it once and ended up only taking the juice from there. All in all though as long as one is looking for a cheap no frills way to stay in Kamloops I would recommend the motel without reservations.

This hotel is obviously an older run down hotel however it could still get good ratings if they had any clue how to run a motel. We needed towels and they said they didn't have any, shortly after that housekeeping came around and gathered all the towels and said they would return them as soon as they were cleaned This is an old school type of motel where they have actual keys for the doors and not the magnetic strip type you find in most hotels. They only provided one key which proved to be a problem when sharing with two other people and not joined at the hip. Last and final reason I will never go back is that my son (20 years old) fell and split his head open on the sidewalk and shortly there after vomited, we had to call the ambulance. He said to me that we needed to get him out of here as he had missed two potential clients because of the commotion. No compassion Will never go back!!

This motel was simply a place to sleep, but was lacking in many areas. No one was ever at the front desk. The four times we required assistance, we needed to ring the bell multiple times and wait for someone to come. The phone in the room did not work, and although they replaced it, it meant that we had to go and ring the bell and wait in the office, which took time away from our vacation activities. The towels were small and thin, and there were only two bath towels for the whole suite. There were no hand towels, face cloths, or tea towels for the kitchen. With the multitude of other options nearby, we would definitely pay a little more and stay elsewhere.

Not as advertised. No breakfast. No one available to provide wifi password until the next day, TV broken, air conditioner broken, fridge seal broken so door did not close. Very hot in the room. When I went to the desk to inquire about getting towels and toilet paper (none provided) no one was there, no one answered my repeated ringing of the bell. Desk was to open at 7:30, by 8:30 no one had arrived, nor was there any of the promised breakfast that was supposedly included in the price. I had booked through Booking.com and had a confirmation number but apparently the hotel cancelled that reservation so I was then unable to register my review on the Booking.com site. Questionable business practices. I do not trust the posted reviews. And I say this as a very experienced traveller. This is honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in Canada.

Broken air conditioner, so loud it was impossible to sleep. And it's HOT here. Broken TV. Dirty furniture. No towels. No toilet paper. No "free breakfast" as advertised on Booking.com No one at the front desk to get wifi password from. Yes, it was cheap. But this place was yuck.

I'm particularly fond of these little motels, they tend to reek of character. This one did not disappoint. the room was clean, the beds were comfy and there was a fridge and microwave. it was a little bit of a wait getting attention at the front desk but it looked like they were working both properties so understandably they were busy. the staff wasn't overly friendly but they were helpful and courteous and they were even available (and not too grumpy) at 3am when we locked ourselves out of our room. there's no breakfast but for what we paid i wouldn't have expected much anyway. there's a denny's right around the corner and that was perfectly okay with us.

We have stayed at the fountain before as they are centrally located and cheap! We stayed 4 nights this trip. Parking is tight! Great location to hospital. Our room was clean although rooms are not cleaned or made up daily. You need to ask for but to be made up or for clean towels. Some of the clientele look like they live there and look on the sketchy side but we were not bothered. We will likely stay again as the rate is cheap enough to look past some of the very minor flaws. It is hard to get someone at front desk most times. I do find it is cheaper to book over the phone than online through any hooking agents.

WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT STAY HERE..The place smells is dirty and they tried to con us, originally we were booked in next door at the Howard Johnson but on arrival the young chap told us that our room had a flood and he booked us into the dreaded Fountain next door, also he wanted our credit card as he said the agent we had booked with his credit card ran out in May I pointed out it was still May and no way was I going to give my details as I had pre paid my accommodation. And after looking at the rooms I wouldn't pay 74p let alone 74 cad per person. He informed us that the weekend was extremely busy as there were sports competitions and all hotels would be full, my reply was I would rather my wife and I slept in the car than in these rooms. We left and got booked into the Ramada up the road ( the only truth he told was that the weekend was busy due to sports playoffs). I would recommend the Ramada very clean and comfortable. I cannot give this fountain a rating at all it doesn't deserve it.. .
