When I booked the hotel my first question was are there a lot of stairs I was told there was no stairs but there were stairs going to the upstairs and stairs going down to the pool. In the ad it said came with breakfast but nothing was provided, not even a bag breakfast like other places. I was told on the phone we could check in at 2 but when we arrived we had to wait till 3. We were to book the pool so we booked it for 630 but when we went to go for our swim she had let others go even tho we booked it, and we had to wait till 8. We were only given 3 towels for 2 people for swimming, hottub use and showers. There was only 1 coffee in the morning. The bathroom walls were filthy with finger marks streaks going down the walls. Our summer trip this year gave us the opportunity to stop here on our way east and back. The corona virus has not affected anything about this motel. On the way out we were able to stay on the river side, love the view and the quiet, but on the way back we were off the parking lot. Check-in and out was done with friendliness and professionalism. Housekeeping staff was very accommodating. We couldn't even fault the price. The downer was that they have not yet been able to continue their continental breakfast. Maybe next time. However, we were treated to an awesome thunder storm! Love them. Nice of Karam to arrange that. :) Karam and Humayra do the motel proud. If you're heading that way, and need a place to stay, you can't beat the Riverland Inn & Suites.
Roads were iffy so I decided to stay over in Kamloops on my way back to Alberta from YVR. Picked this Inn based on comments and glad I did! Price was incredible! Bed was comfy, water pressure good, lots of room in my single queen room (myself and two school aged kids) Best was the ability to use the pool, we 'reserved' so just our family. A rarity when my kids haven't been able to be in a pool for months!! Temperature was good in the swim pool, and the hot tub was HOT!! It was heaven, and we had so much fun playing. Thank you for keeping it open!! We had a river view, and I wish it was nicer so we could have appreciated the view and the patio areas! It was quite pretty in the snow. We walked along the road and trails along the river to the west to stretch our legs - after a block there is a nice wide pedestrian trail that is lit at night. It would take 15-20 minutes to walk to amenities, so plan for that. Would certainly come back to Riverland when we're travelling through again. Also super friendly and helpful staff.…
A nice Inn along the banks of the South Thompson River. It’s conveniently located near the highway, and it’s about a 20-minute walk downtown along the River’s Trail, a beautiful, wide pedestrian path. great value for the money
We had a family gathering for a funeral. This older style motel is right on the river, with a lovely green space and outdoor patio which was fantastic to visit while social distancing. Also had two BBQs and seating area so we had a lovely dinner and evening visiting. Also swam in their indoor pool and hot tub. The rooms are older but very clean. Staff amazing, and very friendly and helpful.
