Scotts provides a very clean which includes all the usual items in a room to rest, stay connected, have coffee, etc. The value for the price is extremely good and they have been running a reliable business for many years. I was there at the beginning of social distancing so missed out on breakfast in the restaurant, and could not use the pool or hot tub. I have however eaten at the restaurant many times over the years and they serve good hearty meals.

I had the eggs Benedict. They come with a delicious maple ham. The homemade Hollandaise sauce was on point, the potatoes perfectly cooked, the eggs perfect soft poached as I ordered. My boyfriend had the hungry man breakfast with 3 eggs, bacon, maple ham, sausages and hash browns and he loved it.Great portion sizes for a fair price. Owner Atish took time to chat with every customer and seems like a great guy to work with/for. The waitresses are with the place for a while, which is a good sign of a great work place. It reflects in their outstanding service. Definately the best breakfast in town. We will come back!

This hotel was rated highly and I really wanted to enjoy it… but it doesn’t live up to its other ratings.

Wifi was constantly offline. I usually hate when people complain about this, but it’s important when you are trying to look up local activities and restaurants etc.

Hot tub was advertised on the booking site but it was not available. Same with Continental breakfast that did not exist.

Restaurant closed an hour earlier than advertised and Parking was very limited.

Also, while the affordability of this hotel is great for us budget travellers, it also seemed to attract some questionable guests. The suite above us was extremely loud all night.

Horrible place and restaurant, advertised as breakfast included and confirmed on check in but when it was time to have breakfast the morning after it suddenly was not included anymore: false advertising !! Owner did blame booking.com but never warned us before. When requesting for the free breakfast as advertised, best the owner could do was offer us 20% off. No need to say we were not happy about this. Also we had dinner in the restaurant and everything was too salty, bottom line: do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

The staff were beyond courteous, the room was spotless and the water was hot. How good does it get. Job well done. Thank you. I think I said it all so far but this site requires two hundred characters to qualify so now I can post.

I booked a 2-night stay with Scott's Inn mainly for their hottub and pool facilities. Due to pandemic measures the hottub was not cleared for guest use. Despite my disappointment, this was understandable and an oversight on my part for not calling to confirm if those facilities would indeed be accessible in the current climate. I decided to cut the stay short by leaving a day early and the manager, Mike, was completely understanding and accommodating. He went above and beyond and was a pleasure to talk with. I can't recommend Scott's Inn enough for the warmth and quality of service.

Additionally, the on-site restaurant is great, offering classic comfort foods as well as vegan options too - rare in the city of Kamloops. Cleanliness, I should add, is also clearly held to a high standard here as well. Thumbs up to Scott's Inn!

We went to Scott's restaurant for dinner May 10th at 5pm. There were 5 other tables seated and only one waitress! There were 5 of us in our party and she said she would be with us in a minute but I could see she was already working overtime. We sat ourselves and waited. Lisa was serving all the tables in a delayed but timely manner, all orders were correct and getting to the tables with the food hot. Lisa kept apologizing but we could all see she was doing a great job at getting to everyone and keeping things running well. After another 30 minutes, the restaurant was full of patrons and she kept on going strong. We got our drinks and the menus in about 10 minutes from sitting down and we had plenty of time to peruse the menu to make out choices. We also realized there was only one cook in the back so only 2 people were running the entire restaurant and doing an amazing job of keeping everything moving smoothly and all the patrons were happy (or at least aware of the situation and not complaining). When our food arrived it was hot and well prepared. We all enjoyed our dishes. As the end of our meal I noticed the cook had even found time to come out and help clear the tables - a great team for a very relaxing family dinner. Thank you for your outstanding service Lisa and "the cook".

The first room that we were assigned, on the second floor, was nice and appealing. However, it turned out this room was not pet-friendly and we had to move to the room on the second floor. It stunk like dog piss. We said that no way we are staying in that room, to which the manager responded "but it's a pet-friendly room"... Like sure, so are we paying $15 extra per night (the pet fee) to enjoy the smell? Now, that is a customer service.
After I started to call the Booking.com support, they agreed to change the room for us. We were assigned a room in the building across the road. The only good thing about that room - it did not stink. Everything else was just awful: broken toilet flush, stained carpet and bed linen... And we still paid "pet fee" for that nightmare, even though our dog does not shed, has good manners and was way cleaner than the room.
We were too tired to argue this time, but I can say for sure, this was our worst room in Canada so far.

I stay at Scott's when I have medical appointments and they always make me feel welcome. This past weekend my family came to Kamloops so we could attend a very special concert together. I stayed at Scott's and they stayed at another motel close by. When they saw my room they said that next time they came to Kamloops they would stay at Scott's because the rooms are so clean. Also the restaurant serves excellent food.

Apologies, we do not. However our Standard Queen rooms have a outdoor corridor so he would just have to step out the door closing it behind him.
