Room was so bad, and service so poor, we couldn't stay. 1) sofa bed mattress dirty - signs of past bedbugs. 2) despite registering for 3 - no 3rd set of towels, and sofabed not made up, no sheets, no pillows 3) rooms view was of disgusting pool - stagnant water, filled with garbage etc. (Reading past reviews - pool has been like this for over a year) 4) air-conditioner could not be adjusted. We complained to front desk and gave them time to deal with issues. The desk clerk appeared to be the only staff - noone else around. He said he was our washing towels. What kind of hotel doesn't have extra linen ready to go? What kind of hotel doesn't at least cover an unused pool? Even the Kamloops tourism posters in the elevator were worn and dirty. We took our beds and just continued to drive. Don't stay here. The hotel is quite worn looking, but if everything else had been ok, we would have stayed.

Booked for one night on our way back to Vancouver Island. August 7. We tend to always book here as we like the Moon Wok restaurant that is attached to the inn. The room we booked was a Queen bed with couch hide a bed, and it cost about $200 CAD with all fees and taxes included through Priceline. Room seemed clean enough but the place is starting to look a little rough around the edges. Our tub drips constantly, you have to close the bathroom door or the sound drives you insane. The worst thing is the view out the window of the pool…disgusting does not even come close. I made the mistake of checking out the view before going to dinner, big mistake. I really regret not checking Tripadvisor in advance or I would have known about the problem. Don’t bother bringing any issues to the front desk, the answer is always “Thank you, I’ll let the manager know”. If you are going to stay here, make sure you don’t get a pool view. Myself, I’m going to try the Days or the Quality inn instead.

We stayed at the Pacific Inn & Suites for one night, booking four days in advance via Expedia and paying $158 (including taxes) for the “Honeymoon Room”. This was a one night stop during a road trip. This property met our needs, but wasn’t anything special. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was large, although the view of the pool was similar to the pool photos from the recent reviews (and if you ignored the pool, you were looking at a retaining wall). The bed was large and very comfortable. There was a large flat-screen TV with many channels to choose from. The “free breakfast” was a bit weak. We had the choice among limited table fruit (apples and bananas), yoghurt cups, and a 50g blueberry muffin in the plastic wrap that looks like what you might get at a 7-11. The room was clean and fine. It met our needs, but was no more than a very solid “average”. A note about my ratings. I award 5 stars to accommodation that are in the top 2 or 3% in terms of price and quality. I award 1 star to those that are in the bottom 2-3% or so. That means that the remaining 95% of accommodation are competing for a 2, 3 or 4 rating.

For $89 a night I feel like I shouldn't complain too much, but it's safe to say we definitely won't be rushing back. I understand with the current pandemic that things are very different, but at least advertise that your pool is not open for use. AND at least have the decency to put a cover on it... for the sake of cleaniness and for your guests who's window looks directly down at the very dirty pool.....

First off, the bathroom door was closed with the light on. One of the towels had been used (it was damp). There were drops on the toilet seat. I found someone's leftover pizza in the mini fridge. There was some kind of particulate all over the floor. Nothing looked as if it had even been wiped down. Do not stay here if you don't want covid.
