Detailed Reviews
My husband and I stayed here for one night at the end of September 2022. It was actually the fourth hotel that we went to but other locations were either booked up or too expensive.
The front desk staff who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She was very clear in telling us the price and they were fine with us having our dog in the room for the typical $20 fee.
The room was quite large. Two queen size beds. They were clean and tidy. Lots of pillows. Very comfortable. We were able to see the car from the room. Very spacious bathroom that was in good shape with a great showerhead. Shampoo, lotion, etc. provided.
The decor of the room was a little bit dated. And a picture had been taken off the wall and as a result some wallpaper had been ripped. There were a few stains ( food, I think) on the walls. But due to the fair price of the room we were willing to overlook them.
The room was very quiet. We have no idea if there were neighbours on either side of us. We were able to hear the upstairs people walking around. But it was not annoying. And didn’t affect our sleep at all.
The continental breakfast was pretty good. It consisted of a couple different types of cold cereal, chocolate chip muffins, several types of yogurt, toast, bananas, apples and several fruit juices. Like a previous poster said they do have a tub of butter rather than individual pats of butter. We chose not to partake.
There are several stores and restaurants nearby that are very easy to walk to.
We would stay here again.

Very old hotel. The room was clean, but the carpet and bathroom have some stains due to their age. The room was silent. We only slept one night and everything was fine. It is far from the city center, in an area full of hotels. It is possible to go to some restaurants in the hotels themselves on foot, but for most activities you need a car.

A few good points, lots not too good
Pros
1. Cheap , ok for an overnight stay only
2. Wifi included
3. Large room ( executive king). Comfy bed.
4. Double sofa lounge but no light, no lamp on this section. Very dark.
Cons
1. Pool… in a heat wave our room overlooked a filing , drained pool. Told it was bei g renovated but looking at reviews this has been a major complaint for years. No information on booking it was not usable .
2. Hygiene at breakfast . Large containers of marjorine everyone had to dip into put me right off my toast .
3. Arrived a couple hours early and far enough we could not check in, but we were told they would ring us. No call received so we waited and waited
4. Unfriendly welcome , a minor thing yes, but has never happen at any Canadian hotel

This is our new go to when traveling to Vancouver Island. It's lacking some of the other amenities of more expensive hotels but the price is right and the rooms are always super clean pillows are soft and beds are nice. Quiet is essential to us and we've always had a pleasant experience. There is a Chinese restaurant on site or close to other ones. Gas station is right across the street as well as a Tim Hortons. Only complaint we have is they don't offer a complimentary breakfast like other hotels personally I don't think they would need to raise rates to offer something simple they do offer coffee however. Our biggest thing about staying at hotels is quiet , cleanliness and soft bed and large fluffy pillows, this place never disappoints. Many other places we've stayed at in Kamloops that were quite acceptable have now jacked their rates so high we do not feel they are worth it as long as this place stays reasonable they will continue to get our business

Room was clean so credit to the housekeeping staff on that. Had prepaid rooms yet check in still took a few minutes to complete. Front desk staff seemed unfamiliar with process. Price was reasonable. Very disappointed with breakfast. My son came down at 7:30ish and had a least a few choices. By 9:00 am the were a few stale pieces of bread left, a banana or apple and some old peanut butter that was separating. No bagels, danish, muffins, waffles , juice, nothing but lukewarm coffee... If you offer breakfast as part of your stay restock it and put out more than just enough for 5 people? Stayed at the Super 8 a couple blocks away 2 weeks before and found that was better for breakfast but price better at Pacific Inn.

This hotel was booked as the final stop in a 10 day road trip. Our kids were looking forward to enjoying the pool after a long day of traveling. Arriving at the hotel, we were issued 2 key cards, which did not work. Then were given a physical key, which also did not work. He came up to our room to try the actual key and it did not work. Returned again with another key, which you had to turn quite hard. We finally get into our room, which had a view of the pool, only to see it was drained except for some gross water left in one side. Much to our kids major disappointment, there was no pool. What a sad way to end a holiday.
To make up for no pool, we took the kids to a movie at the nearby theater. An expense that was not pre-accounted for as we were counting on the pool. On return to the hotel, there was no parking. Went in and spoke with the front desk and the girl there came out to assess the situation and told me that I could park in front of the fire hydrants, and come back at 11pm when she is off work, I could have her front row parking. I did not feel comfortable at all with parking in front of the fire hydrant, what dangerous advice to be giving! At this point, we were contemplating just leaving the hotel and making the last of the drive home that night. A car from a nearby hotel pulled out and we were able to take their spot. Breakfast also was not what we would describe as a "hearty" breakfast. It consisted of muffins, toast and yogurt. There was coffee but no tea

We appreciated having separate sitting and sleeping areas and the beds were very comfortable. The price point was good for the area and the room clean although the bathroom could use a facelift. Compared to other hotels the continental breakfast was disappointing. Also, there was a very strong scent of curry on the third floor where we stayed.

Hotel is a bit hard to find down a side road on the North hill. You can't see the sign from the turn. Once you get there there's lots of parking, checking in is easy and they have an elevator to get to your room. Our room was huge with a king bed, couch, jet tub and full bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The view was average. Restaurants are an easy walk away.
In the morning we went down for the free continental breakfast. Limited choices, which was the only disappointment. Also the seating area was small so we had to share a table; not our preference.

We have stayed at this hotel on four previous occasions, but this stay ended that. Unfortunately, I forgot to pack an item. I called the hotel approximately four hours after we left when I realized the error. The employee checked the laundry and the lost and found, but nothing was located. Two additional phone calls and a letter to the General Manager resulted in the excuse that my item was likely thrown away as a result of all of the linens being disposed of due to "pest control in rooms". No compensation was offered for my disposed of item. Needless to say, I am thoroughly disappointed in the customer service received.

For $89 a night I feel like I shouldn't complain too much, but it's safe to say we definitely won't be rushing back. I understand with the current pandemic that things are very different, but at least advertise that your pool is not open for use. AND at least have the decency to put a cover on it... for the sake of cleaniness and for your guests who's window looks directly down at the very dirty pool.....
