For the price, the accommodation and service was good value. The front desk employee at check-in time very helpful re: security questions (bikes left on bike rack), changed room from noisy traffic to rear of building and fixed room's phone. The next door's smoke alarm persistently beeped all night.

This is a standard Travelodge in the high part of the city, away from the homeless population and near the main highway. Elevator to the upper floors. Access from outside. Adequate parking. Breakfast included a waffle maker that wasn't plugged in, fruit, muffins, yoghurt, etc. Beds were fine. Room temperature was fine.

I will not return!
I specifically requested wheelchair accessibility when I placed my reservation. I booked a suite that would sleep 6 even though there were only 4 in my party. That should not matter. The room had 1 queen bed in the bedroom. The living room contained a very uncomfortable murphy bed and 1 love seat and 1 chair at the desk. Clearly not able to sleep 6 bodies. When the murphy bed was "open" the door was blocked, which is very unsafe in case of emergency especially when you have a person in a wheelchair in the room. There was only 3 pillows in the bedroom. The murphy bed did have sheets and a blanket but no pillows. My older son ended up sleeping on the love seat as apparently the Travelodge does not have cots available. We had to request bedding and pillows for him to do be able to sleep on the love seat. The bathroom had towels for only 2 people and good thing we brought our own shampoo and body wash as there was only 1 bar of soap and 1 shampoo. The kitchenette had only 2 forks, 2 coffee mugs and assorted other dishes and cutlery. There were no pots to cook with. The complimentary coffee station only had 2 servings of coffee. The waffles for breakfast were tasty but there was nothing left of the fruit, muffins, bagels and eggs when we got there . The coffee was brown hot water. If you are a coffee drinker you know that is unpalatable.
The bathroom was not wheelchair accessible in any way, shape or form. We could not even get the wheelchair into the bathroom (had to carry my adult son) to use the toilet and sink and the shower/tub was completely unusable for a person unable to climb into a tub and stand independently. Basically my son went 3 days without showering or brushing his teeth.
All in all a very disappointing experience.

Our reservation with room charge was booked using credit card rewards points.
When I checked in I was asked for a credit card to cover the damage deposit. I was assured the charge would be reversed next day. That was done as promised.
Upon checking my credit card statement to verify the d/d was reversed I notice another charge. I contacted the hotel by phone and the person I talked with verified it was a room charge. They also verified the room had been paid by reward points and the charge would be reversed immediately but it would take up to five days to show on my credit card account. The charge was not reversed as promised. On contacting the hotel again I received another promise for reimbursement, again nothing happened.
I eventually contacted my credit card provider to get involved. The charge was reversed by my credit card provider.
A heads up to monitor your credit card charges.

This place is terrible, old and not a. Ice place to stay . Avoid if possible. The rooms are terrible , the bedding was old and laughable. They charge you $50 in case you smoke in their rooms , even after telling them we were not smokers . Took 3 days to refund the money. Just a terrible experience.

Dirty room with wet carpet. Don’t stay here. Room was extremely dated with old furniture. The carpet needs replacing badly. It was dirty and wet by the bathroom. The brown paper bag with Costco water bottle, cookies and a bag of nuts was good but is cheap looking. Comforter was very thin and we were cold. The dirty outdoor pool is an eyesore. Put a cover on it. The carpet on the balconies was worn and a tripping hazard. The grounds were dirty with trash. We paid $200. After taxes. I will never stay here again.

We stayed here twice, one week apart. The first night was fine but the second time the room we were given was terribly smoky with a cigarette smoke smell. As well, one of the sheets had a large body sized yellow stain on it which the front desk person changed but didn't know how to put the cover the right way. I helped her move the cover 90 degrees, she gave us an air freshener spray for the smoke smell (which didn't help at all) as she said there was no pet friendly room available to move us to. I know this sounds like one of those "complainer" reviews, but it was a very bad night for my wife who has trouble breathing.

I ended up leaving the hotel during the night and moving across the street to neighbouring hotel due to constant noise and banging on the walls and slimming of doors in the adjoining room. The rooms were very outdated and the carpets were dirty. The lobby was a disgrace. I would not recommend staying at the Travelodge in Kamloops.

Located just off the highway near Aberdeen Mall. Check in was quick and easy . The lady working at the front desk was friendly and pleasant to deal with during the check in. There is plenty of free parking on site. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The continental breakfast offers the basics to get your day started, only complaint was not enough fresh fruit , only had apples and the muffins in stock were 2 mini ones. Overall though we were happy with our stay and would stay here again next time we pass through Kamloops.
