Recently undertook a 12 day road trip from Van to Banff and Jasper. Kamloops was our last stop - not usually our favorite place - but STCC was brilliant. Nicely situated a little East, wonderful atmosphere with a classic classiness in a gorgeous environment beside the river and golf course.
I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful Inn for one night in March 2022 and three nights in April 2023. I experienced a fabulous stay in two different rooms as my stay was a bit of a split between dates. A delightful river view room both times, the first one with a fireplace, tv, two beds, large bathroom and extremely clean and comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful with my inquiries of any nature. The second room again two beds, large bathroom, tv and exceptionally clean and comfortable. I did dine in the library asking Chef Brody for his recommendations. My first dinner was his trout on rice, seasonal vegetables perfectly cooked which was delicious with beautiful presentation. I would highly advise any visitors to give it a try. My second dinner, again I asked Chef Brody’s choice which was Seafood Fettuccini Alfredo. Another favourite of mine and very plentiful and delicious. As I have a bit of a sweet tooth I had Chef choose a dessert for me which was a divine warm chocolate eclair pie, lovely flaky crust and delicious custard, with a small dish of ice cream and swirls of chocolate sauce! I was so fortunate to meet many of the staff working at this gorgeous property. Troy, a ten year employee, was extremely helpful to show me around and point out the different buildings, the different animals living there, the horses that board there, and his wonderful well behaved resident dog Peyton! A definite 11 out of 10 !!…
We had a great stay here. The rooms were very comfortable and bed was good. The staff was so wonderful and so helpful. The best part was the hotel dog name Patton. Hotel located near some great hikes. I highly recommend a stay.
You will find this Inn comfortable and quiet. Peyton the boarder collie mix will patiently wait for a pet and remain near or in the office area. Nice to find a dog with such good manners. There is a golf course a short walk away. If you book on the river side you may spend more time on your balcony than in your lovely room. There is a bar and restaurant inside but the restaurant is short staffed and not serving regularly. I sorely miss having breakfast.
We usually stay in town when passing through Kamloops but for a change and after reading some great reviews we decided to give this property a try. The hotel is located about 15 minutes from downtown Kamloops alongside the river and is part of a ranch. You are able to walk a portion of the property, it is great for bird watching. We had a queen mountain view room. The room was spotlessly clean and was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and well appointed and it was great having a balcony with comfortable chairs. The mountain view was great including the view of the adjacent pond. The grab and go breakfast was nothing special but was nice to have, the muffins were good. We ate dinner in the restaurant, we enjoyed our meal but it was average, and the temperature in the dining room was way to warm. The agent upon check-in was amazing, very friendly and welcoming, we were able to check-in early which was very much appreciated. We will stay at this property again without hesitation and recommend to family and friends.…
