I’m very surprised that Fairfield Inn is only rated 2*. It is nicer than and offers more than many 3* hotels that we have stayed in.
The reception is very nice. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. We were upgraded to a suite because of my husband’s Marriott membership. The room was clean and well stocked with all the toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. Even although it is on a major thoroughfare we did not hear noise from traffic. The room is also well soundproofed so we did not hear noises from other rooms.
A decent breakfast is served with a nice selection of cereals, pastries, bacon sausage, potatoes and cheese omelette. There is also a waffle iron and it made very good waffles.
It is in a good location with easy access to the freeway. Fairfield Inn is very good value for the money with nice friendly staff and parking and breakfast included.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Kamloops, and we were very pleased with the service, the food and the accommodations. The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable and we even had a nice little sitting area. It was nice neat and clean and very up-to-date. The breakfast was amazing. Lots of choices for fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage, and bacon, as well as yogurt and various breads. They even used real silverware and plates. A nice touch We would highly recommend this place if you’re coming through Kamloops.

I would recommend this hotel just for the delicious breakfast! We had waffles, bagels, bacon and all the coffee. Absolutely delicious. Parking was free and easy, took 3 tries of the dryer to get my laundry dry, but was a good nights sleep on a soft bed.

This was our allocated hotel on our overnight stop with the Rocky Mountaineer train, but I think we would have very happily chosen this for ourselves! Modern and clean, our room was vast, with a separate lounge/work area, large comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, fridge, microwave and coffee make (but no kettle) and good storage for a few days if you needed it. The bathroom was large, with a shallow Bath under the very good shower (only overhead at about a 45 degree angle, but excellent pressure and temperature made it easy to use anyway). The provided toiletries were mostly in fixed refillable bottles on the wall - great to see less plastic waste. Lots of towels provided! There was also a complimentary breakfast, the first we had seen during our Canada trip, although we were unable to use it due to eating on the train!

2 days before we were through Kamloops I checked hotels in the area and confirmed I could use Marriott points to secure 1 night reservation. The cost of the room has doubled since our last stay ad the if using points that has doubled as well. There were rooms available but they needed me to go online to confirm the booking using points. I tried but it would not allow me access to Kamloops and the front desk was unable and uninterested to assist OR contact Marriott on my behalf to help. Being a loyal and valued customer of Marriott with a few 100,000 points my needs should have taken priority over any "walkin" or "off the rack " customer. Ended up booking elsewhere and will reconsider continuing my relationship with Marriott. I spent ALOT of money with them to earn the point I can't use when I should be able to.

Clean and comfortable room. Staff were top notch. Internet and facilities excellent. Breakfast buffet was very nice, especially the single serving omelettes.
I would especially like to voice my appreciation to the breakfast manager and the young, special needs young lady who helped resupply and cleanup. The supervisor was an excellent mentor, and the young woman was a happy, bright light!

We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn in Kamloops BC. We were looking for a one night stay on our road trip and this hotel fit the bill. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We are Marriott people (platinum elite) and upon check-in they offered us 2 free food selections from the mini-market. Thank you guys. That helped us the long road trip. The room was excellent. The free breakfast was very good. Since we only stayed one night we didn't use any of the hotel facilities or travel much around Kamloops. Easy to get to from the highway.

We stayed overnight at the Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott in Kamloops to break a long drive from Canmore, back home to Vancouver Island. Check-in was a breeze by the very helpful Yuyi, who was most amenable to our request for lightweight bedding, and gave us several options to choose from. Having stayed in several hotels in the previous few days, the bed was without a doubt, the most comfortable we’d experienced, and the following morning’s breakfast was a very pleasant surprise; the usual cereals and pastries, together with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages and the option to make our own waffles if we wished to. Even more impressive was the selection of gluten free items available. Also impressive was the great air conditioning unit in our room, which was entirely controllable by us (as opposed to the hotel!) and was very quiet and efficient! In the current heatwave (and smoke) in the interior of BC, this was most welcome. Plenty of parking and convenience corner market on site. We left with full tummies, after a very comfortable night’s sleep! Impressive customer service and amenities.

We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times. The location offers a convenient on/off highway access and near fast food places, car wash, other services. There is plenty of parking at the property. They have done a good job of offering full service even during COVID restrictions. The rooms are fairly quiet and provide good guest temperature control. The indoor pool was a big hit with our kids. WiFi signal was strong and widely available around the property.
