Stunning hotel, awesome accommodation and the views/location can not be beat. We stayed here the last 2 nights on our trip to Canada from Australia. Not knowing the area well, I am glad we picked this hotel. I could not believe the size and quality of our room, but above all else the view was outstanding. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants, as well as a long the Waterfront Promenade. I had originally booked a 1 bedroom suite, but got a great deal on a 2 bedroom suite with den (Room 256) on the Black Friday sales. The master bathroom was massive, the 2nd bedroom had an ensuite and there was an additional toilet in the hallway. The den was actually set up as a 3rd bedroom. The only bedroom with views was the master. The hotel is secure and paid parking is available on site. Laundry facilities are provided in the room. Loved the indoor/outdoor pool area. Would highly recommend.

We were due to stay at the hotel on Aug 18–19 which sadly coincided with the wildfire in West Kelowna. We had a non cancellable room but the hotel allowed us to cancel and fully refunded our costs within days without any argument which was much appreciated. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to stay at the property another time as I was very impresssed with their customer service.

Definitely an older hotel- our room smelled like cigarettes and the shower BAD! I told the front desk and they handed me pool towels. Not worth the price. No room service- more like a AIRBB condo style

Dear C5123Dashleyo, Thank you for choosing The Royal Kelowna! I am sorry to hear that your room smelled like cigarettes' and that your shower was "Bad". I do not believe that our team would hand a pool towel to a guest after they made a complaint like that. Our property is smoke free so, no one should be smoking within 6 feet of any doors or windows. Such complaints are dealt with pretty diligently and quickly. If you wish to to speak about your experience more please reach out to our Guest Services manager at sonalik@theroyalkelowna.com Warm regards,

As the reviewer below, some inconsiderate unprofessional staff. Stayed 1 Nighy in 3bed room Good location as it was right next to Delta On Aug 5th, at 10pm the front lobby called me to come down and update info sheet Upon check in, my wife and I showed both of our IDs and gave credit card. The inconsiderate and unprofessional staff insisted that it has to be done to cover them. Cover what? Former Fairmont plat and Marriot Plat before Covid and stayed close to 1000 nights over last decade. Never experienced this non sense at any hotel, esp at 10pm. What a joke! Would recommend Delta next door as Marriot usually doesn't have this type of inconsiderate/unprofessional staff working.

The Royal Kelowna is a decent hotel with a good location, very large rooms and nice pool/hot tub facilities. However, some of the staff let it down. At check in my credit card was charged without the receptionist telling me this had been done, or why. As with virtually all Canadian hotels, the pillows are quite ridiculously soft. We asked for additional pillows, as this was mentioned in the room brochure. No response for 3 hours so rang again and was told there were no spare pillows - in a hotel with plenty of empty rooms! Maybe they were just having a bad day?

Dear Simon Huchins, Thank you for choosing The Royal Kelowna! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and liked our hotels facilities. The $200 incidental charges are pretty standard in all hotels. Because of that she did not think or feel the need to inform you. However, maybe that is something we need to start doing going forward. The registration card that you complete once checked in outlines the various charges. By you signing and initialing this form you are agree to these charges/holds. In regards to the delay in receiving the additional pillows you requested, I sincerely apologies. Your check-in date appears to have been Saturday July 8th. Our property is at its busiest Friday through Monday most weekends in the summer. There may have been a few guests requesting pillows leaving our supply empty. Maybe in the summer we need to keep twice the amount of pillows onsite? I have passed this onto our team so hopefully it does not happen again. We are excited to welcome you back soon! Warm regards,

Excellent location with specious suites. The check-in was smooth, and all the staff were very welcoming. By far a better value than the next door Delta hotel. The hotel do not offer food and beverages services, but the area is full with restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores, so you really do not feel it's missing.

I am not sure what makes a hotel a hotel, but as an experienced traveler, this is not a hotel. More like you have a condo with a subpar management team on site. Condo was clean and comfy, though could use some updating. Kitchen was well stocked. Great if you plan to cook and or stay awhile. Only 2 bottles of water on check in. I get that the rooms have kitchens with coffee makers but I am on vacation, coffee in lobby in mornings would be nice. They are not offering house cleaning, due to covid, Covid is over, get back to normal. Especially if you are charging what you charge along with fees. Front desk staffs knowledge on area and amenities provided varied. Great location just not what we expected for a "hotel".

Dear Natalee, Thank you for staying with The Royal Kelowna! On behalf of our team I apologies that you didn't have a great experience staying with us. Our property is just like any hotel, the only difference being, we don't have a restaurant on site. I'm sorry that we don't serve coffee in our lobby. Their are plenty of coffee shops with-in short walking distance of the hotel. We have unfortunately, been unable to resume stay service do to staff shortage. However, we make it clear that if guest are staying more then one night, and need anything during their stay they are more then welcome to call or speak with us and we can make arrangements according to there needs. I booked a stay at The Royal Kelowna on February 14th, 2023 for a stay Feb 20 to Feb 23. I received an email from customer service Rep on Feb 15th stating "We are reaching out to inform you that from February 20 – March 2 there will be construction happening at the hotel. There will be noise associated with this work, starting no earlier than 10am and ending no later than 4pm." This was, in my opinion an extremely deceitful and "vague" wording. We were in fact 2 rooms down from extremely loud "JACKHAMMERING". With appointment and zoom calls we were unable to spend any day time hours in the room and had to find other locations. We spent more time at the Grand Okanagan next door we were heard other people voicing their disappointment and complaints about this extreme noise and deceit. I reached out to the GM a week ago, with the link they provided. No one to date has responded. I am extremely dissatisfied with this deceit and no response from Management.

Dear Nancy, On behalf of The Royal Kelowna, I want to apologize for your recent unpleasant stay with us! Our intention behind the email was to inform our guests of the construction, so that if they felt it would harm their stay they had the option to either cancel their reservation or make another arrangement. We apologize if that is not what you felt happened. I have spoken to our GM, and he has not yet received an email. If you would like to discuss this further feel free to reach out to sonalik@theroyalkelowna.com. Once again, we sincerely apologize, and we look forward to hosting you in the future!

Stayed here for two nights with my husband. Blown away by being given an upgrade from a 1 bedroom suite to a 3 bedroom suite. The receptionist didn’t tell us she had upgraded us so when we got in the room we were a bit confused but super happy. The suite was huge, everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Lovely and quiet. Reason for 4 stars, the receptionist seem very uninterested, didn’t engage in any real conversation with us, such a shame she didn’t mention the upgrade not sure why. The towels are looking a bit old and tatty. Whirlpool bath didn’t work and a challenge to get into. All in all a lovely relaxing stay. Thank you.

We love it here! We come several times a year and the accommodations are first rate! Love the rooftop pool and hot tubs. The view and location are prime. This time we saw a pamphlet in the lobby for a traveling massage therapist who does in-suite treatments, named Sally Thompson. We did the Wow Facial and it was unlike any facial we have ever experienced. Ah-mazing! Do yourself a favour and give this talented, professional and super fun lady a call to book a fantastic and relaxing evening. You won’t regret it!!
