Karen was an awesome host. She made us feel very welcome in her beautiful home in downtown Kelowna. Our room was spectacular with our own private patio where we spent time relaxing on the comfy couch and enjoying the view of the lake. The room (and her home) was exquisite and very clean. Karen made available many toiletries and plus other features (Keurig, iron/iron board, lovely housecoats, etc) in our room to make our stay comfortable. I can't say enough about the FANTASTIC breakfasts!! We absolutely loved them! Karen provided recommendations for a few restaurants for our evening meal and we were not disappointed. We will definitely return to Karen and Ogopogo B&B and we highly recommend her establishment for any travellers going to Kelowna.
Karen was an amazing host, and phenomenal cook! She has a gorgeous and quiet B&B, was very personable and had so many great recommendations for activities to do and restaurants to visit. Each of her recommendations ended up being spot on. Karen also cooks breakfasts fit for a king! You won't go hungry with her providing you delicious meals made with ingredients from her garden when they're in season!
The comfort, cleanliness, incredible breakfasts and location offered by Ogopogo cannot be beat! Prior to booking, I read about the delicious breakfasts the host Karen makes each morning. It was 100% true! Each morning an delicious breakfast is prepared and served at whatever time is convenient for you. The food is amazing!! Ogopogo is a 15-20 minute walk along the water from town. It's a beautiful walk. If you're lucky you may even stumble upon one of the outdoor concerts at the park along the way. Apart from a comfortable stay and delicious food, I was a bit surprised that we were asked about our covid vaccination status when we checked-in. The topic was raised again by Karen the following day which made me feel quite uncomfortable. If disclosing your medical history is a requirement to stay at the B&B, then I suggest that it is clear to guests prior to booking.…
We loved everything about our two night stay! The room was spacious and spotless with a huge ensuite. We made good use of the deck looking to the water where there was a comfortable couch. We appreciated all the features - Keurig, mini fridge, stressless chair, high quality blow dryer, and lighting features. We also made use of the bikes and enjoyed riding around downtown Kelowna. Karen was a lovely host with great attention to detail. Her breakfasts were incredible - loved the smoothies, yogurt and granola and the protein pancakes. Can’t say enough - will definitely recommend to friends and hope to stay again some day!
If there was a tier above BnB Ogopogo would be the definition. The property is amazing, from the location, to the home itself. Our room was fantastic, the amazingly comfortable bed and shower were standouts, the beach at our doorstep, kayaks and bikes to use on a whim, and then Karen and her breakfasts A+++. Thank you from M and C!
I would highly recommend this beautiful home away from home for a getaway in the greater Kelowna area. Karen (the host) is truly masterclass in hosting and put together an exceptional experience where she’ll leave you wanting to return ….from the extremely comfortable bed (bamboo sheets) to the delicious breakfasts (ask her about her cookbook!), we were beyond impressed. She even provides bikes, kayaks, beach towels, recommendations… your time away at Ogopogo will surpass any expectations. Simply incredible. *Photo depicts 5 minute walk to Kelowna boardwalk.
We stayed here for three nights during a heat wave of 40 C temperatures (hottest ever recorded in Kelowna). Our suite was cool yet cozy and extremely comfortable, with amazing sleeps in the king bed! The B&B is beautiful and in immaculate condition, and it’s nice that there are only two guest suites (on their own floors), with a beautiful and spacious bathroom. We also didn’t realize that we would have our own entranceway and breathtaking patio. Karen made absolutely incredible breakfasts for us every morning with ingredients from her garden (maybe the best breakfast I’ve ever had). She also gave us great tips on how to spend our three days in terms of activities, meals and wineries. Location is perfect - 15 min walk to great hikes and to city centre, also right across the street from a beach. Karen lent us bikes, beach towels and beach chairs for our stay. Overall an amazing visit! This is a GEM! Can’t imagine staying elsewhere in Kelowna and will without a doubt stay here next time we’re back in this charming city. Miss you already Karen!…
We just returned home from our sixth stay in five years at the Ogopogo B&B. Karen never fails to amaze us. The B&B is immaculate and is in the same remarkable condition it was in five years ago. Her home is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully located; central to everything downtown. Her delicious and beautifully plated full breakfasts (fruit salad/smoothie, OJ, and sweet or savoury entree) and hospitality are out of this world. We will be back next year for another visit. Can hardly wait. Thanks again, Karen. :) P.S. Her fruit salads and smoothies are to die with the freshest berries and mangoes. Fruit salads are served with a side of greek yogurt and her own granola. YUMM!!
We stayed for two nights at Karen’s beautiful B & B right on the water in Kelowna. We stayed in the Sunset suite and immensely enjoyed our stay. The suite was super clean and every detail was taken care of. We loved that we were able to walk everywhere (Knox Mountain, downtown Kelowna ect) and loved riding the bikes that Karen lent us. The best part of the whole stay was the wonderful breakfasts! We were stuffed after every meal and the food so delicious. We will definitely return - thanks Karen!
My husband found this B&B and I’m so happy he did! Very well located in the heart of Kelowna. Everything about the experience was perfection. Karen is an amazing hostess...from anticipating your every need to making the best breakfast! The room was on point and every detail carefully though out: crisp bedding, fluffy white towels, and too many more special details to write in a short review. It felt like we where visiting a close friend not a B&B. I can not recommend this place enough. Thank you Karen for being so attentive and taking care of us in such an amazing way.
