Anyone who’s followed me on here knows I’m a fan of Accent Inn and have been ever since I “discovered” them via their Richmond location in 2006. What I appreciate about this BC-based hotel chain is their consistency right across the board: The hotels are identical in look, feel and charm regardless of location; their staff always walk the extra mile to ensure a positive experience; the rooms are always clean and cozy (we especially enjoy the comfortable beds); parking is never an issue because the parking lots are more than ample; each hotel has a reputable restaurant attached; and the price, for what you receive, is always more than fair. In short, Accent Inn has demonstrated – to us – that they know the importance of customer service . . . and that is what keeps us coming back.
Indeed, our stay at the Kelowna location was no different. Check in was a breeze, our room was clean and well-appointed with all the modern amenities we’ve come to expect, and we enjoyed receiving our rubber ducky friend, albeit in a brown bag with coffee and other sundries on account of the COVID pandemic. After a long day, it was so nice to relax in a comfortable room.
On a more personal note, I was also pleased to stay here because doing so allowed me to accomplish a silly goal: Having now stayed at Accent Inn Kelowna, I can now say I’ve patronized all of Accent Inn's properties. And the good news? The level of service and value received is consistent straight across the board. Keep up the good work! We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms are large and updated, the beds are comfortable and the staff is great. So friendly and gave us extra items we needed i.e. towels, coffee, key cards and ducks :). There were 11 of us who stayed and they were able to accommodate us staying close to one another. We were prepared for the noise and all brought ear plugs. There is construction right behind the hotel and will be for a while, so prepare yourselves with ear plugs. The pool though.... It is NOT refreshing. It was about 27 degrees outside and the pool might as well have been soup. The temperature definitely needs dropped a few degrees. We enjoyed the 10% off at Ricky's across the parking lot and were really treated well by the wait staff there. There is also a Starbucks in the same parking lot for that extra kick of caffeine. Would 100% stay here again.

Hey there! Thanks so much for your awesome review! It's fantastic to hear you loved our spacious rooms, comfy beds, and our rockstar staff. We always aim to make sure our guests have everything they need, especially extra ducks! 🦆😄 We totally get it about the noise from the construction; good call on bringing earplugs (and if you ever need more, feel free to ask- we've got you covered!) We're working on keeping the noise as minimal as possible while they do their thing behind us. Thank you for your feedback about the pool, we had our maintenance ducks on it right away, We've made sure to turn down the heat so your next dip can be as refreshing as you expect! We'd be thrilled to have you back with us again. Just let us know when you're ready for round two of comfy rooms, friendly staff, and a cooler pool this time! Until then, safe travels 😊🌊

I really lucked out finding this great chain. I only started staying here last month but every part of our interactions here was comforting.
We were stranded a late Sunday night and given a uneasy situation of a unexpected, continually extended hotel stay.
This hotel was above and beyond in more than one way.
The hotel experience was clean, housekeeping, janitors, helpful staff seem to be everywhere...... but then you find out that some very helpful friendly folks helping me with somr challenges due to disability turned out to be the hotel management too!
I also watched over the the long stay so many acts of kindness to the bc flood victims and others.
In the above and beyond. I was there sometimes alone with my stroke self, security was routine and just always walking around and friendly to help me, front desk and housekeeping were always diligent to offer to be there for help if I needed while my husband was away.
This stay was one of the gems where we were taken care of how you should be and therefore didn't need to ask for much.
This hotel also gives extra to the world by giving a discount if you are staying there for the General hospital this was very appreciated given we didn't plan a stroke and a extra long stay in a hotel for some pretty great help by the hospitals rehabilitation pool program 🥰
The cherry in top of everything is I got to check in in a wheelchair chair and check out walking with my trusty walker and a handful of the cutest rubber duckys 💕

It was absolutely a pleasure to have you stay at our hotel. I'm overjoyed to hear how everyone on my team made your stay enjoyable, comfortable, and ecstatic to learn that you arrived in a wheelchair and was able to check out walking. I hope you choose us for your next visit to Kelowna, hopefully under much better circumstances.

Extremely friendly & efficient service. I stayed in a room with my dog. Room was spotless and no smell at all. AI uses fogger machines to clean their rooms so everything gets disinfected: all fabric materials too. It was very important to me as my husband underwent lung surgery in KGH and I felt safe in a clean environment that I actually slept well. Highly recommend Accent Inn Kelowna.

Very unprofessional and incompetent Staff and Manager. We chose the hotel because of the location and the complimentary breakfast since we were in Kelowna only for the weekend and we wanted to save as much time as possible. At our arrival, we were told that because of COVID breakfast was not served at the dining room anymore, but delivered to our room instead, which I thought was fair. The next day, we received a small brown bag with kids snacks in it (apple, yogurt and granola bar). When I complained to the front desk about the fact that we were expecting a real breakfast and not kids snacks, the staff kept giving us the same excuse about the COVID restrictions. I explained that it is not a valid reason and that the hotel could order real food from a restaurant and deliver it to our room and that there are other better options than what we got. We asked for a discount because of the lack of service and false advertisement on their website. The front desk person said that breakfast is free and was implying that this was a favor they were doing to customers. On her way to speak to the manager, she was mocking us and didn't seem to care about our complaint. The manager didn't even bother to come see us. The front desk person said they can't give us a discount and wished us a "Nice day" with a big fake smile! While I understand that this is a strange time for everyone because of the coronavirus, I don't think it is fair to offer a lower quality service but still charge the same fees. If you are not able to provide your customers something as simple as breakfast, then you shouldn't advertise it on your website, even if it's "free".

NawalSurf, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us and I am glad that we spoke on Sunday before you checked out so that I could personally address your concerns about the breakfast. Unfortunately we have had to close our breakfast rooms and therefore reduce what we are able to provide for breakfast. For those guests who would like a full sit down breakfast as opposed to the fruit, juice, oatmeal, yogurt and granola bar we are offering we do have Rickys Restaurant on site who offer a great breakfast. Of course, our guests also get a discount there. I very much hope that you otherwise enjoyed your stay and I encourage you to reach out to me directly should you have any other concerns that we did not previously discuss. Thanks, Kaileigh

Although, we only stayed here for a night it was enough to judge the service and other amenities. The front desk girls and the cleaning staff were very helpful and always received us with a smile. The room was well kept and had everything we needed. They gave our kids rubber duckies and that was a nice touch. The only concern we had was that the internet did not work over the night and that needs some attention.

This plandemic has changed several things when it comes to staying in a hotel. They usually serve a breakfast, buffet style, which is no longer available. Housekeeping no longer cleans in your room during your stay, or changes towels, etc, unless you make a request and go pick it up. When I checked in there was only one person on duty at the desk and there were several of us waiting to check in. I timed my arrival and it was one hour before I got to my room. I had travelled all day and they had no washroom available for public use so I had to go to the restaurant next door. They offered a bag breakfast with fruit, instant cereal, yogurt, granola bar and juice box. I asked for fruit only and when I got my bag the next morning I had everything in it, except fruit. I told them I only wanted fruit and they laughed and said they were out of fruit. I didn't get anything the rest of my stay. I would have liked to be informed they were out and again when they got more in. I always stay here when in Kelowna but felt the overall experience this time was lacking, which to me was disappointing.

I'm very sorry to hear that your experience was disappointing LynW1212. While we are working through the implementation of the Provincial Health guidelines for hotels, we aim to do so while still providing the great service you expect from us. We have increased our evening staffing to address check-in wait times as the process itself is close to 3 times as long as pre-Covid. I will address with the team the issue with your breakfast bag as we have a system in place for recording specific requests and should be able to deliver on those. We appreciate your patience as we work out the kinks in the new processes and hope to see you back in the future.

I needed to be in Kelowna for medical appointments at the cancer clinic. I was 6 hours from home and would be in Kelowna for one week. To begin with, I was extremely happy with the discounted rate I received due to necessity of attending medical appointments. The hotel accepted pets for a small additional fee which was very fair and very accomodating. The room had a kitchenette with comforts of home. This medical trip coincided with our 44th wedding Anniversary, and to our surprise, a manager showed up at our door with a big smile and thoughtful card carrying a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Obviously, Accent Inn cares about their guests and shows it! The staff was friendly, outgoing and extremely accomodating. I would give Accent Inn in Kelowna a 10 star rating if I could, however, 5 big stars to Accent Inn for exceptional service, friendly accomodating staff, and spacious, extremly clean rooms! Thank you Accent Inn for making our stay so comfortable!

I've never experienced such a level of incompetence and common sense from the front desk staff, housekeeping staff and the manager.
My first issue I had was my door. The deadbolt did not lock and I am a woman travelling alone. I propped a chair up behind the door to feel more safe in my room. I did not want to fuss with moving late in the evening when I discovered it didnt work. Hence how the housekeeping staff walked in and yelled while I was sleeping.
I stayed passed the checkin time of 11:00 am due to sleeping in (I have a condition that requires a sleeping pill currently). I was called twice, housekeeping opened my door and I was verbally harrassed at my room by the front desk staff. All occurred from 11am-11:25am.
The front desk staff came to my room and demanded I speak to her. She continued to badger me for a time that I was leaving all while I was gathering my belongings. It was clear I was trying my best to go but she wouldnt let up. It was highly disturbing that someone can do this to a guest when they are attempting to leave.
Then as I attempted to speak to the manager she clearly had already sided with her staff that they took the correct measures to ensure I vacated promptly instead of letting me wakeup and gather my belongings to leave. Never in my 45 years have I been treated so poorly at a hotel/motel. Most establishments are open to a person taking the time they need within reasonable time frames. 25 minutes over the checkout time seemed reasonable.
I returned to my room at 11:40 to retrieve my phone cord, which had already disappeared. I checked all my bags and it was gone. The staff cleared the room of garbage and my cord. However, no cleaning was occurring. I'm certain the manager will have some excuses around Covid and the time it takes to clean a room, however, no one should be treated in this manner.
The front desk clerk never apologized and smirked as I was trying to explain my condition etc. She clearly had no desire to care or have any concern.
Spend your money elsewhere and get treated with some respect and dignity!!!
PS- My last stay there, which I had no control over booking, there was a drunk woman at the pool blowing her nose of mucus all over the pool deck. She was diving and almost hurt herself several times. I told the front desk staff and they did nothing about it. So if youd like to risk getting Covid as well this is where you should book!!!! Spend your money elsewhere.

Hi 773amberj, Thank you for sharing this feedback with us both in person at the time of check out and again in writing. We are more than happy to accommodate requests for late check outs, however we do ask that guests communicate these requests to the front desk so that we can coordinate with our team. In cases in which we do not hear back prior to the standard checkout time, our procedure is to contact the room, then follow up by knocking on the door. I am sorry that you found this intrusive. Quite often we have committed the room to another guest for the evening and want to ensure it is ready for occupancy at our promised check-in time, however we strive to be as flexible and accommodating as we can be. We appreciate you letting us know about the concerns with your deadbolt. This appeared to be working properly, however perhaps we need to provide more guidance for guests in the future. Thanks also for letting us know you had located your phone cord in your bag. As it relates the woman in the pool, the health and safety of our guests and our team is our top priority at all times, which has been heightened during Covid-19. We are conducting increased amounts of sanitization throughout the property, especially the pool area, ensuring proper social distancing is taking place and all protocols are followed.
