Way too loud, bar plays over the top loud music outside even though there are no customers seated outside. Numerous requests fell on deaf ears to have outdoor speakers turn down or off. There is no longer any front desk staff at the Elderado only at Manteo next door so it seems they could care less. This was once the best in Kelowna, sadly those days are a thing of the past. Consider somewhere else to stay.

We spent 3 hours in the baking Okanagan sun shine at the Hotel Eldorado bar outside patio at 36C or 96.8 F. We had to move twice because of heat and asked for the blinds to be lowered…low and behold it wasn’t till we were leaving misters came on out of the blue. I asked our server who’s brilliant idea was to turn on the misters and she replied the managers, he didn’t want them on earlier because it makes the tables wet….are you friggen kidden me??? This manager needs a tune up and replaced…when it’s 36C or 96.8 F on a patio with no wind or ventilation because of glass you need MISTERS at All TIMES….

Wow Wow Wow. From the moment you walk into this waterfront Boutique Hotel you are greater by friendly staff and cozy intimate atmosphere. We were originally booked in a King Suite at the Mateo which is supposed to be more modern but definitely felt more "condoish". We asked to me moved to the Eldorodo King Suit with corner soaker tub and were accommodated swifly and did not dissapoint. Room 222 waterfront with floor to ceiling fully opening living room doors getting the full Okanogan experience overlooking the marina and Lake Okanogan. The room was spacious and clean with beautifuly appointed and comfortable furniture. Luxury comfort is the only way I can describe this water front room. The best part of our stay though was the staff. There are a young and energetic crew who all had smiles on their face and made every effort to ensure we were having the best couples get away. From room service breakfast on bed, patio drinks to dinner at the Mateo Mediteranian restrant or the indoor experience at the ElDorado everything was top shelf. Eggs Benedict and the classic breakfast were excellent as was our Muscles and Oysters at the Mateo. If you want something lighter there is a good choice of appetizers and finger food. Everything was reasonably priced for a boutique hotel. The pool was warm with option of a hot tub spa as well as fitness facility. If you desire a dip in Lake Okanogan, there is a small private beach near by for a quick swim with wonderful chairs to lounge and bask on the sun. I would 1000% recommend with hotel for a couple getaway or even a larger event such as a wedding as there is an open air rooftop lounge with comfortable sofas and nest chairs with outstanding views of the lake. Classic waterfront hotel with a marina attached and sister hotel next door (Matteo). Excellent restaurant, bar, scotch bar and patio on water. One hour kayak, stand up board included. Indoor and outdoor pools, rooftop deck. Free parking. Rooms excellent. Choice of classic original building or newer building with larger rooms ( our choice) Downtown and wineries a short drive or cab away. Recommend Summerhill and Cedar Creek wineries and restaurants. Also Raudz downtown ( chef led the Wickaninish opening in Torino). Our favourite is the Lakeside Dining room at the Eldorado.

Our experience at the El Dorado was absolutely wonderful. Our next door neighbour suggested this hotel. So we thought we’d try it out. Sooo glad we did. From the moment we checked in, (my wide, 9 year old daughter, and I) we were treated like gold. Meronie, (our check in host) was absolutely delightful. Probably amongst the best service we’ve ever had, and we’ve stayed in many many hotels! Meronie asked what brought us to Kelowna, and we said it was an impromptu trip for my wife’s birthday, and on behalf of the hotel, we were graciously thanked for choosing their resort. She also gave my wife/us some really great perks for staying there on my wife’s special day. The pool we checked out was perfect temp, the dinner in the dining room was great, and the view from our hotel room was spectacular. Breakfast was really good. We didn’t have enough time to utilize the included paddle boats rental, but we will the next time we go, because I guarantee we will be back. Do yourself a favour, and go. The hotel is nice enough but other than that not family or pet friendly. Pets are allowed but you cannot take them anywhere onsite except for your room. For the price there is no continental breakfast and though they allow kids there isn’t much for families with young kids. Pool suck, the private beach is small, finding parking was a nightmare. Lastly, other people can stare directly into your room from there patio, picture for reference. For travellers with young kids or pets, you would do better getting into something like a super8 or best western.

Decided to stop by last minute before happy hour ended. I was promptly seated and looked after with 5 minutes to go. Waitress Katelyn was totally accommodating. My food (chilli chicken) was excellent and upon my almost last sip of beer my new beer landed not to go thirsty. Thank you Fantastic service, great atmosphere.

Book the wheelchair accessible room. Only thing accessible was the bathroom talked to manager. They were unwilling to help. Room was on 4th floor. Pray they don't have the elevator break down or a fire as there is only one elevator car. Do not stay here if you use a wheelchair

You pay 160 plus tax off season and on a so called deal and on a Sunday and when not that busy here, pretty dead, to get a view of the parking lot, no soap in our room as missed by cleaning staff not paying proper attention and a crackly phone and as well no CBC to just watch some playoff hockey and this no CBC is a brand new one, anywhere! No Sportsnet either and playoffs are only on these two platforms! Called down 3 times in a span of almost an entire hour to just get some soap up here as we had to use up the tiny shampoo to just wash hands since being in room. Plus I was down there originally to ask on soap before that next wasted hr and no soap at front desk? Was frustrating! I must go with a poor rating unfortunately as we were here to just relax after a long crazy week. Booked long in advance too as a staycation. Not much of that going on before writing this!
