Oh waw. I have just visited the El for their Sunday brunch, it was amazing. Such a wide selection of meats, fish, vegetables, salads, pies-the list is endless. And just when you think it can’t get better you visit the dessert table! Everything was just so delicious, hats off to the chef. It was ‘help yourself heaven’. Fantastic value for money. The staff are all so welcoming and helpful too. I will definitely return. Thank you Eldorado Resort.
Was impressed again by the hot tub and pool area and lounge and service and extras we received. Was a nice warm stay! Nice internet too to do some business emails for a tiny bit. Was a nice romantic package deal! Thanks! (: Apr 13/14 am.
My adult daughter and I just stayed at The Eldorado and had an even better stay than I had expected. We stayed for 4 nights over this last weekend. We stayed in a Luxury Lakeview Suite in the Arms building attached to the original hotel. Parking is close by Check in was quick and easy. What I hadn't expected was the ambiance and feel of the buildings and the room. Originally built in the 1920s, the decor was perfect for that era. It felt like being back in the roaring 20s with the convenience of modern times. The colours of the walls, the furniture, the decorations ... everything fit in. Our suite was everything I wanted. The front entrance has a hall, desk, and a large closet with robes that we didn't end up using. The kitchen has a table and chairs with a view of the lake. There is a fridge, microwave and dishwasher as well as coffee maker, plates and utensils. The living room had a comfy sofa bed, two large chairs, an attoman and a large mirror. The bathroom again was decorated in the 1920s style with a huge multi jetted shower. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed (maybe queen or king) with side tables. The large jetted tub is in an open alcove in the bedroom. The alcove has plantation shutters that you can leave open or closed. The kitchen, living room, alcove and bedroom all have wide views of the lake. We would leave the sliding doors open and listen to the music and people. Closed, the rooms were very quiet. Had room service - awesome. We were there during a heat wave and the rooms were very comfortable. Never had to do any adjusting of the temperature. There was a TV in the bedroom and living room. We were so busy we didn't get a chance to try any of the different pools or other amenities. We did get to experience an unexpected fire alarm. Luckily during the daytime and there was no fire. Did get to see all of the staff and guests in the parking lot. We are definitely going back.…
We had an awesome stay albeit very short only 1 night. Nevertheless the stay was excellent. Thank you very much to Riley for helping us take our stuff to the room! Food is also excellent great breakfast and dinner. Thank you! Will absolutely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed at the Eldorado Resort hotel for our 40th anniversary. The staff surprised us with a room upgrade and a complementary cake! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Loved it!
Tobe went above and behind in helping my colleague and I with a multitude of requests throughout our stay. He was warm, engaging and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Tobe truly made our stay exceptional
Sadly, the service was terrible. Unfortunately, a lot of the staff seem to be 'holiday' students or kids that didn't really know what was going on or how to manage any customer service issues. Some staff even struggled with basic etiquette like greeting all the guests with a smile and bringing a menu to the table after we were seated. That is the bare minimum of what is expected. I wasn't able to give feedback directly to the hotel as the survey link emailed afterwards doesn't even work.
Planned a wedding at El Dorado. Started out great with our original wedding advisor. She eventually quit and the rest of our experience was awful. El Dorado didn't ask for details until the last minute which resulted in issues with multiple things, including our bar set up which ended up costing us and our guests more money than it should have. To top it off, after sending us the final bill, their managers have refused to e-mail me back regarding an explanation of the extra charges. The food was the only bright spot.
This is well located on the lake shore with a marina. The hotel Eldorado is part of the larger Eldorado Hotel complex. We arrived and difficult to park. No one at reception had to go into a nearby office to be told he will be back soon. When reception did arrive it was a slow and cumbersome process with the computers and card readers not wishing to talk to each other. Our room was a lakeland view suite, this in the extension to the original hotel. The hotel was great, large, comfortable, quiet and great views of the lake. When we went to check out the following morning little sign says hotel reception closed please go to the nearby Eldorado Resort to check out. Not really what you expect in a hotel at this price. Would we stay again, probably not.
Be aware that if you have a pet, you will NOT get the room you booked, in our case an upper floor with balcony. Their pet designated rooms are different, 2nd floor, no balconies! We were not told that upfront. When we called ahead to confirm that we would have the room we booked, we were told no, but we could upgrade to another room, 2nd floor, still no balcony, for move than $100 per night extra. The front desk person, Nav, was not at all apologetic or helpful and his tone was quite condescending. He informed us that the reservation small print stated, “depending on availability”, as though that was sufficient explanation. Take it or leave it was his attitude. We cancelled the reservation.
