We were assigned room 424 and is a connecting room. The window overlooks the restaurant patio and one can see a tiny bit of the Lake Okanagan. The room is fairly bright and spacious. Bottled water is complimentary in the room and you can ask for more at the front desk. The sink and shower drains a bit slow so water pools a bit. Oak + Cru restaurant is in the lobby and offers delicious food.
We were part of a group tour so had breakfast included and set up in conference rooms. The breakfast service staff were super friendly and quick. I really like the Delta Hotel pastries, particulary the croissant and the mini doughnuts with fillings. At another Delta Hotel, I was told the croissants were baked on the premises and the doughnuts were made for the hotel. The second morning of my stay, there were no doughnuts with fillings at the buffet table so I asked a staff if there are any. He went to the kitchen and brought me a whole tray!
Service was quick, always someone on hand to refill coffee or clear used plates.

We stayed at the Grand for five days in September and were not impressed with their cleaning staff or policies. Guests should be aware that it is POLICY that their cleaning staff do a BARE minimum “tidy” of the room if you stay multiple days, and even then the chance your room will have all towels replaced and the coffee station filled is minimal, in the five nights of our stay there was not one night where the room was properly tided, all towels were replaced (even when they were all put into the tub for easy collection!), and the coffee/tea station was not restocked. I expect this from a cheap discount hotel not a hotel where rooms are let for over $500 a day.
The benefits of this hotel, the location is amazing which allows easy walking access to the cultural district of Kelowna. The hotel public spaces were neat and tidy (it was amazing since the cleanliness of the rooms was so subpar). All staff people we interacted with were lovely and friendly with the exception of a wait staff person at the restaurant on site who seemed a bit off but tried.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Grand Okanagan Resort and while the location was great, I was extremely disappointed with the stay. The rooms are dirty, outdated and the prices were insanely high. The restaurant food is mediocre at best.
It was overall a horrible experience until we met Benjamin, the manager. With one fell swoop, he elevated the experience to a whole new level. When we went to the front desk to issue our complaints, my entire party along with other guests mistook him as the General Manager. The way he handled himself, how he handled our complaints and how his staff look up to him. He was able to move us rooms to something we were happy in and made us feel like royalty. I would never stay here again unless it is guaranteed he will be personally looking after us. Thank you Benjamin!

There is no rest in this hotel! on arrival in the evening around 20:00 clock we first came through the lobby, here several TVs ran with loud sound, then we came to the reception. Also here it was unpleasantly loud, so you had to ask in conversation more often, because of the high noise level the communication was difficult. Checking in was extremely complicated and lengthy. the staff were overwhelmed and seemed stressed and unfriendly. at first we were advised what to pay extra, and where more costs are incurred. the rooms were paid weeks before, nevertheless first 900 dollars for any expenses in the hotel were debited from our credit card (stay 3 days).?? we were promised rooms with lake view. we could have actually seen the lake, would have been to open the windows to keep the head out and then to see a spot of water at the end of the building wall. at night you could hear a background noise from a large air conditioner in the yard. although we kept all appliances turned off in the room, a continuous noise of up to 50 decibels could be heard. (measured with a mobile app) the staff in the breakfast area was friendly and attentive. Overall, this hotel is not recommended.

big shout out to the team at the delta okanangan ! our suite was spacious , clean and updated. excellent mattress and quality linens . cleaning staff did a very thourough job. front desk staff were helpful and thanks to andrew for assisting us with the overloaded luggage cart. the pool side is beatiful and well manged by a sanatizing team, and reservation desk offering complimentry water when you sign in (nice touch). the bar staff were helpful and courteous and never "hounded " us for more orders. there is a 20 dollar resort fee which is totally worth it. we used the bikes daily , along with the kayak. thanks to lydia for always making us feel welcome and accomadating our requests. also a drop in wine tasting from 2 - 5 daily hosted by some of the local wineries. very informative and fun! the resort fees also include coupons that can be used at the onsite restaurant and the coffee/sandwich bar. we dined twice at the restaurant"oak and cru" and had delicious meals ,and great service situated on a patio overlooking the lagoon. we had fabulous hot weather , so lots of pool time. but also enjoyed the great location of the hotel and its proximity to many walking paths. highly recommend for a local staycation and a great jumping off point for exploring the many beautiful attractons of the okanangan. keep up the good work !

My wife and I stayed here for four nights on our tour of western BC. I will start with the good points of this property.
The location can't be beat; right on the lake and a short walk to the beach, many restaurants, shopping, etc. The grounds and common areas are really nice and well kept. Our room was very spacious and we had a nice view of the lake. Check in was quick and staff seemed very helpful.
There is a little store on site with a Starbucks which was very handy. pricing was ridiculous in my opinion: $ 5 for a donut and $ 12 for a small fruit cup?
As others have mentioned, parking is $ 30 / night which is a little steep for a small town (we paid less in downtown Vancouver) and the resort fee is a joke. You have to pay it whether you use the amenities or not, so for us, our $ 80 (four days at $ 20 / day) got us two free cans of beer and $ 20 off a very mediocre meal in the restaurant. I think they'd be far better off burying the $ 20.00 into the price of the room.
The disappointments: air conditioner in our room was very loud, furnishing were a bit dated and showing some age and the wifi was slow; almost unusable at times. At nearly $ 2,600 for 4 nights, parking, taxes, resort fees and one sub-par meal included, everything about your stay should be exceptional.
If back in Kelowna, we would definitely consider staying here again, based mainly on location.

This place might look like a luxury resort but we felt treated like sardines. It’s funny how the most expensive places always tend to nickel and dime you, and that’s how it felt here. The room was incredibly small for the four of us and our bathtub was dirty and seemed to have a leak somewhere. Despite mentioning this several times it was never addressed during our four night stay. The saving grace was the pool, which I really enjoyed and appreciated that there was a pool bar.

The hotel is very grand and lovely, well maintained and clean. The staff were great. We had a room service order that was lost and required several phone calls but it was addressed appropriately eventually. The Cannery is great for morning coffee, pastries, beer and ciders, other grab and go items.
My disappointment was with the room assigned to us: I requested a lake view when I booked the trip (through Westjet vacations). I was told no guarantees which is reasonable, however I phoned the week prior to our arrival and reiterated my request but then upon arrival I was told it was an upgrade and no rooms were available anyway. I would have paid for the upgrade if anyone had discussed it with me ahead of time. Because of the view of the parking lot we searched for places to sit and enjoy the view of the lake and found there weren't many options on the property other than in the restaurant that charges $16 per drink. We also did not use the pool because it was overcrowded every day and could not get a seat there. It is under-sized for this hotel.
One suggestion for improvement to the hotel: most hotels now have an express checkout option where your bill is placed under your door and you can simply leave the cards in the room and go. It is old school to have to wait in line to checkout.

My third time staying at this Delta property and most likely my last. I am a business traveler and I visit the Kelowna area every three months to meet with important customers. This visit may have been the straw that broke my camel's back and here's a sample of why ... The ice machine on my floor was broken and when I asked the reception where else I could get ice I was told to check the floor above or below me. (I was on the 8th floor). The only problem was that my key would only allow me access to my floor so I could not check any other floor's ice machine. My quest went on for some illusive ice and I went to the bar to beg for a few cubes but they did not have ice buckets., so I went to reception to ask if they could loan me an ice bucket to save me from going up to the 8th floor and retrieving mine. Well, after only checking in 10 minutes earlier, the same young person at reception asked me for photo ID. I refused and went to my room to grab my ice bucket which the bartender kindly filled for me. The young people managing the check in, seem to be new and inexperienced and did not know much about the hotel and seem afraid to help customers., so more training is desperately required as this is the first impression a guest has of a property Finally, they are charging a $20 fee per guest as of May 1 for some sort of recreation and bar / food discounts. When I told the person that I checked in with that I was not interested, she told me that it is mandatory and I had no choice to have it charged to my credit card. I was not aware of this extra charge and since I was only staying one night I would not use these services but was charged anyway. Overall, the property needs better management oversight and training of their very inexperienced staff. However, as I said in my opening remarks I won't be back to find out how they did with their improvements

Worst Marriot we have ever stayed. We paid almost $700 for one night. We checked in a little later after 6pm. They were packed. Nothing fancy about the hotel, not even their customers service, not much attention to guest. We tried and went to the dining and see if we could have dinner using the welcome voucher that was given but sadly they were full and we were not properly attended. We left and scooted downtown instead. Paying this much money for a resort, they should atleast have bottles of water as complimentary or an ice tea would be a good treat. Some guests checks in at a later time so there should be night activities not just days but nothing. They have a pool session thing and when we came in we no longer could book it as one session is from 6-9pm which is the last one for the day. We were back at around 12mn and was tired from scootering nearby places. Nothing extraordinary in the rooms, not a bar even or a microwave. At 4.30am, we woke up to loud alarm caused by fire and we had to walk the emergency exist from the 8th floor to downstairs. We were so disturbed by it that continuing sleep was hard considering we got back again to the room thru the 8th floor levels of emergency exit. Damn. I know its healthy good to get these walks done but I never wanted to get into a hotel in some place expecting to do this. Anyway at around 11.05am, some housekeeping lady opened the room and asked what time we were checking out. I think that was very rude and unbecoming for a Marriot. The hotel didnt compensate us for the inconvenience including the fire incident as they claimed it was not their fault. Was it ours then? I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anybody and mostly for first time guest. Not good. Waste of money and time. Never again a Delta Marriot for Kelowna!
