Detailed Reviews
I had a generally positive experience at Prestige Beach House. The hotel's location was excellent, within walking distance to the main street, beach and city park. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a range of amenities like a coffee machine, fridge, microwave and even a sofa. The spacious balcony was a lovely touch, offering plenty of space to relax. The staff was friendly and very quick to respond to any requests or concerns. However, I did have one issue with housekeeping. They were overly eager to clean, and as a result, threw away some of my personal belongings. Specifically, a bag of straws I had brought from home disappeared, and two empty water bottles I left on the desk were discarded. The water bottles were not in the recycling bin or trash, but rather on the desk, clearly intended for reuse. The hotel has a water fountain for refilling bottles, and I had planned to use it. Housekeeping had no business throwing away my property, and I hope the hotel will address this issue. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its great location and comfortable rooms, but suggest that housekeeping be more mindful of guests' personal belongings.

Although there is no beach here and the hotel is actually on a busy road it is a good location close to the lakeside which is a great spot for an evening stroll. There are also a number of restaurants close by.
The reception were very helpful allowing us to check in early but check your bill as we were initially charged more for parking than had been quoted when we booked. This was rectified though.
The room is light with a balcony, unfortunately overlooking the busy road so not great for sitting outside. There were 2 big double beds and a desk area as well as a fridge. There was also a large shower but it took a good 5 mins for the water to get hot!
Overall a decent option for a nights stay and more character than a lot of the other chain hotels.

The location of the hotel is perfect to be able to walk around the boardwalk and through the downtown core of Kelowna.
I stayed 3 nights in a jetted tub queen suite, room was very clean when I entered. The shower how ever was very difficult to balance between molten lava hot and ice cold. I was obviously able to make due. The bed also seemed to be a bit broken in the middle creating a sort of sink hole affect. The soaker jetted tub was perfect, especially after a couple hikes in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Kelowna, especially in the summer months. I was there at the end of February.

Thank you for the review Devin, I am sorry to hear our water system had caused some issues during your stay and I have made sure our maintenance team is looking into it for future stays, and we have also been slowly cycling in our new beds for the upcoming seasons. Thank you for the kind words and we hope we get to enjoy your company again in the future. All the best. Tyler B Rooms division manager.

Hotel's Favourite
Very clean room, great staff, and excellent location for enjoying downtown. Indoor pool and hot tub were a nice break. The room had a mini fridge (for drinks and leftovers) and a microwave and single cup coffee maker (ask for extra coffee pouches). One side faces the main road through town and might be a little loud for some folks, the other side is on the alley (still a decent view). some rooms face the lake and the park. Parking cost $15 per night but is handy and fairly secure.

Hotel is right next to a six lane (very busy) road. If sleep is important to you, give this place a miss. I had a couple of zoom meetings scheduled one afternoon and first thing in the morning I requested that my room be cleaned by 12:30. I was assured it would be but when I returned at 1:00 it hadn’t been touched. No apology from front desk and no one wanting to take responsibility. First and last time staying here. Rant over.

This place was spotless, quiet and close to good food! The staff was so nice to all of us. And affordable as well. Most places that are affordable to the average income earner have rude staff and dirty facilities, this is not the case here.

Our stay at the Beach House Prestige in Downtown Kelowna was like our own little beachfront property in the dead of the coldest part of our Okanagan winter this year. The decor was subtle and tasteful. There were unique pieces in the room and it did not feel cookie cutter at all. The patio overlooks the road that leads to the bridge and the huge waterfront park. It was the perfect place to quietly people watch in the evening.
The linen is one of the best parts of any Prestige property, they're so crisp, clean and luxurious feeling. We've stayed at this property in the summer months too and the bedding is perfect regardless of the weather. The pillow are also very lush, and have that perfect soft and firm feel to them.
Definitely spend the extra and get one of their deluxe or designer king rooms, the baths in these rooms are a thing of beauty. They are standalone jet tubs that are not tucked into a corner or seperate room so you can hang out and enjoy the time with your partner. They are also immaculately clean and as they are a standalone unit, they are no corners for questionable grime to hide.
The staff is always the best here and go above and beyond to correct any issues we came across or fulfill any of our requests. And there knowledge and passion for the local community is evident in how they recommend and gush about the things to do during your stay.

I’m actually writing this while staying here right now. It’s incredibly dirty. I’ve washed my feet 3 times since checking in yesterday around 7pm. Immediately you get dirty again. I’m staying in the Beach Suite Cottage for $500 per night plus $7 per night for parking (which should be included like last year). Toilet stopped flushing and ran all night until my husband could fix it in the morning. I called to ask the floors to be cleaned this morning and said I would be out at 10. Conveniently when I came back to the room at noon the dirty towels were still there and the floor definitely was not cleaned. So I called the front desk again they brought towels and were like “we were just going to clean your floor” while my baby was screaming. So I declined them coming back. It’s insanely dirty. Also you get a lot of loud drunks at your window in the most expensive room in the place at 1am. Due to them placing a parking spot right at the master bedroom’s window.

House keeping was horrible. Beds not made. Old towels left in bottom of shower. This was the second time we stayed both times we got a phone call stating that the room was not as advertised and we were welcome to back out of our booking. I do have to say our first stay a year ago was much more comfortable so I wonder if new management came into play or just pure negligence

Dear calvinmE3248EL, Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We take your feedback seriously and looked into our housekeeping records for your stay. Our records show that your room was serviced and checked daily, except for three days when a "Do Not Disturb" sign was on your door. Our housekeeping team is not permitted to enter rooms with this sign displayed out of respect for your privacy. Additionally, housekeeping will not make the bed if personal items are left on it, as we want to respect your belongings. I apologize if this was not communicated clearly during your stay. I'm sorry to hear that your recent experience did not match your previous visit. We strive to maintain consistent service, and it's disappointing to know we fell short. We'll use your feedback to improve and ensure a better experience in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Sincerely, Lynnette Peter General Manager Prestige Beach House

For the price you pay, know you’re paying only for the location. We do an annual girls trip to Kelowna and decided to stay here instead of where we would normally stay. Concierge at check in seemed off, not sure if he was stressed or having a bad day, but the initial interaction wasn’t great. We went to run an errand before going to the room, so an hour later we got back to the hotel and actually walked into the first suite. The minute you open the door, the room smells like something died in it. At first, we thought it was maybe the garbage cans outside the room that have been sitting in +30° heat, but quickly figured out that wasn’t it. Since we couldn’t locate the source of the smell, I went down to the front desk to talk to the same concierge about it. He came up with us to check, confirmed the presence of the smell, and moved us across the hall. Although the original smell wasn’t an issue in the new room, we found over our three day stay that the bathroom would smell of sewer whether it was being used or not. My guess is the smell intensified the more people were using the bathrooms in their rooms. At this point we felt it was going to be more of a hassle than anything to move rooms so we didn’t say anything until we checked out. Our balcony light wouldn’t turn on. When I called down to the front desk the following night, I was told only some of the rooms had light switches and that they should all turn on. Ours didn’t and no one offered to change the bulb or anything. I get that it’s minor but as two females who wanted to sit outside late in the evening without having to deal with safety issues (a lot of heavy drug use in extremely close proximity to the hotel/beach/marina), not being able to fully utilise the balcony was a let down. Parking was charged on the last day, even though the concierge told me on the first day he was charging it (I paid in full upon check in). Lastly, the hotel does not provide breakfast. I’ve stayed at a number of BW Properties, so it seems odd considering I paid $1000 to stay at the hotel for three nights. We really wanted to love this hotel and will likely not stay here again.

Hello! The Prestige Beach House has a limited selection of rooms that directly face the park, however room 201 has a king bed, jetted tub, and is on the corner of the hotel so it faces the park and the highway. It's a big beautiful room!!
Alternatively, rooms 302 and 303 have the best views of the park and lake, however they only have a queen bed and a regular bath tub.
Suite 301 is the two bedroom suite. It is also on the corner so it has highway and park views, and includes a full kitchen, living room, and jet tub. Very nice big room if you have a group!
Have fun!
We are constantly upgrading our hotel and guest rooms. The last major renovation in rooms was 2012. I hope this helps.
