Hyatt Place Kelowna has earned acclaim for creating a tranquil atmosphere, offering modern, spacious rooms with thoughtful amenities that cater to both comfort and connectivity. Guests have consistently lauded the hotel's cleanliness and the professionalism of the staff, despite occasional mentions of service delays. While the hotel's central location is a hit for easy access to local attractions, some visitors have pointed out traffic noise.
The amenities, including a quality breakfast and pet-friendly options, are appreciated, although there have been comments regarding pool access and breakfast restocking. However, the value proposition is questioned by many travelers, who find the costs for parking, dining, and accommodation on the higher side.

My second stay here and both were nice. The hotel is clean and well maintained. It’s in a central location and easily accessible. Good Globalist recognition. Only downside is the road noise is a bit loud. Overall a great choice if looking to stay in Kelowna.

Hyatt Place continues its ability to deliver consistent top ten service and quality. We only stay at this hotel now because of the excellent quality that this level of hotel provides. The rooms are always immaculate and quiet from the sounds of other guests. The gym is well equipped and clean. The morning breakfast is getting better and better including adding new items (last visit it was Quiche).
I do want to add one more experience during this last visit. The highway was closed for about 6 hours and we did not know when it was going to be opened. When contacting the hotel 2 times before the road was opened, the reception was very helpful in trying to to help problem solve the situation. Reception tried to find alternative ways to get to Kelowna (since we had no internet service on the road). When we finally arrived Cedric was there to greet us with a complimentary food and beverage card. What a wonderful way to make weary travellers feel like they were coming back to their home away from home. Well done Hyatt, your team consistently surpasses high expectations!

I can't stop talking about how amazing my stay at the Hyatt Kelowna was. The hotel was so clean and modern and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The underground parking made me feel confident and safe to leave my car all day and over night. The room was stunning and so clean. I felt luxurious when being there. The bathroom was so nice and it had the best lighting because the mirror had a ring light around it. The bed was so comfortable and I had some of the best sleeps I've ever had. My room also had a really nice view and I enjoyed just laying in bed watching the world from my room. The TV was also so convenient because you could easily connect your phone and watch anything you want. And the breakfast was literally the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. It was just high quality and cooked so well. I highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Kelowna if you are looking to be impressed. And the prices are not that bad either.

The hotel was clean and simple. The restaurant/bar was more a bar with a few food items on it. It you’re looking for a wheelchair accessible room keep in mind that the beds in this hotel are those really high ones. If you’re traveling alone you’ll have to ask for them to take down some hangers as they ware out of reach, no lower spots. Again you’ll have to ask for towels to be made in reach. In the wheel in shower they use large dispensing bottles for soap/shampoo/conditioner and they are up very high. It was impossible to take them out or reach them. Toilet is too high to attach your cushioned one.

House keeping came early to our room and despite asking her to come back in an hour, she came back in 15 minutes and was trying to rush us. And confirmed she cannot come back later and it was basically a now or never situation and hence our room was cleaned. The breakfast was worse than expected. Not enough food were displayed and they were not tasty and fresh. I dont know you can go wrong with a simple scrambled egg but it was so tasteless and gross. The bread and bagels were also not fresh at and was very hard to chew on. The quantity of food did not match the number of guests and foods were not refilled. The mattresses were terrible and you would sink into the bed. Kelowna is a destination that most people drive too. When you sleep on such soft mattress it will give you bad back pain and makes it impossible to drive back safely. When we asked reception if they can offer a new mattress or mattress topper because i have back injury and need a good night sleep for my drive back, she laughed and said no. During our stay we were up all night tossing and turning. Despite the price point, the breakfast and overall quality of hotel was horrible.

The hotel has a good location and is probably quite new. It is clean and the fitness room is very good. That said, the hotel also charges premium prices for a less than premium experience. The room we selected was narrow and stuffed with the bedding. We had paid for a room with three bedding options and it was the smallest of such rooms I've seen before. When I inquired at the desk about the room, no alternatives were possible. The staff did follow up with a phone call, but the matter was moot as there were no alternative kinds of rooms. The bathroom door was a barndoor style door that was difficult to move and had a broken lock. Walls between rooms are thin enough that when the neighbouring suite turns on their hairdryer at midnight, you'll hear the whole process, along with their conversation. Parking was an additional charge, but you could get a discount if you gave your email, so a way to harvest emails for corporate purposes is built into the hotel's fees. The breakfast was very disappointing, featuring dry husks of potato and a pot of eggs you scooped out with a large spoon. Water sat in the bottom of the eggs, letting you know they were likely powdered. Either way, eggs should never be served in a pot in such a grossly mass-produced/ultra-produced fashion. In contrast, the three other hotels we stayed at on our vacation served better food, had better rooms, and all for hundreds less than the Hyatt Place Kelowna charges. We've stayed in similarly priced hotels in Canada and Europe, and never had such poor rooms and poor food at the price charged. If you need a chain hotel, much better exist for less, and if you want to stay in a boutique hotel, there must be better options in Kelowna.

Hello,
when we checked in, there were no parking spaces, because small cars and cars without passes, were parked in the lot. We informed the front desk, he said he would call a tow truck, however, there were no spaces the next day either. There needs to be an element of accountability enforced here, as we are paying $12.00/day for a spot, and there were none to be had.
When we checked in, the couch bed had no bedding, we requested a comforter, but only a think sheet was brought up, so we requested a comforter again. My sisters room, had a used floss pick on the floor and the shower drain was plugged with black hair (we each booked a room across from each other for our family weekend). We told the front desk, they did nothing.
The bathroom door was also very hard to open, my children got stuck in it many times, which scared them. There is no handle and it was really hard to pull out.
The breakfast was empty, no yogurt, no forks, no one monitoring the area.
When we went to take the kids to the pool, there was a group of people in the pool, dominating the entire space, blasting loud music, drinking alcohol and partying. They even broke a vodka bottle on the ground, and cleaned the alcohol and glass up with pool towels, so there was none left for the kids after swimming. We asked the front desk agent of alcohol was allowed at the pool, she replied with "you could put it in a different glass so that no one knew it was alcohol", we told her no, we did not want to drink alcohol, we wanted to know if the party at the pool was allowed. We told her that they had alcohol, loud music and were braking glass where the kids were walking to jump into the pool. She said that she would tell the manager, but no one ever did a thing about this. When we did check out, a group of 8 adults and 40 children, came in like a storm, screaming and running around, doing a scavenger hunt. The front desk lady was upset, and assumed they were with us, so she got mad at us, we explained that we were checking out and that they were not with us, she apologized. It was absolutely insane. My son was trying to get upstairs on the elevator, but he could not use the elevator, nor could multiple other guests, because the kids doing the scavenger hunt were all going up and down the elevators, pushing all of the buttons, and running up and down the halls. absolute craziness. My son has asthma, and he could not use the stairs without causing respiratory problems, he was very distressed.

The hotel is nice. Room is clean. I have stayed in 3* , 4*’s But here I dont felt like it matches the standards of a 3 star hotel. For example, Toilet blocked.asked for help .. a person came and handed over the toilet plunger to us to do it ourselves. No slippers in the room.. etc.. some of these things can be improved for better customer experience. .

Despite the wildfire travel ban for Kelowna, Hyatt simply debited the money without us being able to travel. We also canceled the room for Wednesday in writing on Monday after arriving in Vancouver. We were thanked for this, but the money was still debited from our credit card the following week. After several phone calls, the money was then refunded. We are now stuck with the credit card costs and the currency exchange loss. After a written complaint, we were turned away on the grounds that we had a three-day cancellation period and would only get the money back as a goodwill gesture from Hyatt due to the official travel ban.
Simply outrageous and therefore never again Hyatt!

Hyatt is one of our go to brand. So we are so happy to see a Hyatt property in Kelowna. Stayed 5 nights, the location is fantastic, only a few minute drive to downtown. Easy access to west Kelowna. The hotel is very modern and the rooms are clean. Since we have 2 little kids, we requested a room with bathtub which was available at check in. That room did face Spall road, we did not have issues with the road noise.
Front desk staffs were super nice during the entire stay.
The pool was clean, and nice.
Breakfast was included, and had good selections.
They do have coin laundry on site, $3.00 a wash and 3.00 for dryer.
Parking is underground which is nice on days it’s hot or rainy data’s. Cost is $12 daily, plenty of parking space.
However housekeeping service is offer every day 3rd night, it was more replenish supplies than housekeeping service which I could of done myself.
Other issue was the building was not secure. Anyone can access the underground parkade or any floors without a keycard.
Regardless, overall We enjoyed our stay, will return to the Hyatt Next time we are in Kelowna.

Dear 110verice, Thank you for your amazing and detailed review! I'm so pleased that Hyatt is your "go to" brand. You'll be happy to see upon your return to Kelowna that we have returned to offering our guests daily housekeeping service as the restrictions and personnel challenges have eased. In terms of security, we have now activated the locks in the evening to mitigate access to the hotel. We look forward to seeing you soon! Cedric
