The rooms are comfortable, clean and equipped with a beautiful mini kitchen. Front desk staff were friendly and professional. They provide breakfast with several basic options. Perfect for a light start to your day. This place far exceeds hotels I have stayed in with a four star rating. Would definitely choose Microtel again.
The location of this hotel is not good. Very hard to get to if coming in from North. It is located right beside VERY BUSY ROAD. If your room is on the road side, you are guaranteed NOT TO SLEEP. The breakfast area was very small and certainly did not conform to social distance rules. The rooms are very nice, clean and well furnished. Internet was awesome and great amenities in the bathroom. For the price, I would recommend another place not so close to a busy street.
It’s is a decent room. Comfy beds and good fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Clean place and check is was easy. The free breakfast is fine but limited (no protein options). The EV chargers weren’t working which was too bad. Central location. Would give 4.5 stars if it was an option.
Spacious room with modern design and very comfortable beds. Front desk staff, Jahanvi is professional and nice. She attended our concerns about the constant noise from Hwy and upgraded us to a quiet room on the other side of hwy. Thanks to Jahanvi. The hotel rooms facing the highway should be soundproofed. The breakfast choices were limited. It would be nice if including eggs in breakfast.
The Microtel is fine if you don’t plan to spend any time at all in your hotel. The rooms are cramped and very pricey when you realize you can’t really spend any time there at all and you are spending close to $300 for a bed. If that is all you need, it’s the place for you. There isn’t a lot of space for luggage, so pack very light. If your room is on the front of the building, be prepared for a lot of road noise. But the hotel is quite well located in the city, so getting to downtown, Vernon, wineries or the beach is pretty easy.
My wife and I recently made a 2-day booking for July 24 & 25, 2022 at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Kelowna BC. The trip was made to facilitate my undergoing an eye surgery procedure in Kelowna. When attending the pre-surgery screening appointment with the surgeon in his office on the morning of July 25th, I was informed that the condition had been corrected by previous drug therapy since my last appointment, and therefore the surgery was no longer required. Upon learning this we return to the Microtel Inn & Suites and asked the Front Desk Clerk if, under these circumstances and no longer needing to stay, could we cancel our second night and receive a refund. The clerk informed us we would have to speak to Bookings.com and have them communicate with the property manager. We immediately phoned Bookings.com customer service, explained our situation, and informed them that if it was possible to cancel, we would leave the hotel at once and return home, but if not possible, we would stay a second night and take advantage of making other plans rather than waste the expensive fee. The agent took all our information and said she would speak to the property manager re. a cancellation and refund. Approximately ½ hour later I went down to the front desk and asked the clerk if she had a call from bookings.com. She said yes, they had, and that we could cancel and not be charged for the second night's stay. I informed her we were packed and would like to check out immediately, and I asked her if she needed my credit card to apply the refund. She informed me she had my card on file and could do it without taking the card again. We left for home immediately expecting to see a refund processed later. As of July 28/22, we have received only the reversal of the $100.00 damage deposit but no refund for the second day, so we were charged CAD$531.28 for a one-night stay. This was despite both a chat message and an email to the property manager via Bookings.com requesting confirmation that we will be refunded for the second day as promised to us before we checked out early. Both messages have gone ignored with no response. As stated, If they had refused to refund us before we left Kelowna, we would have made use of the stay over with alternate plans but since they agreed to refund us we chose to return home. We expect Microtel Inn & Suites to honour their agreement with us and refund us the sum of CAD$265.64…
July 1st was our wedding day. In the morning the fire alarm went off for so long we were forced to leave our room and check out. Was hoping to have an easy morning but we had to leave and at 300 bucks for a July 1st night was a bit much for what we received
Great job in helping me on short notice! Nice clean rooms, and helpful staff. I was booked across the street at another hotel chain, but it was not acceptable. They took me in and got me set up right away!
The rooms should be soundproofed. Its very tough to sleep either day or night because of the constant noise from the highway. The breakfast should include more items for the given pricing of the hotel.
The front desk staff was professional, friendly, and very helpful. The room we stayed in was clean and well kept. Location is easy to find. Ample parking. Close to activities, shopping and, a lot of dining options.
