What a gem…such a pretty, quiet, well equipped little cottage in a gorgeous location. They are dog friendly so our pup really enjoyed exploring the area. Audrey and Steve are so welcoming and the little treat of Nanaimo bars was very thoughtful. Definitely recommend and hoping to return.

We loved this perfect little house in the country. Secluded and peaceful yet a 2 minute drive away from Nanaimo. It was clean, nicely decorated, functional, comfortable and everything we needed during our stay. Plus, it's pet friendly!

Thanks for the great stay!

Our family of 4 recently stayed in the cottage at Milestone Manor. We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is very comfortable and roomy. It had everything that we needed. Being a family that loves the outdoors, the surroundings were perfect. Just outside the city limits, it has a wonderful country atmosphere. At the same time, it is closet o everything, great hikes, recreation and any shopping required. The hosts were very nice, welcoming and accommodating. We hope to be able to return soon.

I was lucky enough to find this wonderful cottage & booked it for a business trip which had me in the area for approx 1 1/2 months. The cottage was the perfect little home away from home! I really enjoyed the quiet, country atmosphere, and I appreciated that the hosts were so friendly and inviting. They even went out of their way to make my hound feel like a welcomed guest as well! It was a wonderful and relaxing time... And the resident pooch was such a ham :)

My mom, brother and I took a trip for a special occasion in Nanaimo. My son and daughter-in-law found this wonderful B&B: Millstone Manor. Minutes from Nanaimo, the setting is so scenic, peaceful and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay: the hospitality, the cozy, clean accommodations, and the nummy breakfasts each day. It was the perfect get-away. It is a place we will stay again when we travel to 'the Island'.

My teenage daughter and I recently stayed for 2 nights at the lovely Millstone Manor. Steve and Audrey made our visit very comfortable and the food was terrific. The property is close to shopping and the Nanaimo amenities but very secluded and quiet. Would highly recommend and will be sure to stay with them again!

We stayed in the cottage for 3 days. I loved the 1950's seaside decor. The cottage had everything you could need for a for a comfortable stay, including a kitchen and the most comfortable king size bed I've ever slept in!
Set amongst beautiful countryside with the convenience of being close to shops and resturants.
We will definately stay again.

We stayed a whole month at the Cottage and had a fabulous time. Audrey, Steve and Briscoe were considerate hosts. We did as much, or as little as we wanted. The accommodation was clean and very well kitted out. If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask and it was done.
We would very happily stay again, and have recommended to our friends.

We visited Millstone Manor on the last leg of our 3 week holiday, crossing BC. We were all looking forward to it and were not disappointed. It’s tucked away in lovely wooded grounds with lots of wildlife and peace and quiet. We were in the Gatehouse which was beautifully decorated, very homely and comfortable. Steve and Audrey (our hosts) couldn’t have been more hospitable. There was home baking waiting for us and a lovely friendly Canadian welcome. We felt as though we were visiting old friends. We joined Audrey and Steve for a barbecue one evening. Niall still says Steve’s bbq seasoning was the best he’s ever tasted. Steve let the girls “help him” drive the tractor – which they still talk about. He also put up rope swings for the girls which was “the best fun”. Nothing was too much trouble. After travelling for 2 weeks it was wonderful to relax and just let the girls explore. Audrey packed a picnic lunch for us which was yummy – even my fussiest daughter enjoyed it which is definitely high praise. Audrey’s home baking was delivered every day sometimes straight from the oven. Glorious! Brisco the dog was a firm favourite with us. He is a big friendly black lab who loves everyone. There was plenty of information in the Gatehouse about what to see and do on the island. We were fortunate to have mentioned to Audrey that we wanted to go whale watching. The next day she had some information for us about a small whale watching company in Cowichan Bay called Oceanecoventures. We went out to see the whales in the evening which seems to be the best time to spot them. Got wonderful photos and had a memorable trip. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millstone Manor and highly recommend it. The only low point was when we had to leave this little piece of paradise. Hope one day to return – sooner rather than later.
Thank you Steve, Audrey and Brisco for such a fabulous stay

The rental is a stand alone cottage with all the necessities that one needs. It is coupled with a peaceful ... "at the end of the road" location that only adds to the ambiance.

Audrey and Steve were great hosts who provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the local area. This was the perfect place for our anniversary get away
