Great location just a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The super friendly owner greeted us. No AC but with open window and fans we had a great sleep. Bed was really comfy and HD TV and wifi worked great. Walked to the bar on the water near the ferry for dinner.

We stayed in room 201 for 3 nights and were sad to leave. It's a superior room but worth paying the extra for the additional living space and separate kitchen. As readers we were impressed with the interesting books scattered around. There's a nice walk into Nanaimo which starts close by. The property is right on the road but that...

Thanks John for having stayed with us and for your review. Really happy to read that you enjoyed our Fireplace Suite. It is more spacious and roomy than our other suites and affords you enough room to spread your stuff out, relax and get comfy. The wood burning fireplace really adds to the ambiance in the winter months. And the...

Stayed a short 2 nights at Buccaneer Inn. Was lucky to check in early as my room, number 101, was ready. Check in was friendly and fast. Room cosy, but fine for two. Nice size TV, as well as a microwave and fridge. Comfortable bed with duvet. Room had a ceiling fan and upright fan to ensure good air flow....

The Inn is a very nicely located and clean family owned motel. The owners were friendly and helpful in suggesting places to see and accommodating our special requests. There in no elevator and a few stairs to climb even for the ground floor units.

Ended up in Nanaimo rather than Victoria on Vancouver Island ! However great simple accommodation. Very friendly , helpful hosts. Quiet even though on main road. Very comfortable beds Just down road from ferry . Nanaimo bit of a ghost town😬

We were in Room 107 and regret that we did not have more time there because it had a private deck, which would have been nice to have hung out there after dinner or to have had coffee and pastries in the morning. I was a little wary when I first saw the hotel because it was so small and...

Dear traveling-family-o-4, Thank you so much for your patronage and lovely review. Marlene is blushing from your kind comments. Thanks for noting that our rooms are immaculate. We take great pride in offering spotlessly clean rooms. We think you’re spot on about our Patio Studio and feel it is one of the best values in Nanaimo. It is a compact...

We were in Nanaimo for one night and stayed at The Buccaneer Inn. The pre information was great. The owners kept us apprised of the check in conditions via email well in advance of our arrival and we were aware of the fact that there was no staff after a certain hour. We arrived and were treated by friendly front...

We were warmly greeted when we arrived and soon checked in ok. When it was discovered that we had two suitcases we were quickly given another room with less stairs to go up - which was very much appreciated. As we had given back our hire car we were without transport for an evening meal and were given directions for...

Very well kept. Very clean. The owner even let me use the commercial washer and dryer later than should would normally just to help me out. She was very nice. The view from my place of the water and boats is amazing, I think they have an amazing location and are very lucky.

Hi Rick T, We very much agree about the view. After 21 years of operating The Buccaneer Inn we still watch the boats go by, the eagles fishing in the Channel and the ferry coming and going. We do indeed feel very lucky to be here. Thanks for your patronage and for letting other TripAdvisor members know of your experience...

I was greeted warmly by Marlene at the front desk in the office and she was a warm friendly face after a tiring day of travelling. Very quickly I had the key to my suite and found it nice and cool on a warm summer day with fans going and the windows open. I had requested an early check-in which...
