We stayed one night recently while visiting my brother-in-law. It was our second visit in 2017 and our positive first impressions were confirmed the second time around. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. And front desk staff have always been welcoming and helpful. The only glitch has been with the cable tv. On both visits the cable tv...

Thank you Anaco_Angler for your wonderful review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. The rooms are indeed nice and bright with the renovations we did in the last year, and it is nice to know our guests appreciate it. I'm glad we were able to correct your TV issues right away. They are generally pretty...

I picked this property as I needed to spend a day around north Nanaimo area. It was off peak so I did not have to spend too much. I arrived early and the receptionist asked me very nicely, to return in 45 minutes so that they can finish cleaning my room (this was still earlier than the actual check-in time...

Thank you Sandra C for taking the time to share your thoughts on our Inn. While we certainly do our best to get even early arrivals in right away, sometimes there will be a bit of a wait. I am glad we could offer some suggestions to fill your time until Housekeeping was able to prepare the room. I am...

We spent 2 nights at the Inn at Long Lake and highly recommend it. The hotel is clean and up to date with each unit having a wonderful view of the lake. We stayed with our 2 kids and dog so the continental breakfast was helpful and the pet-friendly aspect was definitely appreciated. Above all was the friendliness of the...

We stayed for 4 days over Xmas while visiting family. It was a perfect base to return to for the occasional respite from the clamour of family activity. We had a 2-room suite (at about $250 per night incl. tax) and it was large, well-equipped and clean. The breakfast was more than just a continental spread, with hard-boiled eggs and...

Thank you Dave F for the wonderful review. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay over Christmas. I agree that we need to add a little more "design" in the suites, and are currently sourcing some additional artwork to decorate it a little better, as after our renovation we are left with a couple of "bare" looking walls. I...

We only spent one night here and loved it. The room was clean and had the amenities...micro, fridge and coffee maker. The continental breakfast was good. Had the basics of cold hard boiled eggs, cereal and danishes but the only hot item was toast as the waffle maker was broken. The only reason I gave this a 4 star was...

Thank you sharonaw979 for your wonderful review. I am very happy to let you know we have our waffle maker fixed (and have a backup ready to roll too). That shouldn't be an issue again anytime soon. Our ground floor rooms definitely work very nicely with pets, especially one that wants to go out that often. It is something that...

We stayed there for three nights. We got a family suite as there were five adults and a baby. Lots of room and nice view of the lake. Came with free breakfast and had all the usual. Toast, eggs, waffles, cereal and fruit. Over all a nice place to stay.

Thank you GummyStewart for your review. I am glad that you enjoyed the Family suite-they do work well for larger groups like yours. The separate bedroom gives some privacy and space, and I personally think the kitchens are wonderful now, with the large fridge/freezer, and the glass top range. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit to...

We recently spent two nights at this hotel and it was a VERY pleasant experience. The entire staff was extremely friendly and ....they really do love dogs. We had a ground floor room that opened right out onto the grass around the lake which was very convenient. If you are travelling with your pooch on the island, we would highly...
