Stayed in one-bedroom suite second floor with small kitchenette. Great big balcony, comfy furniture and bed, very clean, friendly staff. Appreciated the breakfast boxes for pick up in the lobby (instead of continental breakfast buffet due to Covid). Feels a little like a cozy spot in the midst of the bustle - near the highway but off on its own with lovely grass and lakefront. Found a great little park/walking path along the south/east side of the lake.
The rooms at The Inn On Long Lake are particularly enjoyable because, on a hot day, you can open your door to the hallway outside---which is an open air hallway---as well as your window and get lots of fresh air. The room is spacious, has a nice sized mini-fridge, as well as a microwave. I was concerned the beds were a bit soft for my preference....but they turned out fine. Very friendly service. And a gorgeous view of the lake. They also allow dogs....and a first floor room connects you directly to the hotel yard.
Overnight stay on our way up island. We travel with a dog and being able to access our room without going through the lobby was a treat. Our room was on the ground floor so being able to access the grassy area & walking path directly from the patio door was a big bonus! The dog wasn’t stressed out and it was lovely to sit on the patio for morning coffee. Staff were helpful at check-in and the room was clean. Lots of room in the parking lot to park our vehicle with boat in tow. Only downside for me was the bed was a bit soft for my liking.
We stayed at The Inn on Long Lake in Nanaimo, during August of 2020. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and beautifully furnished, and well maintained. There was a lot of little touches- wine glasses in the room, a spacious fridge/freezer, in-room coffee maker, snack boxes for breakfast with fresh muffins, yogurt, fruit salad, and more. Beautiful view of Long Lake from our balcony, Canada Geese swimming nearby, dog friendly, and lots of convenient shopping minutes away. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend to family and friends.
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for one night in July. From the outside it doesn’t look like much, but when you get in the room you can tell that the kitchen area and bathrooms have been renovated. The kitchen has a microwave. The furniture is a little bit dated, but the amazing view makes up for it. Our room had a beautiful view of the lake. Unfortunately when we were there the water activities were not available due to COVID-19. The staff are extremely helpful, professional and friendly. The breakfast room was closed due to COVID-19 and they had boxed breakfasts to go with muffins, fruit cups, Mandarin oranges, yogurt, and juice boxes. It’s just a short 15 minute drive from the ferry terminal, right on the main highway.
