Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for a few nights while we visited the Nanaimo area. The area is kinda sketchy but the hotel itself is very new and well built. They have ample underground secure parking. Our room was the "kitchenette with king bed" version.
The room was very spacious and batroom very clean. We used the kitchenette to make coffee and breakfast.
The only issue we has was that tey really should give you a sofa or couple of easy chairs and maybe even a table with a couple chairs that you could sit at and eat a meal at. the table we had in our room was really only suitable for one erson to sit at and have a cup of coffee.
Based on the above, I'd have to say that the room is overpriced by about 20-25%.

The hotel itself is very new and clean is stylish. The room I was in was small. The bed was comfortable and it was adequate for my purposes. There is a microwave and small fridge for your use but no coffee maker. Room comes supplied with a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. The bathroom has automatic lights which tuned on by themselves with no one in the bathroom which was annoying and random. The bathroom has a shower stall as opposed to a tub. There are USB ports available for charging your devices. Wifi is included with the room. The staff is helpful and friendly. Heaven help you if you get hungry though. They have a restaurant that says opening soon on it and a single out of service vending machine. The front desk will bring you bottled water, however. My room overlooked a daycare that looks like a gerbil cage. Overall my stay was adequate.

This is my second time around in this hotel. Our room is modern and bright with big windows. There is a shower but no bathtub. Last time here there was no restaurant and now there is one that is open for split shifts breakfast and lunch. There still is an empty vending machine that hasn’t been filled so any food or drink you need in the evening will need to be ordered in. Underground parking is available but in short supply. It is first come, first served and you are informed upon arrival that street parking is free between 6pm and 9am. I did have the best sleep of my trip in this hotel. Overall it is an adequate hotel that is conveniently located for my purposes and I would stay here again. Please fill your vending machine!

I've stayed here twice before and had good experiences. This last time however, I was not as impressed. First of all, I went straight to the front desk to reserve instead of reserving ahead of time. I wanted two rooms and was offered two kings. When I said I only needed queens (which are cheaper), the guy said he only had 1 queen. He did offer to charge the queen rate for the king room though which was nice. However, the nightly rate he quoted was $60 per room more than what Expedia was quoting. Also, expedia had 2 queens which he said he didn't have. When I mentioned that, he wouldn't just match the rate, instead he made me go to the couch in the lobby and book it myself through Expedia on my phone. I was very tired and drained as I had been visiting a terminally ill friend in hospital all that day/evening. I have never had a hotel not match a third party rate before and felt that he was just trying to make it difficult for me. Finally, the bathroom light in my room kept coming on throughout the night which was not conducive to a good nights sleep.

Wasn't expecting much based on the room rate, but was very pleasantly surprised. Modern, new or recently refurbished, spotlessly clean, centrally located, value for money. Comp drip coffee (incl decaf) 24/7 avail in reception. The receptionist Ankush was very professional and efficient. Not once did I see him on his cellphone, he was always present, waiting to help anyone that came into reception. (impressive in this day & age 😏) Very comfortable stay, thank you.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a very new hotel, but it is quickly showing wear due to poor housekeeping. When I arrived in the room, the vinyl plank floors throughout the room were sticky - to the point that I chose to keep my shoes on. There were sticky and oily spots on the desk top as well. I asked the front desk if they could have housekeeping clean the floors while I was out for dinner or if I could be moved to another room. The desk attendant said he would clean the floors while I was out. On my return, I could tell that he had made an attempt to clean the floors, but they were still too sticky to remove my shoes. The bed mattress was comfortable, but the bed frame was twisted and did not sit level on the floor (tippy like a teeter-totter). Some hair observed in the bed linens on arrival (I'm normally not fussy enough to look for that, but I was on alert after seeing the floor/desk cleanliness). The area where the hotel is located is a bit seedy as well. I would not stay at this property again.

We decided to give this hotel a try as it's fairly new and close to the historic area of Nanaimo. The check in experience was great and the front desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. We found a spot under the hotel to park in which was good considering this looks like a bit of a rough neighbourhood. It is an easy walk to a couple of the best restaurants in the city - Asteras Greek and La Stella Italian, both on Wesley Street. Our room was a little cold and was sparsey furnished but we found the bed to be very comfortable. Good place to stay for a night.

New hotel, which was nice but that was the only positive. We had no hot water for 2 days, they moved us to a different room which was an inconvenience. When asked if we could be compensated due to the inconvenience is was a flat out NO because we were upgraded to a king size bed. We never asked for an upgrade, that’s the only thing that was offered because of no hot water.

This hotel has the potential to be very good, but was let down by very poor standard of housekeeping. On the plus side: very new hotel, nice simple modern decor. Comfortable bed. Great little kitchenette with a bare minimum of dishes etc, but it was enough for what I needed. Good secure parking under the hotel, I always found a spot but if you come back late you could be out of luck. Friendly helpful staff. They don’t clean unless you ask them to, so no waste on unnecessary sheet and towel changes.
Negatives: for a brand new hotel, it was not well cleaned. The floors were unswept and unhoovered the whole time I was there, even after I specifically asked for it to be addressed. In fact that day I came back to a vile clump of hair in the entry way. The shower and toilet were not cleaned even when I asked them specifically to do that too. Stray hairs everywhere, not mine. Dirty skirting boards. I paid quite a lot for my stay, and did feel the service level had been quite poor. Neighbourhood can be a bit sketchy at night as well.
