2nd night of staying here, I had huge bites on my neck and ear. I actually saw a bed bug and took a picture of it. Tried to report it to management and they were not open in the morning so I went after work to tell them. They said that If I had reported it in the morning, they could have rented out the suite in evening. They refunded only 1 night of stay and were not at all empathic about the suffering I went through especially with having to dryclean my clothes and throwing away my bags.

My manager notified me regarding your complaint the day after you checked out. She said you showed her a picture of a sheet on your phone, but no bites on body or face. She moved you to another room immediately and offered a discount. She called the exterminator the following day. Please be assured that our property is serviced monthly by professional pest control company as a preventative measure. Further more all our beds are protected by bed-bug protective covers. The management and pest control company found no evidence of your claim! The guests prior to your stay and recent guests after your stay in the same room had no complaints nor did they have any issues with bed bug. We take every claim very serious and we continue to monitor our property throughout. Unfortunately, I feel that your motivation was mostly monetary.

So I almost got a divorce over this booking! Small window unit ac that couldn't quite cool the room. Hairs in the clean towels. Stains on the mattresses (yes my wife checks under the sheets). And a cloth chair that looks like someone mistook for the toilet. Pretty sketchy! If cleanliness is your thing, choose another. Bad news is all hotels we saw on Nanaimo looked about this bad, at least outwardly.

Cheap and usable. But in pretty poor condition. But what do you expect for the price? Smoke drifted up into our room from other units. Was a bit noisy.
I would stay here again if I wanted to save money for a place to crash. However that is it.

We booked a suite to stay in for 10 days where we could be comfortable for that long. We checked in and went to look at the suite and were shocked. It was in terrible shape - the furniture was so old that it was sagging and dirty, there were rips in the fabric on the back of the couch and chair arms, the kitchen needed a good clean, the walls were scarred and stained. The bedroom walls and ceiling were in terrible shape, old scars, damage, needed new dry wall and paint. The flooring was old and so worn the pattern was worn off. We went and asked for a different room. This one you could see they had tried to update with new flooring and bathroom sink. However, the tap in the tub was broken and would not control a stable temperature of water, and once it was turned on, you had to push the screw in the middle of the tap to shut the water off. The AC was excessively noisy and ineffective so it had to be set on high to get any kind of air flow. And you cannot open the window for air because the entire lower level of rooms have ashtrays outside their doors where people smoke and as soon as the door or window is open, smoke comes in. Any time we left our room to go anywhere, we had to walk through smoke smells where either people were smoking at the time, or had recently been smoking so could smell the dirty ashtrays. The lamp between the beds had some kind of short in it because it would go on and off by itself, and we had to jiggle the table to get it to come back on - we checked for loose bulb or plug. The beds are very old and one side was higher than the other. All in all, we were very uncomfortable and disappointed so checked out early. We will not go back This motel needs a major face lift and it certainly needs new smoking rules, or they need to warn people that there will be dealing with smoke by everyone, including staff.

If you value your health and safety, don't stay here. Logistically this place was my best option (had very early appointment next morning). Room was pretty gross. Awoken in middle of the night to group of people loudly partying outside. Two men actually attempted to get into my room! Had I not been so tired from travelling, I would have left and found alternative accommodation. I would be willing to bet that this place rents not only by the hour but also month-to-month to the local riffraff. Yikes.

Very very affordable an convenient. Friendly owner/manager met all of our needs. Great sized rooms an very cozy an relaxing. Great little Indian restaurant located right next door. Just a brief walk from the bus stops. Look forward to staying again.

I would never stay at this place ever again. Upon checking in we had comments made to us about whether or not we smoked. I had mentioned that I did not smoke. The check in lady insisted that someone in our vehicle smoked, and that she could smell cigarettes on us. None of us smoked. And as if that comment wasn't enough, she asked that we don't party in the rooms. We don't drink or party. I imagine that this treatment was because we are first nations, the lady is just racist. And once we checked in, we got to the tiny room with a dirty washroom. It was unpleasant to say the least. At the time, we were travelling with a large group, and the two other families wanting to check in were told there were no vacancies and turned away.
Worst stay.Definitely not worth any of my money. I would caution anyone else from staying here.

Many deficiencies on the room; 1) tear in bottom sheet of one bed 2) bed bugs in one bed 3) cold water tap of tub broken so took 15 mins to turn it off at 4:30 in the morning 4) bathroom sink was plugged so the water backed up when using this sink Had to check out early to catch the ferry so wrote a note to the management requesting refund for this room due to the above conditions. This was a week ago and still no response ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING ROOM.

I can not believe how the pictures are misleading on here because it is not at all like them. The room was not very clean there was pee and hair on the toilet, fridge had crumbs in it, move the couch to plug phone in and there is crumbs and garbage, drawings on the wall. The room has new floors but everything else is falling apart! There comforter had rips in it! ALOT of holes in the walls and paint peeling. I will not stay here ever again!

Rooms were ok large and Recently reno'd. One of us was sure her sheets were not clean. Building was gross. Bulging ashtrays out side our rooms. Smell of Marijuana everywhere and chain smoking incompetent Inn keeper. Go somewhere else.
