Detailed Reviews
We would recommend this hotel. We were very happy with our two night stay. The staff was wonderful. We were very happy with the effort they made to please us -- from answering our questions while making reservations through checking in and housekeeping service.
There is construction in the area at the moment with trains in the yard next door to add to the noise, so if you are a light sleeper, this might not be the place for you. We found it a very nice place to stay with very reasonable prices compared to other hotels in or near Vancouver.
We reserved an accessible room. It had one of the best roll-in showers we have seen. The room was designed for wheelchair users with light switches, towel racks, and grab bars all low. The grab bars in the shower were a bit low for my husband, who uses a walker for mobility, but is able to stand in the shower with the support of a grab bar.

Hotel's Favourite
We booked for a “way after wedding party”. Our daughter picked the Inn after researching several locations in Vancouver. Your event organizing team was superb, attentive and helpful from the very start of the process. We paid a couple of visits to the inn to look at the facilities and met various members of the team. You’re fortunate to have such well-trained ,informative and helpful staff.
On the day itself( I think her name was Shaylene )was incredibly helpful, even blowing up balloons & organizing the event space.
I travel frequently for business and medical conventions at some of the highest end hotels in Canada. I was expecting a “rubber chicken” buffet I was impressed by the high-quality of your catering. It equalled or exceeded similar events I have attended at the Fairmont, Four seasons , Wall centre, Sutton etc. The late snack buffet was also of high quality , delicious with varied offerings ,including mussels.
Your rooms were clean and comfortable with furniture that matched the nautical theme. The location is superb.
I would also like to thank the bar staff at the reception itself, who were pleasant and helpful.
Your staff are well trained. They frequently went the extra mile. When we arrived the rooms were ready for the other members of the party, but not for ours (father and mother of the bride), the receptionist personally went and checked on the progress for our room and hurried up housekeeping. Similarly when our daughter thought she left charging wires in the room ,she sent someone up to do a thorough search.
The location is superb, the meeting space ideal with the bonus of the wraparound outside balcony.
So kudos to yourself and all your staff. We would certainly recommend the hotel for similar events. Your facilities and attentiveness contributed to a wonderful family and social event.

Just a heads up because we love the hotel… We stayed last summer for about 2 months after a fire in our home, so we’re quite familiar with the hotel. This time we only needed accommodations for one night so we called the reservation service and were quoted $287 for one night. We were offered no discounts, so it was too expensive, and actually excessive, in comparison to other hotels in the area. However we like Inn at The Quay, so called reception directly. They quoted $173 for the night. Had we not called and been treated in a friendly manner (as usual), we would not have stayed. We won’t call the reservation line again. Great staff, great service, and had a wonderful winter evening reading by the fireplace in the lobby.

Horrific lack of security. I gat back around midnight having visited family and friends. There was no-one at the front desk and I could hear no sounds. Maybe there was a security camera but I could not see one. Further, I am used to needing to apply a keycard in the lift to get to any accommodation but this does not happen. As a solo female traveller, I felt very vulnerable as anyone could have walked in and arrive outside my room door.
The hotel purports to care about the environment but the coffee facilities are dreadful. Each coffee bag is in a massive plastic-like bag. The coffee bag sits in an enormous plastic container (I have never seen one so large before in all my travels). This is then thrown away and a new one used each time. Surely the container should be stronger and reusable which is what I am used to.
Great view and comfortable bed

Thank you Anita for your review. The Inn at the Quay is staffed 24/7 plus we have a security guard on site from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. The Night Auditor works from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am. Harj or Calin may have been behind the front desk printing a report. We also have security cameras that cover 100% of the hotel, both inside and out. I hope we have the opportunity of welcoming you back to the Inn at the Quay in the future. Enjoy your travels.

Booked here rather than our usual place - looked good and we wanted a treat. It is a bit inconvenient to get to the hotel but nothing huge. On check in the staff was abrupt and not very friendly. Parking costs extra but is very handy. On initial look we were impressed. The room was small but nicely appointed. Had a small balcony looking northeast. TV was huge - too big for the room. The beds were comfortable. there was no meal plan so next morning we ate locally for breakfast. In this area it was not cheap. We were out until mid afternoon. Returning, the room was not tidied. So, went for a walk. Still not done. Went for a drink. Still not done. It is now 5 PM. My wife went to the desk. She was told in a dismissive fashion that “of course they did not do the rooms during COVID “. When asked about needing toilet paper, coffee refills, towels etc she was dismissed and told she could take some back to the room. The staff was the same one who checked me in the day before. When asked why we were not told about no housekeeping services she did not seem at all concerned and said everyone should know. This after some restrictions had been lifted. The other annoying feature was the construction just a block or so from the hotel. Started at 8AM and ended late afternoon. These are not major issues but when you are paying over $200 per night you expect better. We would not consider staying here again.

We think of the Inn as our home away from home and are welcomed on each visit. This time, my husband Bob was celebrating his birthday and the staff had a gift from the hotel with his name on it when we checked in. What a welcome and unexpected surprise! The Inn is accessible with accessible showers so it is perfect for me and my husband loves the Inn for its welcoming staff.

I booked a Queen room overlooking the river and was mesmerized by the river and all the boats going by. I sat near the window and was lulled into a peaceful state of mind (it was raining and cold or i would have enjoyed the deck). The bed was comfy, bed linen crisp and white, the towels fluffy and even for a Friday night, it was blissfully quiet. I fully enjoyed my stay! I will go there again and again, my new favorite hotel !

A great spot for our recent reunion group to stay. The hotel is very clean. Rooms are nicely appointed and staff is friendly and efficient.
The best part is the hotel's convenient location to other amenities as: many popular restaurants, pubs, stores, riverfront walk ( there is a children's playground on the quay), and New Westminster Skytrain Station! I recommend especially for group events.
"The Boathouse" restaurant is on site and was appreciated for the quality of food and service.

My daughter and family stayed for 2 nights and Erin at reservations was so accommodating to them She got a quiet room over looking the water and got them a play and pack for her 1 yr old had 2 beds for her and husband and 3 yr old. Erin also got them a microwave in the room at no charge as well. Yvonne let them in their room early as their room was ready and they asked the night before could they get a late checkout at 1. We all went for brunch at Angelina's which was excellent as well and a 10% discount. My husband and I live on the Quay so it was so convenient just to walk down the boardwalk to visit. Thanks again to all the staff!!!! Sherrie-Dee

Parking is $11 per night + $2.86 in taxes. This is Canadian funds. We look forward to welcoming you to the Inn at the Quay.
I visited the hot tub (with close-by sauna) on a couple occasions (November 2018). Very clean and pleasant. I was by myself on both occasions. I can envision in busy season that the hot tub/sauna area could get easily filled up. In nice weather you can easily access a deck that overlooks the Fraser River/Riverwalk and adjacent areas. The Inn at the Quay is a very comfortable hotel.
Yes we offer BCAA discounts subject to availability of rooms
No laundry facilities that I am aware of? Phone the hotel as they can advise you of any local laundromats in the area. Location is very good for travelling around this area.
