Never ever will we stay here again..... these are a bunch of cheats... I don't believe they have any repeat customer at all.... on the phone, they said we will give you voucher for parking, after they gave it, add $15 on the bill.... we asked if we could come 1-2 hours earlier tham the specified 3:00pm check in time, they said "Sure"... then added $10 on the bill.... they NEVER discuss these charges when you call them. Besides they are right besides a very busy train station, and the windows they have blocks no noise at all. Never ever again!!

Super sketchy neighborhood with homeless and drug users just outside the door. Room was dirty with dust everywhere and everything was super old. I would not stay here again. Front office was nice and helpful.

The location is perfect - right on top of a metro station with trains that brings you to the center of Vancouver in just over 20 min. The room we got had a nice view, it was large and had good beds. The bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was great. Good WIFI. The airconditioner made quite a lot of noise, so we opted for using the fan in the ceiling which was fine. There is no real lobby, but very nice seating areas on each floor outside the rooms. Parking was very easy. The entrance was not obvious when we arrived by car, so I first endes up in the loquor store at the bar entrance. The restaurant/bar however was quite nice, with outdoor seating in the back.

This hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit further out from downtown Vancouver but is a 40 minute train ride to Canada Place, for example. Driving a car is only 5 minutes less but good luck finding decently priced parking. The rooms are decent however dated. There is parking near but you can get a pass from the hotel for a daily rate of about $15/day including taxes. The location is right next to the Columbia Sky Train station and unlike others that have posted that the train is noisy, I disagree unless you are such a light sleeper that car noise would wake you. Our room faced the station and we were on the third floor.

So the main idea of this hotel is to have the old Victorian style looking hotel while still having modern features. Yes they have the Victorian style, but it still has old features. They use keys instead of cards. And just a note, they only have one key, so if you forget one of your keys in the room, you have to talk to the manager to get your key (they scan your legal documents so I don't think you have to pay). Another thing is that the doors are locked in the evening, even though there is a night manager. I don't understand this. Something I like though is that the location is very convenient due to it being right beside the Columbia Station (the metro). The shower was so confusing. I understand it is a hotel shower, but it makes no sense to use at all. Although if you do get a stay at the hotel, you get a 15% discount at the Met Bar & Grill. The walls are also really dirty.

An absolute dump, not clean, old & musty. Would not under any circumstance recommend. Defintely not as advertised and not clean. The walls. carpets and bathroom all unclean and a nice dirty towel from the last guest was left behind. I did get a refund and would not recommend this place ever.

What a cute hotel. Our king room on the 4th floor was spacious, very clean, with a great view. There are drawbacks that would stop me staying here again. There is no where to park to unload luggage as the road outside is a bus stop - and the bus stops regularly. The parking was offsite in a public carpark at a CAN$15pn cost. Having a room on a busy road did mean a lot of noise but Reception said a room facing the back would be even noisier due to a train and he did promise a great view. We were very happy with our stay. I would have given 4 stars except for the two factors I’ve mentioned.

Stayed here 2 nights. Love the location, close to little shops and great places for food and near the Boardwalk. The room was spacious and clean. I love the historical feel to it. The staff was courteous and helpful.

Is NOT PET FREINDLY! Seeing people getting SHAFTED into single bed rooms instead of the reserved KING bed rooms Plus had my best friend DENIED after calling 2 days ago asking if a support cat was allowed, only to be TOTALLY DENIED when he showed up on their HONEYMOON as they were MARRIED at noon yesterday! If this is the way YOU THE HOTEL treat customers, I've just canceled my booking for a month from now... you can keep the empty room, I'll go somewhere else with this attitude!

Was a nice stay until one of the hotel staff gave away my credit card info to someone in Britain and the US. Got charged $160 and it had to have come from the hotel because I had no previous charges on my credit card. I will not be staying here again and would not recommend it to anyone.
