It's hard to find a room at a decent price on a busy weekend in Vancouver, but the Met Hotel sure worked for us. Nice, big, CLEAN room with a decent bed, right next door to the Columbia Skytrain station (downtown is about 1/2 hour away). We had a rental car (drove up from SeaTac) for the weekend, and easily...

Picked The Met for price and location, both were perfect for needs and budget. Our room was at the back of the hotel so it was a bit dark as the buildings behind block a lot of the light. To say the hotel could do with a makeover is an understatement, but it was clean, convenient, the beds were comfortable...

Stayed for one night recently. Hotel is located in the riverfront area of the city. Parking is an extra $10 per night in a parking lot across the street. Check-in was easy. We selected a room facing the front of the building as the light rail line is immediately behind the building. My wife stayed in a room on the...

This hotel is best described as budget or "You get what you pay for." Perhaps we lucked out with a river-facing room on the top floor which lifts our rating to average. While it certainly wasn't a quiet stay, it was tolerable and the window-mounted AC unit was able to drown out most of the street noise. We've been to...

The Location and the prices are very attractive. However the Metro train line is very noisy at night , having a good night sleep is not possible. Try to avoid rooms adjacent to the Metro Line.Easy access to transport .

A nice little hotel in down town New West. I think this place dates back to the 1890's so lots of character. Well done upgrades, great price, and at the center of everything. The river walk/park is just across the street past the parking lot, and the Sky train next door. That might be a problem for light sleepers so...

Great time in Vancouver, stayed at the Met Hotel, which had great old charm feel. Staff were always very helpful and skytrain (which is awesome) was right there. We had to leave a day early and the Hotel was kind enough to give us the one night charge back even though we did not ask for it. Great water view...

Room was awesome, great views, river front. Walking on the board walk..Shopping, dinner and many cool stores to look in... Great craftsman and boutique shops... Army and Navy store on the main street... Outside patio, great food and prices.... Pull tabs, won a hundred dollars there.... Will be back for sure.

I stayed at the Met for 2 nights on business. It's an old property, so rooms are a bit small and there are few AC outlets. I used the extension cord for the coffee maker to plug in my laptop at the desk. Sound dampening is so-so, and noisy neighbours were audible. Location is right next to the Columbia Skytrain...

We were in Vancouver to see a hockey game and didn't want to spend a lot of money on accommodation when we would be in the room so little. With the sky train station a few doors away, the met was a great location (especially carrying sleeping kids home from the train). Great price and good location, don't expect anything...
