Stayed here after the 3N1GMATIC Music Festival in Penticton with my bandmates. Front desk was super friendly and accommodating, prepping the room early so we could check in ahead of the usual time and unwind after the 4.5 hour drive. Got hooked up with a great rate and were pleasantly surprised by individual beds for each member. Very cute retro aesthetic with a full kitchen. 10/10 recommend.

Perfect for families with kids! This place was wonderful in so many ways! Some people would say it was woefully out dated but I would say it is charmingly retro. I adored the older ambience of the room but I’m in my 40’s. It made me feel so much at home as it reminded me of my childhood with its old stove, retro furniture and pictures and furniture style. I loved that about this place. We were lucky to have a room on the main floor by the pool which had an amazing green space for kids to play just beside the pool and a lovely covered out door area with three large barbecues and spacious and modern outdoor cooking area. Lots of tables and chairs for seating and they even had live music for a couple hours under the seating area. Lots of families with kids were there and all our kids ran and played together. It is definitely perfect for families. It’s location is perfect for the beaches, Japanese garden, nearby dining, and theme park just across the street. The liquor store and Starbucks and Tim Hortons is right around the corner. The location couldn’t be better, the price was very reasonable compared to everywhere else and super family friendly. I have to also say the AC worked really well! Every place I’ve ever stayed at the AC has to run non stop making the room a freezer and is very loud. This place the AC turns off and on as needed to maintain desired room temp without running constantly and isn’t excessively loud. It’s worth noting because I always hate the air conditioners in places I’ve stayed. If we’re ever in Penticton again this will be our regular place.

Very large group stayed celebrating a wedding..rooms were easy access, check in and out was so easy not matter what time of day you arrived. The courtyard area was fantastic for gathering! could have used a wee bit of updating, but as we were leaving I saw new furniture being delivered, so safe to say that is happening! The owners and staff were so gracious, everything with a smile to what must have been an overwhelmingly busy weekend!

We just got back from our annual trip to Penticton. We’ve been staying the Bowmont for so many years that I’ve lost count. We thought we’d give the near ownership a try. Our room wasn’t ready when it should have been. They said they needed 1/2 hour to clean it. What enhanced Covid measures? I decided to wipe things down with Lysol wipes. The wipes were filthy! The floors weren’t cleaned. The office is open 9 to 5, so you can’t get any help or clean towels for your room after 5 pm. There was a huge party one evening. The whole outside area was full of unmasked people. Children were unsupervised in the pool until all hours. It was incredibly noisy wel into the night. We didn’t see any staff after 5 pm - ever! I think it’s a free for all after that. Done with the Bowmont!!!

Stayed at the motel for 4 nights. The first night the smoke detector started going off after 10pm randomly all night long, wife and kids had no sleep at all. I went to the office in the morning ang let them know about the issue and they said they would take care of it right away. The second night when we got back and settled in the same thing started all night long. I went back down in morning and brought the smoke detector with battery removed to the manager, told me that I would be compensated for the trouble. Night 3 got back to room, new one was installed so I was happy, we settled in and again all night long every 30 seconds a very loud beep, at this point I was becoming boiling red, called after hour number and got the manager, I said some very angry words, they removed detecter so 4th night was not there and was peaceful but probably highly illegal???, checked out and no compensation on my bill for an over priced $300 room per night, I am very very angry and I am not going to stop until I get something, worst place I’ve ever stayed anywhere

I have been returning to the motel with my family since 2005 and this March the Motel was sold to new owners. I was assured by the previous owners that the reservation I made 2019 (closed for 2020 due to the pandemic) would be honored in 2021. I did receive an email in March 2021 which I confirmed my reservation for August and asked them a question to which they responded. The usual protocol is that I would receive an email a month before our stay and call to pay the one night booking fee. I realized after the long weekend that I did not hear from the motel so I sent an email to which they did not respond. I called and talked to someone who has been hired to work the front desk and explained the circumstances and he said he will look into it and call me back. Approximately 10 minutes later I receive an email saying that my reservation has been cancelled due to the fact that I did not confirm the reservation by April 01. I was able to find my email string confirming my reservation and emailed it to the motel. I then called (no one seems to answer the phone now) and after many unsuccessful tries I got the front desk. I spoke with him and told him I sent the email with the confirmation. He had a look at the email and apologized but said that they are now full for those dates but will have the manager get in touch with me in a few days. After 2 days I did not receive a response so I got on the phone and attempted to call, again after many unsuccessful tries I left a message and sent an email. The manager did call me back and I again explained the situation. The manager said that those dates are now full and there is nothing he could do. I said it is you that dropped the ball and he replied "Let's not start playing the blame game". It was never the motel that captivated you (average at best) it was the owners, staff and the families you met over the years. It is apparent that the change of ownership at the motel lacks any form of customer service or empathy unlike the previous owners Dan and Christine. I will never return here again and will let the dozens of families I have met along the way my personal experience in 2021.

I booked this motel for my family for a 3 night stay and we were very disappointed. Based on other reviews and the information on the website we were expecting a clean place where late night noise is not tolerated. The kitchen was not clean. All of the utensils and dishes had to be washed by us before using, the dishes were all wet though they had been stacked together in the cupboards, there was food splattered on the wall and food caked onto the can opener. The linens for the beds and bathroom were clean but there was quite a bit of mildew on the shower curtain and around the tub. During the first night the occupants of the next suite had a drunken party that went until 5:00 am. No calls to the front desk were answered. We notified the frontdesk staff the next morning and learned that there is absolutely no staff available from about 6:00 pm until 9:00 am the next morning so unless your issue can be resolved by calling 911 you are out of luck. As there is no staff around during the night there is no way they can enfore their own rule of quiet time from 11:00 pm - 8:00 am as stated by their website. This is false advertising. And while the front desk staff promised to follow up on the issue they didn't get back to us when they said they would and seemed surprised when we followed up with them and they then tried to avoid the topic. The 2nd night the party started at 3:00 am. After 2 nights of next to no sleep we decided to find another place for our last night in Penticton since sleep was required before a 5 hour drive. Penticton is otherwise a lovely place, friendly people and great food. It is unfortunate that we had to waste so much time on finding alternate accommodations for our last night just so that we could make sure we were well rested before a long drive.

The Bowmont waaay exceeded my expectations of a motel! For our family of 5, our room overlooking the pool made for optimum ease when a baby was napping and older kids were at the pool. The motel is close to soooo many incredibly fun activities - tubing the river, the floating bouncy castle (called a wibit) I think, the adventure park, food and treats…. We are already booked to come stay for longer next summer!

The staff were beyond rude and awful. We tried checking in a few times, but were unable to check in “early” which was fine (even though family after family checked in before and after us). Then check in time came and they said they needed more time. After 20-25 minutes I go back and they give me a key and say “hopefully a couple more minutes it’ll be ready”. At this point we are so thrown off and to top it off, they don’t even tell us where the room is. I’m trying to explain this to the female when the male comes out from behind the counter, gets in my face and tells me if I don’t like it we can leave, and tries shooing me out the door. I’m in disbelief so I take the time to secure another hotel (best decision out of all this so far!) and go back to confirm he said they wouldn’t charge me etc and give the key back. I told him I wanted proof of refund and I already gave the key back and he starts yelling at me that they don’t have keys, it’s all codes; even though I was handed a physical key and the female had it in her hand. After they called me a bitch and dragged their feet I was finally able to get a receipt confirmation to be on my way. They were so rude, disrespectful, attempted to be intimidating and the place was grungy at best, and aside from a decent location it’s not worth the hassle. We booked at a hotel a block away that included a breakfast, way better staff, pool et all and saved $300 in doing so!!

The Bowmont Motels owners and staff are some of the best. The motel is clean, courtyard is the nicest ever been too. This motel has a great atmosphere. This weekend we all enjoyed a surprise BBQ prepared by the owners and staff as well as musical entertainment both Friday and Saturday night. Great time had by all!
