Can the location get any better.? Less than 5 minute walk to the beach. Staff, friendly and super accommodating. Clean, quiet rooms. Outdoor area very clean. Love the picnic/ bbq area. Tv need updating, my one and only complaint Recommend
we had a one night stay at this motel in a one bedroom kitchenette and enjoyed the green area for my dog while we relaxed. the room was very clean and the beds, though not fairmont style...were comfortable. the people running it during this time were terrific with one guy bringing out 2 chairs for us to sit outside even though they weren't ready for the upcoming season just yet. we have stayed here many times and as always...will be back this summer!
Let me start by saying staff was super. Early check in, when you ask for something they are on it! Bbq area was amazing for dinners outside. Well equipped kitchen everything you'd need. Including wine opener. Location was the reason we chose it. Short walk to the beach. Now the downfalls: Wi-Fi was horrible. If your working on your stay not gonna happen. Floors (carpet and Lino) were dirty , feet were black. Beds are like sleeping on boards. No storage if your packing food for a family. AC was only in the bedroom so common living area was extremely hot. Mouse was living in our unit as well. Came to visit quite a few times.
Stayed 3 nights at the Beachside with our family of 4, along with another family. Pros: kitchen is very well appointed, picnic/BBQ area is fantastic, location is like no other, Skaha Lake is the best! The staff is awesome. Very kind and willing to help. Cons: our room was not clean, our feet turned black walking on the floors. Beds and pillows are terrible, I would guess they are originals (gross,) Bathroom is very small, no room for anything. Generally more storage space would have been nice as we brought a lot of our own food to cook. A/C units are only in the bedroom so the sleeping area in the main room was hot and uncomfortable. New linens would also be nice as they appear to be very old. The WiFi was spotty at best, as in it only worked one day out of the three. We also suddenly had no hot water, but the staff was quick to address the matter. Our friends had a mouse under their stove. Enough said.…
We did the Kettle Valley Railway from Midway and rode into Penticton and stayed at the Beachside Motel. Basic accommodation in a 1 BR suite that met the needs for 4 of us in our group. Very close to Skaha Lake for those that want to do the beach thing ... Clean and comfortable, as expected. Shower was great ... how could it not be ... we'd been cycling on a trail for 4 days!
