still coming to this hotel for the past 5 years. it's very outdated hotel but very close to Skaha lake. the price these days maybe isn't high but $200+ per night for this room is s very questionable number. the beds are awful, they are very squeaky and loud. when one person steps out of the bed the whole room wakes up. Plus if there are two person in that bed and one leaves than the other person going up and down for a bit as the mattress has coils in them and they are not very of a good quality. fridges are small and temperature in the food compartment isn't cold enough to keep you food as its supposed to be so we have had a few items spoiled well ahead if their expiration date. No room cleaning during the stay ( we stay up to a week every year) but somebody comes occasionally and asks if anything is needed. Plus you never know what kind of room you are getting into as they permit dogs and cats to stay. But the location is good and at the and that matters. the staff is friendly. the price at the ice cream kiosk has sky rocketed and now it cost $9.00 for a one scoop of it and the place is rarely busy at all. Greedflation at the best!

We've been here a few times, and with new management and sky high prices, ($235) per night for a 1 queen bed, we were expecting improvements. Air conditioner was super loud, could not be adjusted. Furniture is old and dated. Positive points are it was clean and location, location, short walk to beach.

Second year staying at this motel. It is a very good 2 stars motel, we definitely didn’t expect it to be luxury. We stayed in a “deluxe” 1 bedroom for 5 nights. Our bedroom had 1 queen bed, and the living room had one queen bed + one sofa bed. Full kitchen with oven and full size fridge. The air conditioner was only inside the bedroom, not the living room, so we had to keep the door open if we wanted cold air everywhere. The motel is old but customer service was great and location is amazing. Very close to Skaha Beach. We used common area barbecues for family dinners. In the morning I would sit outside, drink my coffee and listen to the birds chirping.

We stayed for 7 days in a 2 bedroom kitchenette suite. The rooms are tired, outdated -- the beds and bedding were terrible, the sofa bed mattress looked about 30 years old. I had to move the sofa bed to grab something one of my kids dropped down there -- I don't think it had been moved or cleaned in years -- it was disgusting what was behind that sofa. Staff was friendly and helpful -- but often times they would skip cleaning your room if they were busy cleaning rooms that had been checked out of. On the last night one of our bikes, which was locked up in the provided bike rack, had both wheels stolen from it. No security cameras anywhere. The location is superb for activities at Skaha lake -- this is the only reason to stay here. The Waterfront and Sunny Beach motels are also owned by the same group -- they are similar in quality to this one.

There were multiple loud parties going on late into the night. Had to hunt the manager down at Waterfront Inn because there is no response at office after 9 pm. Rooms are OK but no air conditioning in the main roo., only in bedroom.

This is definitely a 2 star motel - but the pricing is more for a 3 star. ($160/night for 2 queen beds, no kitchenette) It is in a great location only 2 blocks from the beach, and has a few amenities like an indoor pool and laundry - neither of which we tried so I don't know what they were like. We were in a 2nd floor (walk up) room - 2 old and pretty hard beds, a tiny coffee maker and small refrigerator, which were useful. Everything is just old and tired. The carpeting is dirty and stained, the TV is a 15 - 20 yr old (non flat) TV with a 14" screen....but it works. The best part of the room was that there was good water pressure and a decent tub/shower. For one night it was OK, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. A friend who was staying for 3 nights found her room a lot worse - it wasn't cleaned before she checked in - left over food/ containers and dirty, but they did give her a discount on her room. Management is friendly - they run the 2 next door hotels as well. This is just a tired property that has seen better days.

The room was ok. We didn’t need much because we spent our days with family. The bed was not good. They need to upgrade the bed in this room. And there was no hair blower The proximity to the beach was great! All the beach amenities were right the. Very well done.

I stayed at Beachside Motel on Saturday, March 19, 2022, for one night. I am someone who has backpacked all over the world and does not need a luxury hotel. My first issue was a boom box blasting music from someone's room at 11:20 pm. I tried to call the front desk but no one answered. After the boom box music ended, I had to listen to the neigbour's TV, which was very loud. There isn't a lot of insulation between rooms, so definitely bring your ear plugs. What really turned my stomach was the urine in the bathroom. I was having a bath and noticed that there was a large yellow stain around the base of the toilet. I thought it was the lighting so I took a damp towel and wiped it. It was urine and lots of it. They need to get better cleaners and clean around the toilets. I will not stay there again.

We stayed at the Beachside Motel for two nights with our German Shepard. It was great as there is a large park just across the street which we were able to walk him at and the beach is close by. The staff were friendly and we felt very comfortable there with our dog. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again when travelling with our dog.

we decided to get a head start, so we headed out of vancouver early afternoon on the way to the rockies. our first night was at the beachside motel where i have stayed numerous times before and enjoyed the grassy area. all was good with the room (small with a queen) which had a decent sized bathroom with toiletries and a microwave oven with the coffee amenities above next to the bed, no room for a desk. price was a bit steep for what we got compared to what we use to get in the past with separate bedroom and kitchenette around the same price, but these weren't available. everything was clean and a comfy bed, though an extra pillow would have been nice waiting in the small closet. great people working there, but do miss the dutch family that use to run it...they did much more to make it appealing to guests and kids. i still like this motel and location...will be back ( bigger room next time)
