Detailed Reviews
Our bathroom wasn't very clean, microwave wasn't clean, no kitchen towels. We didn't see any cleaners around during our visit to have this addressed. We were not asked how our stay was going like most of the smaller motels do. Owners seems bit disorganized or short-staffed. The seating/barbecue area was complete mess. No common area to relax; only the beach across the street. Back gate was locked so tricky to get in/out with large vehicle. Unless they cleaned up the property/rooms, we would not go back or recommend. Expected alot cleaner for the price.

My wife and I spent a weekend in penticton and stayed in this motel. The motel was just renovated. Every thing was new. It is by Okanagan lake. The location and the view are great. Also the owner is nice. We would definitely stay again next time we visit Pentiction.

Had a fantastic stay here. The family who runs it were very friendly and accommodating. Outstanding location, right on the strip, a stones throw from the beach and dining options. Rooms are very clean, have A/C for those hot Penticton summers, free wireless, and tables set up outside the rooms for those who wish to make use of the kitchenettes and dine in. Great value too!
We will be back next summer!

We were very pleased with the quality and cleanliness of our unit when we stayed here for 3 nights in July. We had a one bedroom unit including cable tv and free internet. .

I spent 4 nights at the Black Sea Motel. Checking in was quick with the usual parking spot out front the office door. This end of Penticton is a very high traffic area with very little available street parking. (due to the beach goers and beautiful summer weather) The speed limit is 30km's for this street, so just relax and people watch. It can take some time to navigate it. We booked a two bedroom with kitchen. I was happy with the space and condition of the room. We never ran out of hot water and it is nice and hot.
Our parking spot was directly in front of our door, very handy. The kitchen came with all dishes and towels that we needed, with new towels daily. I found the staff and owners very friendly. I would stay here again.
The parking lot is a dead end so it's nice and safe to sit outside as most guests did with their dinners.
There's a store for ice cream and essentials 3 doors down. It sold (and rented I believe) floatation devices with an air compressor to inflate them.
Just a tip about this end of town...Okanagan Lake can be pretty windy, it seemed to die down most days by noon, where as the Skaha Lake is not as windy.

This is my fourth stay at the Black Sea Motel and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else when I'm in Penticton. The owners are a lovely family who are very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, the kitchen units are well equipped, and the location is phenomenal, especially on hot summer days when cooling off is as simple as walking across the street and jumping into the lake. I would truly recommend this motel to those traveling to Penticton, I look forward to my next visit!

Just like being in your own home. Kind and considerate owners. Affortiable rates and anything I needed I just asked even when I locked my keys in the hotel at 11 pm at night still no problem. Clean and everything you need in the kitchenette, appliances clean and working. There beds are like a dream so clean and comfortable. I stayed there for a month and would not go anywhere else if in need of a hotel. You are looking for a nice relaxed and laid back friendly family motel but has a whole lot of class this is the motel. Thank you for making my stay a nice one at a time when things were not so good cheers to Black Sea Motel.

Had a wonderful stay at this motel. Staff were friendly and relaxed. The motel has a fantastic location right next to the beach. We had two rooms with 7 of us and we spent a lot of time sitting outside our room, eating and visiting as did other guests in the motel. Staff didn't mind this and were very welcoming. Rooms were clean and well stocked. I will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone.

Spent two days at the Black Sea. Scored an early season deal when we showed up of $65 per night for Fri and Sat. Place was great had a small kitchenette couch tv an table with bathroom and bedroom. Clean but a little strong on the deodorizer! Right on the beach with restaurants all around and close to casino pubs and river channel. Good hosts, private and small. Definitely recommend no prob.
