The rental is good. Okanagan Lake Beach is across the street. but that's all. uncomfortable mattress. bedspread with spots. when we booked nothing said that the pool was closed because of the Covid. we only found out on the spot. but in reality it was being repaired. See picture no BBQ no housekeeper. you had to go to the office every day to get clean towels, empty the garbage, get toilet paper, etc. yet the other motels had all of these services. let's talk about household, the floor is very dirty. we had black feet if we walked barefoot. See picture dust on furniture We had to close the curtains to be private so very dark in the room even during the day. See picture I had to wash the dishes before using them. we are non-smokers and the room smelled of smoke. very disappointed with this place for the price.…
Property is very run down and very dirty. Did not have any housekeeping within our 4 night stay. Pool was not functional and was not notified about that. We were told it's a strata property and if so that strata should be held accountable. It's a good location and people will continue to book there but need to know it's disgusting.
First and foremost I need you to know the lady on the front desk, Lesley, and the night manager are both wonderful people and do their utmost to keep this place going. So this review is NOT against them in any way. We have been coming to the Shoreline for nearly 30 years so we know it WELL. A month ago we booked in for 3 days and were utterly shocked. The first room we were shown to was absolutely disgusting. It had not been cleaned, the lid of the toilet had been burnt as if by a hot pot or something. The basin was filthy. The carpet, brown shag, that went out in the 70's or older, was filthy and so was the kitchenette. I went to the front desk and said we need a different room. We were given one downstairs. This room was a little better, no shag carpet but lino that had not been vacuumed. The fridge was dirty, the stove was also dirty and the bathroom was just ok but had not been vacuumed either. There was no cover on the rad in the bathroom and the dust in it was horrible. Filthy filthy. The ONLY thing going for us in this room with its old and dirty smelly couch was the bed linen which was definitely clean and spotless. The individual owners of these suites need to be called up on these suites and they need to be re-furbished. They are beyond shocking. Very very disappointing. Nothing has been done in any of them for years and years. This should not be allowed. The rooms have little tables outside the doors with filthy black ashtrays for smokers. Smoke filters right into each doorway. It's ridiculous. This also should not be allowed. To cap it all the room cost us nearly $200. I would not recommend this place anymore and I think it should be torn down OR the owners ordered to fix each suite up. The location is a gold mine. Hence the rip off to customers. Does not get my vote. Again, none of this is against Lesley or the Night Manager. I am sure their hands are tied and they need the job. They do the best they can. We won't be back and we will pass the word to others. What happened to all the rules regarding COVID.!!! There was nothing done in this place.…
Where do i start...description of the room was very misleading. When we mentioned this the front desk said it was the fault of the booking company for the inconsistencies. One of the reasons we booked was because of the word balcony in the description . When we mentioned this, the front desk laughed and said the balcony rooms were $500/night!!! The unit was not carpeted and there was no way for us to clean up the sand that came back from the beach...would have been nice to have a broom and pan. The joint between the hardwood floor and the linoleum was about 1/2" .... great for stubbing toes. Fridge was new and worked. One of the 2 dinner plates was broken , one element on stove was not working. Thank goodness the maintenance guy flipped the breaker on for the kitchen to function. Poor lighting in kitchen. Heater in bathroom was bare with no cover. All amenities were closed, unless you brought your own bbq and chained it to a post at the front of your unit. Outdoor furniture consisted of an ancient plastic little table. Good thing we had our camping chairs. Air con worked. Now, we are not people to expect perfection but this property needs to clean it up and look at the rooms from a customer point of view. Get new beds!!…
I am in a little one bedroom unit with a full kitchen. The room is a bit dated, but is clean, quiet and across the street from the beach. There is laundry facilities, places to eat and the channel pretty much out your front doot, oh and a pool. The staff are friendly and do a great job running this place. If you are looking for a nice motel, and you dont mind things a bit dated, I recommend staying here.
