The staff were friendly and welcoming and were definitely the best part of this stay. The location is great, easy walking distance to Skaha Beach.
The room we stayed in needs updating and parking is very limited and challenging.
The room appeared clean but I still wiped down all touch surfaces with disinfecting wipes as an extra precaution during these challenging times. I looked at my feet after unpacking and they were black! I used several of our own Lysol wipes (a very precious commodity these days) to clean the floor myself but this was an unpleasant surprise.
The courtyard was busy and people weren't cleaning up after themselves making us uncomfortable in sitting in the courtyard. They have a pool but we didn't use it.
The parking lot had garbage and cigarette butts on it and it never got swept or cleaned during our 3 night stay.
It's unfortunate that some patrons of hotels can make it an unpleasant experience through their disrespect of common areas.

We have been coming to Penticton for many summers and have stayed in a lot of different accommodations during our vacations stays. The Traveler's is really well located only a block or two from Skaha Beach, and a stone's throw away from Gilligan's ice cream. It has a very nice pool and the grounds are well kept and maintained. Rooms are cozy with all amenities and for the price are a very good value. Parking is tight, but there are overflow spots on the street and in the back of the motel. We were rarely inconvenienced in our four nights there. Owners are friendly and hospitable and bookings tend to be return clients. If you can get a reservation, this is a very good spot to stay in Penticton. Well recommended.

Room Tip: Corner suites are more spacious. Traveling in the off-season might offer more choice.

Booked a staycation and it was the perfect getaway. Our room was incredible - comfy beds, quiet and lots of hot water! Full size fridge & stove plenty of cupboards - would recommend to families. Our room was on the 2nd floor - in the new addition of the motel.
Easy access to Skaha Lake.

I booked a room at this motel through Reservations.com and the price quoted was $93 CAD. When I arrived, they charged me $103 and would not honour my reservation. I am so not impressed and will never go there again, that is outright bad behaviour.

Room Tip: Make sure you stick to your guns about your reservation. They stole $10 from me.

We were charged for the entire visit prior to even seeing the room! Once we saw the room we were not pleased, asked for an upgrade and was told nothing available. I was never given a deposit confirmation via email when first reserved. I was accused of losing it. The AC was so loud was difficult to sleep. The floors were dirty and when brought to managements/owners attention he denied same even when it was proven. The person I was dealing with I asked if he was the owner to which he replied "yes" and when I asked for his name he refused. The coffee maker switch disintegrated upon first use; obviously old and was pretty much accused of breaking it. The management was rude and accusatory and have zero customer service skills. The only positive thing I can say is that it's close to Skaha Lake.

Had booked a room through Expedia and was sent an email saying there was a problem with the credit card. Was told I had 24 hours to call the hotel to correct the issue. I called 9 hours after email and was told reservation was canceled and no more rooms we available. I had bought tickets to an event for that same night after I thought i had a hotel reserved, but now with it being a long weekend nothing else in town is available. Hotel owner says there is nothing else he can do. I call bull crap!!!

This an a old motel that had the top floor renovated to suits. They are brand new. The pool was clean. The hot tub was not working at the time. Location is right across from the beach. We found it very easy access and friendly owners.

A group of us stayed here for 2 nights. We had 2 rooms: one room with a queen bed and the 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were clean-ish but BADLY in need of updating. Our bed and pillows were very hard. The pool, however, was very clean and quite nice. If you are looking for an option that covers your basic needs, this place works. If you are looking for charm and comfort in wine country, don't stay here. Next time we are in the area, we will be staying in a B&B or a vacation rental.

We have stayed at Traveler's 3 times since we have had a family. Tony and Helga do a really great job. They work tirelessly to keep the motel very clean, quiet, and well maintained. It is an older property, but no need to be nervous about that- it is spotless. The location simply can't be beat. It is literally a three minute walk to the beautiful Skaha beach, which is great for families. Across the road is an ice cream stand (great on those 40 degree days!). Almost adjacent to the property is a little store that serves a really nice breakfast on the patio. In the shopping plaza you will also find a liquor store. The motel is also walking distance to many restaurants, playgrounds and the spray park. Our favorite feature is the outdoor swimming pool- it may be the only one that close to the beach. Every morning after breakfast we would walk to the beach, play around there before it got busy, walk back to our room for lunch and then play at the pool in the afternoon! Loved it! There is laundry available, the rooms are all fully equipped kitchenettes (with at least one two bedroom that was very spacious) and they have barbeque's and picnic tables for guests. It really is a great place for families and many return year after year. The rooms are not cheap, perse, but the cleanliness, pool and location all make it worth it. If you want to party, however, this is not the place for you. The owners like it quiet and, I am sure, the guests appreciate the quiet as well.

Walking distance to several good locations and just a couple minutes walk to Skaha Beach Park with a beautiful beach and amenities. The hotel room was clean with air conditioning that worked well. Beds and pillows were clean and comfy. Nice pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly and was more than happy to hold our luggage for the day after we checked out. I'll definitely come back here!
