On the east mountainside of Penticton, the amazing view from 10 private acres overlooks Okanagan Lake and the Naramata Bench (home to many award winning wineries). Three very spacious deluxe suites are completely self-contained, beautifully decorated, private and quiet. At 1200 sq ft on 2 levels, each has a fully equipped kitchen, 1-1/2 bathrooms, 3 decks, BBQ, fireplace, 2 conversational seating areas, Wi-Fi, TV with Satellite and DVD, telephone, toiletries and much much more. Family and pet friendly, each suite may accommodate up to 6 people. My husband and I had an incredible staycation here this weekend. The suites were more spacious than we imagined, and the view was incredible to sip wine and look out at the lake in the evening. Alix was the perfect host, and made sure our stay was enjoyable. We highly recommend staying here, and will most certainly be back for family vacations and friend getaways alike.

Alix is an amazing host. The suites are impeccable. Very clean, very well decorated, and spacious. Our family of 6 had plenty of room and the suite was fantastic. Safe, secure, quiet, and just a quick drive from town past several wineries. Our family travels extensively and Crooked Tree is easily the best place to stay anywhere in Penticton. Thanks Alix!

My wife and I have come back to Crooked Tree 2 years in a row for an anniversary getaway. It is the perfect combination of modern with all of the amenities and cozy/secluded. It is less than 15 minutes from downtown Penticton but it feels a world away tucked up on the mountainside with sweeping lake views. The suite is very well equipped and modern. It has 2 living areas (1 with a fireplace) that are both comfortable. Alix is accessible and quick to communicate when needed but gives you all of the privacy you want. We will definitely be back!

Two couples 3 nights at Crooked Tree in September. When I booked it, I had no idea it was so far up the mountain, up a windy road. The view of the valley was spectacular and we enjoyed making our meals on the barbecue and in the well-equipped kitchen. However, our plans to visit local restaurants and wineries were curtailed as we weren’t willing to drive the windy, narrow road in the dark. The units were spacious, the decorating lovely, and every possible detail one could imagine was covered - down to first aid kit and sewing kit! This is a perfect spot if you wish seclusion and getting away form the crowds.

Hi Tim (I think Tim is the writer!), Thank you for your very positive review about your suite here at Crooked Tree. I’m glad to hear you made good use of the fully-equipped kitchen and the BBQ (think of how many $ you saved by not eating out!) and that you enjoyed the décor and the many details. Yes, guests do enjoy respite time whilst here - our rural setting is such that privacy, quiet and great views are maximized and frequent wildlife sightings are enjoyed. As to our location being “far from the valley” (this is mainly for others that may be reading my reply) . . . in actuality we are a 5-minute drive uphill from Naramata Road, along which all the Naramata Bench wineries are located. Perched on the eastern hillside, our view encompasses “The Bench”, Okanagan Lake and mountains to the west. If “the valley” is considered to be the flat land right in Penticton, then that is an approximate 10-minute drive from here. Other than views and tranquility, today was another good example of the advantage of not being in the valley; it was socked in with fog whereas, above, we had clear sunny skies :) I suppose distances, types of roads and etc., all boil down to what one’s expectations are, what they are accustomed to (city driving primarily and/or flat land only?) and how they choose to embrace the overall adventure. We very rarely have anyone finding our location in any way detrimental to their activities so I am sorry to hear that this was the case for you. If you come back to stay in a season during which dusk is early (in the summer it is light until about 10:00pm), I will gladly drive you to and pick you up from the restaurant of your choice (wineries would then be either closed or also in the dark) . . . and that’s a promise!

What a beautiful spot this is , welcomed by Alix on arrival , the accommodation is extremely well put together and so much thought has gone into this even down to the lovely special touch finishings and decor inside the suites. More so than a 5 star hotel . Lovely view of the lake from our deck , all the mod cons in the suite . Stayed with family from the UK but will definitely be back for a romantic weekend for just the two of us . Loved this place it has to be one of the best accommodations we have stayed in , highly highly recommended it, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at Crooked Tree for the weekend with our sons and their girlfriends for a wine tour and to float down the 'lazy river' in Penticton. The two-level suite was extremely clean, with two gorgeous, large balconies overlooking the amazing lake view. It was well-stocked with kitchen goods, extra linen, bath items, library books, DVDs, a full-size BBQ, and laundry facilities. Alix and Ken were very friendly and the property, being above the wineries and lake, was quiet and peaceful. We can't say enough about the view. The weather was spectacular so we were able to take advantage of the decks for tanning. We comfortably slept 6 people, with room for 2 more. We will definitely reserve another visit !!

Just returned from a perfect 4 days in Naramata. Crooked Tree is a wonderful place to stay. The suites are gorgeous and spacious with absolutely amazing to die for views! Alix your host is just lovely and welcoming which definitely adds to the totally relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. Once you've settled in you will want to stay longer, its a perfect place to get away from it all and relax, there are lots of things to do in Naramata, beautiful winery bistro patios to enjoy excellent food and the KVR trail is fabulous for walks or biking, there is also the lake and beaches. Essentially heaven. A bonus for us is we could bring our doggie :)

What an amazing spot! Every detail was considered throughout the unit. We were able to entertain friends in the spacious living/kitchen area. As someone who loves to cook, I appreciated the extra kitchen equipment and condiments. I wish it had not been March and we had been able to sit on the deck with a glass of wine - that would be incredible. Alix and Ken have thought of everything both in design and finishing touches. Thank you for the memories... wishing there were some holes in your calendar this summer!!

Our recent 4 night stay this week at the Crooked Tree was magical. The Spruce suite was everything and more you could ask for. Living the life of luxury with the accommodation and tremendous view. Beautiful decor and well equipped with everything you need. Alix is such a lovely host and I enjoyed playing with Axel the resident dog. Deer out and about in front of the property. Excellent !!!
