The first people to greet you at the desk are not friendly. They look annoyed if you have children. The beds are hard. If you are looking for a family friendly resort this is by far not the case. The pros were the private beach and the fast elevators.

Hotel's Favourite
Had a great stay for a wedding in Penticton. The rooms were clean but could use updating in the original building. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. I avoided eating at the hotel because of online reviews so I can't comment on that. Proximity to the lake is unbeatable.

Huge disappointment! Don’t expect cleanliness or quiet! We arrived on a Friday night. We were evacuated due to Kelowna fires. I should have been more suspicious that they even had availability in the middle of summer. On arrival I had to assist my mom who was using a mobility device(walker). We couldn’t use the accessibility ramp as there were two wine tour buses blocking access. When I asked them to move the bus to allow her access, the bus driver said he couldn’t move it. Why would a bus full of wine touring people take precedence over an 85 year old hotel guest. At reception my comment that I’d like to let the manager know that it was not easy getting my mother into the hotel , fell on deaf ears. The room we stayed in (suite) was run down, dirty carpets and the noisiest room I’ve ever occupied. I had to call down to reception at 1:30 am for 3 sets of ear plugs. Not only noise from the bar but their roof and mechanical equipment squeaked and groaned the entire night. $600 for a meal ( no drinks ) and accommodation in such a run down hotel is a huge disappointment. Surely the only hotel directly on the lake in a popular tourist destination can do better than this! At checkout, there was no question of “how was your stay?”, clearly because they don’t want the answer. Do better Penticton! Fortunately, we found a great clean quiet room at the Ramada on Eckhardt Ave.

It pains me to write this review, it truly does as we’ve stayed at this hotel for years and enjoyed it. Unfortunately there has been little to no solid maintenance or updates, they’re coasting on being the only non motel on the beach. The prices are pretty unreasonable for the product and service offered. The AC sounds like a jet plane taking off, the carpets and furniture are worn, mattresses sag in the middle where people sit to look at the very small TV. In 2023 not having the TV guide match the actual channels just isn’t acceptable. Remote didn’t work so called to have someone come fix it. An hour and an half later, no one had come so I called the desk letting them no and asking them to please not come now as we are going to bed, “oh…sorry.” Click. Wish us luck for tomorrow. Ice machines don’t really function in the summer. Had to try four floors before I found ice. I was told people fill up coolers and drain the ice. There are no signs or instructions to not do that but I’m also not sure that’s the issue as last year I was told they can’t keep up when it’s hot out???? Luggage carts are brutal to find if you’re around check in or out time and no one seems to care or want to help. The pool area stinks like chlorine and if you know anything about pools that isn’t great. I totally understand staffing is hard but 4/5 seem to be miserable?? Don’t get me wrong there are some positives - location and view. All in all, will be taking a break from The lakeside. For this kind of money the delta in Kelowna or watermark in Osoyoos is MUCH MUCH better. The quality and standard of the rooms is much nicer and the facilities are bounds above.

We stayed 2 days at this facility Aug 2-4 received the room we asked for with a wonderful view of the lake from an outside balcony which is a great addition to the room. I didn’t find out too much about the hotel like where exactly was the pool . The hotel has a great walking areas all around the waterfront area that was throughly enjoyed. Not too much shopping in penticton to my dismay ,they allow pets . Only other disappointing point was the 15.00 charge for parking each night.I would give this hotel 4/5 worth staying if you can afford it it’s a little pricey

Hello Deepak, Thank you for providing us with your valued feedback! After speaking with our events team, they did indeed receive two voicemails from you. However those voicemails left a call back phone number that had only 9 digits in it, both times. We had sereral staff listen to the 2nd voicemail due to the frustrations expressed and all parties confirmed it was not a complete phone number. For future inquries please reach out to our Corpate and Assciation Sales Manager directly and she will be happy to assist you.

Nice visit. The change rooms at the pool were under construction and the jets in the hot tub were not functioning due to renovations. The rooms were clean - I found the beds to be just okay and the pillows were puffy and huge! The lakeview room was a nice treat. The staff was helpful and accommodating. The biggest downside was that we could hear any and all noise in the hallway - almost as if it was right in our room! Very loud.

The main hotel facilities need some attention. Checked in Friday only to experience only one reservations computer was working. Although the rooms were clean the the chairs and bed were very uncomfortable. The restaurant service Saturday morning was good however the food was not great. Arriving back to the hotel Saturday after work to find one elevator was out of service and the second elevator was questionable with some guests waiting 15 - 20 minutes for the elevator. The ladies hockey team had to carry their equipment bags up to the 5th floor. Not sure whether l will book my crew back there again??

Generally I love this hotel. This time it was not at all the best stay. I was located on the 4th floor lake view. The Thursday night stay was wonderful. Friday night was noisy. A group of young teens where placed all around my room. Between teens talking loudly, running and slamming doors till 2300 at night amongst all the rooms they occupied it made for a horrible night of rest. The following Saturday the noise began again at 0604 am exactly waking me out of a good sleep. The noise stopped at 0800 but again started at 1800 through to 2300 again. I told the reception desk upon checking out on the Sunday but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. The group must have been a hockey team and were all checked into several rooms all around mine. The doors in this hotel are very heavy and slam quickly and hard. The weight of the heavy doors slamming is very loud. Normally I’d give this place a 4 but this last trip was very disappointing.
