We stayed at the Waterfront Inn July 20th till August 1st 2020. We had an amazing holiday. The location of the Waterfront is stellar, you’re right across the street from a park with the beach right there. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff were fantastic, they were all very helpful and friendly. The manager Scott was very welcoming, friendly and professional. We enjoyed it so much we are planning on our next holiday at the Waterfront!
Thank you so much

The hotel is perfected located. We walked to the beach everyday, area is safe and its great to not have to worry about parking at the beach. The room was small and dated but it have very good air conditioning and that was really good because it was a heat wave. We were unlucky and we have 3 very young children right next door so we didn't get much sleep between the kids crying and the yelling parents but nothing the hotel could do about that. I would stay again

We loved the Waterfront Inn! the location is perfect and a short walk to everything for the kids. Scott was so kind and helpful. We highly recommend. The biking is awesome and so easy to get places. Some great wine farms and hiking trails in the area.

I first discovered this small motel in 1979 and have returned there numerous (15 to 20) times since with varying numbers of family members. Owners Peter and Maria are friendly and helpful and each year they add new touches to the rooms and/or building.
There is no swimming pool, but the Waterfront Inn is just one block from Skaha Beach and a short walk to the waterslides. Most of the rooms come with separate bedroom, hide-a-bed in the living area, and kitchen facilities (with dishes, pots and pans, and cultery). Just outside the door to each unit is a small table with umbrella and chairs, and a barbecue is available for a small cost.
This place is cozy and unpretentious, and I look forward to a return visit soon!

The motel is close to the Skaha beach, but the accomodations were very poor. The hotel looks as if it was something out of the 70s. The walls were paper thin, and the beds were hard and very uncomfortable and weren't supportive eventhough they were firm. We didn't sleep well and we woke up frequently in the night, and we all woke up with bad back pain.
The manager also started to work on the roof of the motel one morning without any warning and started to work on it at 7am. He woke up the entire complex and alot of people weren't happy about it, because the construction was very loud. He never appologized to anyone about the construction because he said it was OK because it needed to be done. Eventhough the roof needed to be repaired, he could have gave some warning. I also thought it was strange that he had to do it at 7am, and not later in the day. We definitely won't be going back to Waterfront Inn. We thought it was overpriced for $145/night, and would definitely not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here for eight days, three years in a row. We strongly disagree with the previous poster's “Apathetic Owner” remarks. She should have booked and found out first hand what a great stay she missed!
It's an excellent location across from the best and warmest swimming lake in the Okanagan. And Penticton is a cute city with lots of great shopping. There are some of the best wineries in this area as well.
But it is the dillegent onsite owner that makes the stay pleasant. We have always found him courteous, humourous, and very concerned with the quality of stay he provides for his guests.
We wouldn't be returning each year if it wasn't so :)
This is an excellent inn with 45 second access to a top notch sandy beach and a welcoming, secure family environment.

Our family have been staying here since my daughter was 3 years old and is now 17. We too strongly disagree with the comment posted Peter being an "Apathetic Owner". He has been a very sweet, kind, caring, accommodating and welcoming person towards my family. Every summer my husband, myself and our 4 children always look forward coming to Penticton for our yearly get away. We stay for two weeks and is always nice to see familiar faces that repeatedly stay at Waterfront Inn. We've stayed at two other Motels prior to the Waterfront Inn, and will always stay whenever we come to Penticton. Close to the beach, close to amenities, and close to recreational facilities. You get what you pay for!

Perfect stay again at the Waterfront inn with friends and family. The hotel is well looked after and always clean. The location is right across the park and beach so the kids kept us busy with loads of activities. The rooftop BBQ's are perfect for group meals.

Thank you Peter, you take great care to ensure all your guests are comfortable and we look forward to our next stay at the Waterfront Inn.

When I read everyone's reviews of the Watermark Inn, I thought that it sounded like a great alternative to the two star motels in Penticton, and I decided to spend the extra money to stay here. What is lovely and factual about this place is that the location is great. It is the last motel before the beach. That said, if you are in a dark room around the corner from the lake, facing another building, you are in a two-star motel in a dark room. There weren't any amenities that I can comment on, and the towels and blankets need updating.

TripAdvisor, please put the Watermark Inn in the Hotel Category, as it does not belong anywhere else.

Response from Peter D, Owner at Waterfront Inn
Responded Aug 6, 2012
We like to thank to all reviewers as long they are objective. Our "Standard Rooms" do not face the lake or park. It is always mentioned to our guests when they inquire about accommodations or make reservations. Our motel went in spring 2012 through an extensive upgrade. Our furniture,bedding,towels,flat-TV etc are brand new. Every week we replace a number of towels because of soil problems. We are proud to deliver a good place to rest. Please stay objectives with reviews. Go to the manager first if something is not to your satisfaction. Thank you, Peter (owner)

This motel was immaculately clean and very well kept. The room was in excellent condition. The owner checked us in and out and was very friendly and nice to chat with. The location is also fantastic for families, across the street from the lake and a small playground. Next time we come to town we will not hesitate to get a room here.
