Detailed Reviews
I choose this hotel cause it's new with modern looking rooms. If I were to return to Penticton, I'd stay here again.
We were a group of 4, staying in 3 rooms, including a 'King room' and a '2 Queen room'. The King rooms face the highway --- the noise wasn't bad to us, but of course, you hear some highway sounds. The standard King room has a shower only. The 2 Queen room is on the opposite side of the hotel, facing away from the highway, so they are quieter. The standard 2 Queen room had a tub/shower. According to the website, there are accessible rooms for all room types with roll in showers. The fourth floor is the top floor.
Shampoo/conditioner/body wash is provided in large pump bottles, saving plastic waste of small bottles.
The front desk & breakfast staff were pleasant and friendly.
There is laundry on the 3rd floor: one washing machine, one dryer, coin operated. This is room #331 (Housekeeping) on the floorplan.
Book as early as you can. For example, prices for the May long weekend rose as the date got closer.

We stayed at the Fairfield in for 3 nights. Here are some highlights and Pros and Cons to help you decide if you want to stay here.
Pros:
• New hotel and rooms
• Convenient lo cation in Penticton to access downtown, the lake, and a quick drive to surrounding wineries. Penticton is pretty centrally located and so it is easier to take a day trip to Kelowna than if you stay in Osoyoos.
• Nice gym with spacing; enjoyed my cardio and strength training workouts
• Breakfast service was quick and friendly; we enjoyed the take-away bag that had a wrap and a few other snacks
• Service was friendly and quick; acknowledged our Titanium status with Marriott and offered late checkout at checkin.
• There is a mini-fridge, easy access to ice, and a microwave
• Free parking is included
Cons:
• The rooms do not have balconies but you can sit outside by the breakfast area
• The rooms are not very soundproof and so you can hear noise in the hallwayand from other rooms
• This is more of a business style hotel and so if you are looking for a resort, you will be disappointed
Overall, we had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn Penticton and it met our expectations. We would stay again for a few nights.

Love this new Marriott Fairfield. Location is great, free parking and rooms are great value plus the King room is well laid out. With covid it was a bit odd for the 'Grab&Go" breakfast and you heat up your food in your room. It worked but best to go eat at Bench Market. A surprise was the incorrect billing for the room and after three emails and four phone calls - The front desk Colleen, Tara, and OpsDirector Minisch - still haven't got my invoicing correct and still owed $ but their automated billing keeps invoicing my visa. As a Marriott Titanium Lifetime ELITE member this really is annoying and wasting a load of my time trying to get their errors fixed. Driving me crazy. So be aware that your departing invoice will not be what you get billed. I realize it is a new hotel new staff but you've just got to get this fixed and fast please. Over to Ricky Clarke the GM to train the staff and fix this nasty surprise please. THANKS G

I will start off by saying the hotel is beautiful and definitely has potential, however I was shocked to see they are not up to Marriott standards. Marriott recently mandated masks for all of their staff and guests, and I did not see one staff member wearing a mask and very few guests. I was extremely disappointed and did not feel comfortable staying there and won't return. We recently stayed at the Fairfield in Kelowna and the difference between the two hotels is night and day. As soon as you walk through the doors they ask that you put a mask on and let you know it is required of all guests, and they also had hand sanitizer stations throughout the hotel and multiple staff members disinfecting surfaces.
Anyway if you are weary about traveling during the pandemic I would not recommend staying there, they are clearly not up to Marriott standards and have a lot of work to do.

Would not recommend
Manager and front staff all running around with their heads cut off. No masks being worn by guest even when Marriott has a mandatory mask wearing policy in all North America. A few of the front desk staff were also not wearing masks. We were told to wait an hour for our room even though check in was at 3pm. They wanted to ensure the room was clean which during covid times we appreciate and aren’t going to be mad over it. The fact that after the hour wait we walked into a dirty, already used room from the guest before was unacceptable. We went back to the front desk and they seemed unbothered and got us another room. We asked them if they are taking cleaning and covid precautions seriously and they responded with Yes. The room they finally found for us had 2 queen beds when we requested a king. And it was on the 4th floor even though they knew we had a dog. To top it all off. The tv had no channels other than Netflix that you have to pay for. We are the type of people who disinfect our rooms once we arrive (pre covid) and the Lysol wipes were coming up grey and dirty. We understand the risks involved with Covid and if we are that concerned we should stay home. However, being a Marriott Rewards Member we stay in Marriott hotels almost every month and we have never had a problem until now.

Dear CHRISTOPHER, Thank you for choosing to stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Penticton and providing your honest feedback on the Guest Satisfaction Survey. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. Front desk staff have an option of wearing masks as they have clear face front barriers in the front desk. However, wearing masks is mandatory in all the public areas and we believe that all our department heads, managers and staff are following this protocol including guests. Thank you for bringing me this to my attention. We will certainly review this feedback with our employees and concerned department heads. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us during these unusual times. Sincerely,

We just stayed here for the last 4 nights, the hotel is brand new & has only been open for 2 weeks. It is in a great location for walking/driving distance to any of all the good stuff Penticton has to offer. The staff here are Amazing! First of all Tara the manager was so accommodating with all our needs even before we checked in, on the phone.
Once we got to the hotel she was even more accommodating! As a Bonvoy Member we were upgraded to an amazing room with King size bed and & seperate sitting area with a 2nd TV and pullout bed, Soooo Nice! We brought our Mountain bikes (3) and I believe Terry was his name, helped us each day to store them in a room where we could leave them till we took them out again, he was so nice and had any informantion you would want on biking in the area. Hedi was a front desk agent that helped me daily on printing documents I needed as I was still working on this trip. We will be back & this will be our to go place to stay when in Penticton in the future for sure! (on a side note: due to Covid-19 they are not doing a breakfast buffet as no one is & totally understandable, But, the have breakfast Grab Bags with Breakfast Wraps, yougurt, granola bars, water, some days it had chips and m&m's as a bonus! We had a great time here and will miss the staff till we see them again hopefully sooner than later:)

This a brand new hotel, which was nice to stay at. check in was a breeze as we are Marriott Bonvoy members and had pre checked in prior to arrival. Staff were all friendly and informative. This hotel is a walkable distance to Lake Okanagan and close to most anything you would need. We did a morning walk and of course being summer was gorgeous. We didn’t use the pool but it is an indoor pool and we saw families using it. We saw no issues with people not wearing masks when walking around. Front desk staff are behind a plexiglass glass screen. Morning breakfast because of Covid is a bag breakfast... I prefer no plastic cutlery if possible and more recycling options. I would stay again!!

We recently were evacuated due to wild fire in our area and were forced to stay in Penticton.
We found accommodation at the new Fairfield by Marriott.
The front desk worked with us to ensure our stay in this trying time was pleasant and accommodated a evacuee rate for us so that the cost was not too high as we ended up staying for 7 nights.
The rooms was a large suite and had sitting area as well as bed and separate bath.

This has always been one of my favourite hotels to visit. This past week,I had the most disturbing experience ever. My reservation was for Friday( today) , January 27th, and on Wednesday( 25th) morning I watched the weather forecast for freezing rain and sudden cold temperatures which made travel concerning. I cancelled my reservation early Wednesday morning online, and called the hotel with another question , and spoke with a very amazing lady that we always interact with… I had a pet fee question, and mentioned we had cancelled our reservation online due to weather concerns coming late Friday, and asked her if she saw this cancellation online, and she confirmed…. No problem at all and no mention of cancellation fee. I received a cancellation email and again no mention of cancellation fee. So, naturally I was not at all concerned. This evening I noticed a full charge on my credit card. I called the hotel , and was entirely blindsided…. Rude, curt , impatient ( my daughter overheard the whole conversation and couldn’t believe how rude the gentleman was). I then received an email from a lady with no title saying that I was charged a cancellation fee ( full hotel charge), and the invoice with guest room cancellation charges were attached. I was never given this invoice when I emailed the cancellation, just a cancellation confirmation number with no details and no charges, and when I called that morning and expressed why we had cancelled, no problem then either, just apparent understanding, and no apparent issues at all- no cancellation charges were mentioned at this time either. In past I have cancelled at this exact hotel 24 hours before and so assumed this was ample time. Felt entirely blindsided, treated in a very sneaky and deceitful manner. Never expected this at all. So far, no resolution and no understanding whatsoever. We won’t be returning. An absolutely disturbing experience. I wouldn’t treat anyone in this manner, especially a regular customer.

Visit July 26, I have already paid the hotel online, but 1 week after I noticed another 1 day full charge on my credit card that they have on file.
When you call their hotel number, no one ever picks up and the voice mailbox is always full. (Tried calling morning, afternoon, night)
I didn't even get a receipt for what they charged me for.
