We drove along a back road after exploring the Naramata area, heading towards Kelowna. We were told the road was suitable for 4 wheel drive with amazing views. No kidding - it was spectacular. What we did not expect was this little rustic lodge about halfway along. Quaint and loaded with charm, just like the lovely elderly lady who served...

Although Chute Lake is in a beautiful picturesque setting with a warm staff and good food the resort itself needs a lot of TLC. Beds are old , uncomfortable and the rooms are very cold even with heaters provided. Linens are threadbare and very dated. With the amount charged for a room I would expect a free meal at least....

We enjoyed the hospitality offered here. We loved the meals. We even had good sleeps! BUT the "resort" needs to invest money in providing hand wash dispensers, showers that you would want to use, and free bottled water as long as the boil water advisory is on. Our group of 10 dropped $900 here. Surely there is some profit there...

We have been bike touring/camping on the KVR trail and stopped at Chute Lake to spend the night in our tent. The beer was cold at the resort and the owners friendly and welcoming. As stated many times Chute Lake Resort is 'rustic' but this is a big part of its charm. The hosts were great - food menu is...

It was June 25, 2016. After a scenic, occasionally rough n'wet (large puddle falls) bicycle journey from Myra Canyon, we arrive at Chute Lake for a night. Two of us have rented a cabin while others stay either in a room in the lodge or pitch a tent in areas of the camping ground. the cabin we occupied had a...

I think your perspective on this place depends on expectation. It's very rustic, but I found it clean and friendly. The lack of potable water was disappointing but we were able to buy drinking water — not to mention pie! Expect to bring your own food as the "restaurant" menu is limited and your own bedding (tenting also recommended, since...

Go back in time to the 1940's - this old character building with rusty antiques out the back is an interesting place to experience. The rooms were clean and quiet (although the mattresses were a little dated) and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Note: the bathroom is in the back of the building requiring a trip outside and...

Stayed over here on our bike ride from Myra to Penticton. Don't have anything bad to say about it but it was certainly different! We were there mid-week so the place was relatively quiet with just a few guests. We stayed in the lodge itself. The floors sloped in strange angles, the room decor was out of the 50's, everything...

We only stopped at the diner/cafe on recommendation of ladies at Penticton Wine Centre. They had been hearing good reviews. We both had cheeseburgers. Split a portion of fries. Split an apple pie. The cheese burgers were like the cheese burgers you used to get everywhere - incredibly tasty just a bit of cheese and onion on a real bun....

Over 42 years and counting, this place has been around a long time. It's completely believable that not a stitch of work has been done, ever, as the "resort" falls down around the owners ears. Crumbling picnic tables, mouldy showers, surly service and high rates; what's not to like? The lakeside campsite is covered, by the staffs admission, goose feces,...
