We stayed at Lakeside Villas for 4 nights/5 days in Aug 2021. My boyfriend and our kids 13 & 15 and 6 all loved our stay! We booked the deluxe family suite (unit #13) and had two queen beds (one in a private bedroom) and a sofa and a full kitchen with full size appliances and it suited us perfectly! The beds were insanely comfortable, I never wanted to go home. The shower pressure and temperatures were great for my long thick hair as well. We couldn't ask for more.

The location is across from the Skaha Lake with access thru a tunnel and the beach is not over populated and very relaxed. We prefer the Skaha over the OK Lake for the laid back vibes. The water is warm and there is ice cream shops and picnic tables for everyone to use.

The owners are very friendly and offer everything you need for a wonderful stay. My boyfriend dropped me and the kids and our floaties at the top of the canal and Brandon drove him back up so we could float down without leaving our truck. Once we floated to the bottom, we ended in the lake and walked the beach shore back to the hotel. It was absolutely perfect.

Our only complaint is we didn't book a longer stay. We will be booking again year after year as this is our new fave vacation spot in the interior!

Thanks Lakeside Villas and keep up the wonderful hospitality! See you next summer!

We loved our visit here. The owners are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are well-appointed with a BBQ and picnic area available for guests. Private beach access just across the road makes this a gem of the Okanagan. Highly recommend.

Our first impression on arrival was how retro the place is. Reminded me of the places where my family used to stay in the 50's. Baby blue painted stucco and pink doors! Our hosts and owners, Jules and Brent, were so friendly and welcoming and it is obvious how much love and care they have put into this motel! Our 1 bedroom suite had everything we needed. Full sized appliances, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans and GREAT coffee available both in our room and at the office. The bed was so comfortable with top notch bedding and plush towels (and lots of them) in the bathroom. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan in the bedroom were well used during our stay. Outside, the gardens were welcoming and well-maintained with fresh herbs we could pick for our meals. There are several seating areas in both the sun and shade, a gazebo, 2 barbeques, an outdoor gas fireplace and it is a great place to chat with new friends over a glass of wine in the evening. It is well situated to access the plentiful wineries, cideries and breweries in the area. The private beach was an added bonus. I would highly recommend this little gem in Penticton. Our 5 night stay was wonderful!

We booked this place based on the great reviews we had read, but were a little uncertain when we arrived. It is located off of a fairly busy road leaving Penticton, and the family suite we booked was definitely smaller than we expected. However our impressions of Lakeside improved quickly once we started our stay.
Although the unit was on the small side it was extremely clean, and fairly well equipped with the kitchenette.
The beach access was great. There is an underpass pedestrian walkway 30 seconds from the motel, with access to a private beach on the north side of Skaha Lake. Good sand, not crowded.
The motel is also right next door to a cool little restaurant called The Wienery, which serves delicious gourmet hot dogs and nice drinks on a patio looking out at the lake, and is run by two of the nicest people you will ever meet. And a few steps further down the lane is Second Scoop, the top rated ice cream joint in Penticton. Really good!
And the motel is pretty conveniently located overall...just a few minutes to get to downtown Penticton, the main beach on south Okanagan Lake, etc.
The motel also has a nice little shared green space at the back of the property with bbqs, picnic benches, a swing, etc. Nice little spot for outdoor meals.
But perhaps one of the best parts about Lakeside is the great customer service of the manager, Brandon. He noticed we arrived with bikes and offered to lock them up in the shed without us even asking, which was really convenient. And whenever we needed anything, from bbq tools to supplies etc, he was quick to respond and super helpful.
Overall, a nice little place where we would definitely stay again.

Owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Have access to private beach and are a short walk to a coffee shop and pub. They have a locked shed to keep your bike and are 400 meters away from the KVR bike trail. Good value for the price which includes a full kitchen and reliable internet.

We were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome at check in. We received a renovated room and the room itself was well appointed with thoughtful details (fridge, delicious coffee, microwave and lots of hooks and storage to place things), the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The villas are located a short walk to the beach. It was a wonderful stay!

This little hotel is a hidden gem just across the street from Skaha lake. There is access to a beautiful and quiet private beach that is just a two minutes by foot. Great place for a family! We used the outdoor cooking area and enjoyed a wonderful dinner - great idea! The owners were incredibly sweet and understanding when we had a surprise guest visit and they really made us feel welcome. Would highly recommend!

Feels like home, very clean and the private beach area is worth it! Staff are very professional and courteous and willing to help in any way. We stayed with a 2 year old toddler and having the kitchen was very helpful! Would definitely stay here again!

Top-line: Really friendly independent hotel with small but highly functional suites with decent kitchens. Shed on site for bike storage, as well as a new BBQ area, and there is direct private beach access under the road in front of the hotel. Bed was good. We'll stay there again for sure, primarily due to the great staff and beach location. Our small dog was the "pilot dog" for their new pet policies, I think they'll have that program sorted out for the summer. There's a great place to walk your dog directly behind the hotel, old dirt road with no traffic at all, and the owners supplied a dog bed and bowl, just great people.

More detail: It's clearly an older hotel right off a main road, and the initial "eyeball check" concerned us a tad. But it's truly a really solid place to stay. We were in the unit closest to the road, and they have good windows and doors, noise wasn't an issue for us at all. The kitchen has enough cookware to make decent meals, glasses, etc. Bring your own spices and knives as usual if you care about that sort of thing, but nicely equipped generally. For four it would be really tight, but the murphy bed in the living room is cool and would work if that's what you needed. Our dog loved it too :).

We loved our stay here. The lake access with private beach across the road (access via an underpass) was perfect and the yard with bbq's was a beautiful spot for morning coffee, to make dinner in at night and the kids to play in. The rooms were nice, very clean and the kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, even providing a shuttle for us to get to the top of the river channel (it's a 5 min walk back to the hotel via the beach - accessed though another underpass at the bottom of the channel). Would definitely stay here again.
