My family has been comming to this little gem of a motel for 4 generations now. It has the perfect location in all of Penticton. How can you go wrong with being directly across from the best family beach on Skaha lake in my opinion. It is a quaint motel that is super clean and so well cared for. It may have a retro look inside but it ads to the charm of this little gem. It is also great that they only have 12 rooms so over the years you get to know alot of the guests and find out most have also been comming for years as well. If you are a new commer to the Edgewater motel, you wont be for long as after your first stay, you too will see why many have been comming back year after year. Super family friendly.

I do not think there is a better way then a review, to understand just how important this property is to our guests. Many motels have sold and are now being turned into condos, yet this " gem " still hangs around because of the tourists/guests who have supported it throughout the years. A huge thank you to each and everyone of you! Well said Kimberly! We humbly thank you. Edgewater Family

This was an a amazing experience. Charming and retro feel but extremely clean! Was a great location for our young kids with the beach right across the street! Sharon was an amazing host/manager. Always asked what we needed or if we had any questions. She made sure the property wasn’t invaded with random people; since it’s private property, which made it very comfortable for us to have our kids hanging around. She was very friendly and made sure our vacation and stay was the best it could be! We will definitely be returning next year!

Thank You! It was our pleasure to have you stay and enjoy. The fact that you are three generations, enjoying the property and surrounding areas of Penticton, warms our hearts. Each generation that comes here, leaves a "footprint of memories", and we find this so delightful and inspiring. Your families left hand painted prints of each child on a piece of firewood, along with each child's favorite saying, for that visit. What a thoughtful, precious, and priceless gift! There is a saying that " memories " are like flowers to enjoy, until new ones can be added. We sure hope so! It takes a team to keep this property going, and you our guests are very much apart of that team. You kept us in business during a very challenging time in our world's history. Again thank you! See you next year!

We have been staying at the Edgewater Motel with our family now for 4 generations. Yes the Motel now is old and outdated but it's always clean and the only Hotel directly across the street from Huley Beach. Best family beach in Penticton. Yes there may be management in the past that has not been the best fit but this is not a swanky resort. You get the best views, the best beach access and in the best little town. They own the campground nextdoor so any and all amenities they provide are able for you to enjoy as well, including a Landry mat. Just tuck your devices away and stoll down the street to get ice cream while walking on the beach, or go to the many parks for the kids. They also have any awsome market every Saturday. Down town shop hopping or strolling down Okanagan lake on the other side of Penticton is also great. This is such a quaint clean Motel to stay for a weekend away or a big family get away. Best place in town!

Thank you. The fact that your family has been coming for 4 generations, says alot about the natural beauty of the area. I just want to correct the beach's name. It is called Sudbury Beach. We are slowly renovating, so I'd like to say we are more retro quaint, rather then old and outdated. I do agree though, we are located in the perfect spot for a well deserved vacation. I really appreciated you took the time to write a review. We will see you soon.

Penticton! What can I say... My wife and my four children have been coming here for over thirty years. We have always stayed at South Beach Gardens or The Edgewater! Great owners, great managers, great staff. We have made so many great family memories thanks to all of these people. They always make us feel at home away from home. Best Skaha Beach location in the city!! We will be back this August for ten days and we are so excited!! Our world has changed a lot in the past several months but this is one place we know we will still feel comfortable knowing they are taking all the necessary precautions to make sure our stay is still memorable and safe!

The room was clean and affordable but best of all the motel manager was excellent. She upgraded us as soon as noticed we were not three small guys. In addition, we had a dirty laundry issue and she assisted by cleaning our laundry. She was great!

Excellent value for money. The rooms are very clean, have everything you need. The manager is very friendly and helpful. The location across from the beach is fantastic, in a quiet part of town. We have stayed here many times and would recommend this motel for sure. Its got to be good when you can look out the window and see the lake.

For a suite motel this was the smallest most filthy place I have stayed. When we walked through the front door we were greeted with a pile of sand. It boasts a table but no one can sit at it because there is no room between the stove and the wall. The bathroom was the most disgusting smallest bathroom with no room to turn. The shower was horrific !! I would have preffered schitts creek motel !!!!!!!! Spend the extra 20 dollars and get a hotel

The woman who runs this place is a raging psychotic, who needs to be locked up. My family and I have stayed here for the last three years, and have rented at least three to four rooms at a time. Last year was the most eventful for us, the woman came over at 9 o'clock when we were having dinner in the communal BBQ area and started reaming us out for being too loud, she kept going off about how we were talking and making too much noise at 9 pm. And this was after we had spoken with her husband who said dont worry you guys are good until 11 pm with the noise. Then upon check out she claimed that my sister and her husband didnt wash their dishes properly and that she was going to charge them, I offered to go in to their suite and re-wash them and she wouldn't let me. Finally, my sister left my nephews blankie up there and called to check and make sure it was there, and arrange a way to get it back and the lady on the phone said "I don't have time for this," then she hung up the phone. If you want to be treated disrespectfully and get yelled at then stay here, by all means its a great location and decent rooms but expect the devil to be knocking on your door

As a hotelier my self ,originally from Penticton , but hotelier in Zanzibar Tanzania..I was very particular in my search for the perfect, safe , well situated( need beach ) for my daughter son in law and my young Grandchildren.

Allow me to say..Della and Dave the Motels G.M. are so personable, willing to assist in anyway that they can.

We have a large family here and had BBQs every night we were there! By the way the BBQs are supplied for guests to use on site.

The site is spotless as are the rooms. We were very thankful for the full size fridge, stove , microwave, coffee machine...and laundry service if needed.

Beautiful green space so kiddies and adults can chill and enjoy the shade , swings for the little ones..and best part...cross the road to beautiful Skaha lake!!!

The price is so fair and we feel like we made new friends and will be back....we just hope Dave and Della are still the G.M.

The last review does not reflect the owners during our visit. They were most helpful and polite. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the position on the lake ideal. Our Dragon Boat team use this Motel every year and I have no record of problems. We will be back next year.

Hi! We are not officially in the office during September 15th to May 15th. Those are the dates we are closed for the season. Reservation begin February 1 to March 1, via mail-in requests, and phone reservations and any questions, can be left on our answering machine to be answered as soon as we possibly can. We are not set up to take reservations via e-mail. We are a very small property and a large percentage of our guests are repeat visitors, so we rarely have much space open in July and August. If possible give us a call and leave your questions on our answering service and we will answer them as quickly as we can. I hope that helps you out.
